Ruth Ann's Restaurant

It was our second time in Columbus Ga, my son heard about from friends. Our experience there and the food was outstanding. I’ve had the best scrabbled eggs and red velvet pancakes there. We all enjoyed our meal. Definitely worth stopping by if happen to be in the area.

Can’t believe I hadn’t been here before. I can’t say enough good things about this breakfast, the service, the atmosphere: I recommend going early Sunday before 10 for best chances of getting a table. It is amazing

We love diners, and this one was fantastic. It was our first time in Columbus, GA. I ordered the red velvet pancakes (no whip cream). I love that it came with eggs and a breakfast meat. My husband had the steak and cheese omelet. We both loved our dishes, and they were reasonably priced. Our server. Jr., was great. Answered my questions, quick service, and really personable.

Great breakfast! Had the Sunshine - bicuits with sausage gravy, hash browns and two eggs. Miss Dana is a great server. Left us a nice note on our bill. Lots of local regulars came in and she knew exactly what they wanted...always a giid sign.

This place has amazing food. And the service was amazing coffee never empty. Also our waitress was so happy and made the dining experience amazing… I had the red white and blue pancakes the whip cream was amazing…
This will be my new weekend breakfast restaurant.

I went to Ruth Anne’s for the first time recently and it was delicious! It’s a very cute mom and pop place with great service. Our server was Dana, and she was awesome! The French Onion Burger was so good and I also loved their sausage gravy.

Dana was our server, she did an exceptional job. She answered all my questions about the menu and recommended some of her favorites (which is very helpful when visiting a new restaurant). I had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and they were delicious. Dana was very attentive and super kind. I’d definitely come back here.

This was my first time at this restaurant and from the time I walked in the door until my departure my experience was just awesome. Ms. Stephanie was my server and she was so sweet. She made sure my I received the best service possible. All the staff that I encountered there had a very nice demeanor. Great job Ms. Stephanie!

Great food and just as good service. We had the rooster (eggs, bisquits, chicken and gravy!) and several build a breakfast meals. The best pancakes were the peach and cinnamon. There was a 20 min wait bit worth it. Also the decor is old and the tables and chairs are in need of repair but the food far out weighs the other things. Wow just great food!!

Tabatha was a great waitress and was helpful on trying to give us ideas on things to do in the area along with Stephanie! Will come again if in the area!

My server was Jr. He did a fantastic job at making me feel welcome. Good with menu recommendations as well. I had the chocolate cake. It was delicious. The food was nice and hot and every time I come here the staff is so friendly and helpful. A Columbus staple.

Dana was the BEST waitress! On a busy Saturday morning she made time to chat and make me feel at home! She promoted the food with her detailed description of what was served and how tasty different items were. What a gem she is! Certainly an inspiration to all waitress staff!

They have some really good food definitely will come back when I am in town

I have eaten here twice and although I enjoyed both meals, the second visit was much better. The food was hot and delicious, but the real delight was the waitress. Stephanie was friendly and attentive. She has the best personality. I would go back to this restaurant simply to sit in her section.

Ms. Dana is amazing!!!

Update 3/7/ 24 : we have been to Ruth Ann’s 4 times and today while visiting Georgia , we had the unpleasant encounter with Falicia, one of the managers . Our food was room temperature (nearly cold) and when we informed her of this , she stated she just pulled the food out the warmer ( the food obviously was not in the warmer long enough because the inside of the food was not hot…just the outside) . We also saw her pick up our bacon with her bare hands a throw them on a plate after doing a bunch of other things before going into kitchen .

We will not let one person (Falicia) taint our experience of Ruth Ann’s overall but just wanted to share . She even proceeded to yell in the kitchen to other employees she just got a new thermometer (undermining us as customers ) so unprofessional .

Ms Dana continued to be apologetic and was so kind . We know she couldn’t do much because she isn’t the manager but Ms Dana really needs to be promoted . Her care for customers is truly genuine .

food was great, atmosphere was great, service was 10/10. Jr was so helpful with the menu, gave recommendations (being it was my first visit), and was very attentive. It was only me so there wasn’t a crazy wait. If you do stop in for some comforting food, definitely ask to sit in Jr’s section!

The food was delicious, service was great, & the vibe was good. We came in as a party of 6 and were quickly seated & waited on. Would definitely est here again. The menu has some fun options in addition to classic favorites.

The food is ridiculously delicious. Capn Crunch French toast and biscuits and gravy were excellent.

They had a sign up stating they were understaffed and might be slower than usual...but I had fantastic service! I had am omelet and a cinnamon swirl pancake, the other person had country fried steak and the French toast. The food was great, out server was amazing(I just can't remember her name...)!!! I am definitely looking forward to going back to try some of the dessert on their menu as well!! I overheard that the banana pudding is really good!

Came here via recommendation from a friend. It's a really nice local breakfast joint.

Especially on Sundays it can get very busy; you can get on the waitlist online.

I always judge a breakfast/Diner place by their country friend steak. Ruth Ann's did not disappoint. The steak was crispy; not overseasoned or salted. The breading wasn't overly thick and also did not separate when cutting through the steak.

The biscuits and gravy was awesome too. No additional seasoning needed for the gravy; a true mark of a well made sausage gravy. There was decent size chunks of sausage that was in the gravy as well.

Will be back again for something new!
