Northgate RV Travel Park

Need a spot for one night on my way back north. This place is perfect. The staffers friendly and helpful. Can't beat the price for full hook up pull thrus. Plus it's right off the highway. It was really quiet for being so close too. Couldn't hear anything inside and barely and noise outside. I would stop here again if I came back down this way

Good for a 1 night stop. Ignore the reviews about the owner being rude. He is just blunt and honest with you. I gave him a 10 minute warning upon my arrival as me and my husband got to tired too be on the road. You can check in at the office there's a drop box for cash or check when the owners aren't there. There's also security cameras so you will feel safe checking in late (not a bad area)

Excellent stop. Nothing fancy, but perfect. Easy on & off interstate, easy pull through spots. Perfect

This is the perfect over night stop. We were traveling to gulf shores from Indiana. Our site was water/electric. We are a 36ft travel trailer and our truck. We had plenty of room and could have been longer.

FHU, level pull thru, plenty long enough. No frills. $45/night. Right off the highway, easy in, easy out. Cash only. Don’t feed the donkeys.

This is a great no frills overnight place between Nashville and Birmingham right off of I65. Full hook-up service with 50amp electric and pull thru sites! We had great food in downtown Athens at Village Pizza. We will stay again! Thank you for offering a place to rest our heads for the night as we travel from Indiana to Florida!

This was a perfect overnighter on our way to Gulf Shores. It’s right off I-65. No frills. Just pull in, pay in cash, and park. Full hookups. The site we were on was mostly level. It’s all gravel so with gravel, the level can be off sometimes. We are a 40’ motorhome towing a Jeep. The site was long enough so that we didn’t have to disconnect the car. Perfect!

Great overnight campground. Very clean and peaceful with all over-nighters. 30/50 full hookup, lots of room for large rigs towing vehicles. Easy on/off I-65. Will definitely be back.

Full hookups, eady in and easy out right off 65. Relatively quiet except for some dogs barking in the late evening. Quiet at bedtime. Gravel spots, able to level. Closeby to eateries. Surrounded by farmland, nice overnight stay.

Just passing through?! THIS is the place for you!! We called late in the afternoon to check for availability. To our surprise, there was space available. We arrived about 8 o’clock at night. it’s very important that you pay for your space before you occupy it! The system is set up extremely efficient. You take an envelope and a card out of the box put your name, the type of your camper and the state the tag is registered in. They only accept cash or check. You put your payment in the envelope with your completed card and drop it in the dropbox. So simple, we love it!

The sites are fairly level. It is conveniently located to the clean, little town of Athens, Alabama. The turn in was rather tight for our 45' fifth wheel coming into the park, but the area was quiet and clean.

This is my favorite stopover. Close to l65 but it’s quiet. Farm animals all around you and nice level gravel spots. There is a lovely park nearby with a beautiful walking/biking trail. I know it doesn’t look fancy but it has all you need and more . Love waking up to roosters and cows 😊

This was a great place to stop for the night. Easy on and off the hwy. Pull through sites -Full hook-ups. Our site was pretty level. Very quite campground. Big rig friendly. Will definitely stay again when passing through the area.

Called ahead to see if they had a dump station. Said that they did not but we could pull into a stall and dump for $10. Extremely convenient and really appreciate the option.

This is a no nonsense kind of place. Extremely friendly to talk with. We got in late, or name was on the door with instructions on where to park. Cash or check only. Full hook-ups (we only did water/electric). Many complain about the lack of resources (no bath house), but the couldn’t be more clear on what they do/don’t have. Gravel and pretty level. Felt safe and got a good nights rest. East in/Easy out. Highly recommend if you need a quick overnight stop! We definitely stop again. Love their motto- no mean people!

Great location for an overnight, easy access to I-65. Nice crushed stone drive and pull-thru spots. The park is surrounded on three sides by fields. We stayed in our 40' MH with a toad and had no issues getting in and out.

Great inexpensive place to stay overnight. No frills and nothing to do if you stay more than one night. Close to the interstate, but far enough away that you don't hear much road noise. Long pull thru sites make it easy to park. Close to shopping, restaurants, and a buc ees.
