Abington Depot

I don’t post a lot of reviews but I’m sitting here eating my dinner I just picked up for takeout and it’s deserved. I haven’t had a bad meal and I’m absolutely loving the specials! Also have been there for two private functions recently and the quality was top notch. They’ve done an amazing job with everything since the reopening

Server was friendly and efficient.
Great food and prices!
Baked scallops, baked haddock and rib eye with potato and veg, each for about $23, unheard of!
Portion size was plentiful and the food was fresh and hot with one exception.
Vegetables weren’t hot but still tasty.
Worth a return visit!

We’ve been coming here for years. The new ownership has really stepped up the game. Staff is fantastic, shout out tonight to bartenders Cheryl and Dave, always friendly and attentive. The meal I had this evening was truly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Salmon on special and added steak tips upon request. Salmon was cooked perfectly, veggies crispy and delicious and the tips were cooked exactly as ordered. Thoughtful presentation. Highly recommend

Best wings I’ve had in a long time. Took me back like the food critic in Ratatouille to my childhood when I first discovered Buffalo Wings slathered in sauce in a foil lined Pudgie’s box. And tonight they were only a quarter each! We also enjoyed hearty salads and soups at our table. One plate included “the best potatoes skins she had ever had”!

Service was excellent. Shout out to the young lad bussing tables.

Atmosphere was great. It’s a bar and a restaurant in an old train station. The bar was full and vibrant, but respectful and not overly boisterous. It’s was great to see a space so alive.

Between the train station theme, the phenomenal food and the great staff, I can't recommend this place highly enough

Love this place!! The staff is friendly and love the historic building! Cool vibe and the drinks are amazing! I had the peppermint bark martini and it was delish.

Been waiting to get in and try the new Depot under new Management and so glad we did. Very busy night and the staff was hustling. They all did a great job! Our waitress came by a few times while we waited for our meals. My wife got the Steak Rice Bowl Special and I got the Tips & Chicken. Wow both were so tender, juicy and tasty. We got another bowl to go. Very nice place and we will sure be back.

On the evening of 9-16-23 we held a welcome home celebration for our daughter in the function room. From the time we booked the room through the end of the party the owners and staff couldn't do enough for us. Their constant communication and service were outstanding throughout. They all went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. One of the owners even called us the day of the event to let us know that they would have one of their staff design a sign that was posted outside the entrance welcoming our daughter home and thanking her for her service! The hall was impeccably clean and set up beautifully when we arrived. We had plenty of time to decorate before our guests arrived. Our server/bartender and bus person were extraordinary, pleasant, personable, professional and extremely attentive during the entire function. They stated that if there was something that we needed and didn't have that we should just simply let them know and they would do their best to accommodate any requests, and they certainly did just that. The appetizer station included our selections of a beautifully decorated cheese & crackers tray, scallops wrapped in bacon that were incredibly delicious, and mozzarella sticks. All were a huge hit and went very quickly. Our buffet selections included garden salad, rolls & butter, chicken parmesan/ziti, chicken piccata/ziti, chicken fingers with french fries, and steak tips with rice, We and all of our guests raved about all of the food and how delicious everything was! All of our leftovers were also nicely packaged up in covered trays for us to take home. We have long been faithful patrons of the Abington Depot Restaurant and under this new ownership, we cannot emphasize enough how much we would highly recommend them for your next function or to just simply stop by for a nice meal and the very friendly atmosphere!! Thank you Abington Depot for making our daughter's homecoming celebration so above and beyond our expectations!

Very pleasant to visit! Loved the steak tips with mile high onion rings and mashed! My favorite cocktail was made to.perfection too! I highly recommend Abington Depot!

I had the pizza and beer. My wife had the baked fish that was good. Will go back in the future

So glad the Abington Depot has reopened under new management! It looks great and the food was terrific! Young staff but very helpful and polite! We'll be back!

I love this place the food, bartenders are amazing. The hard working servers they are spectacular. We enjoy Tuesday Singo but unfortunately I can not understand/or hear clearly ( even right beside him/. The mic is to close to his mouth and he sounds muffled. But DJ Jim does a good job

Great place with a lot of character. Food was tasty, service was attentive and very welcoming. First time there, will be back for sure!

Food was really good. We had salads with steak tips and they were cooked to perfection. The baby spinach salad with tips was great. I’ll be back again!

We always have a good meal at the Depot. The service is efficient and friendly and the food is reasonably priced. Their cocktails are also good value; my favorite is the Caribbean Cooler! My husband has informed me that they have a nice selection of beers! When I used to eat meat I would always order their fillet mignon in peppercorn sauce. It was always perfectly cooked and I was never disappointed. There are a few options for people like myself who don't eat meat but will eat fish. My husband can eat anything off the menu and he is always happy with his choice.

Have to be honest was only there for a function being held upstairs. However it had the charm of a old building with a cozy atmosphere.

On a Saturday night it was well frequently by the locals. The building itself on the outside is very unassuming. Perhaps this is because of its historical significance and preservation ?

In any event there was plenty of parking and would have no problem going back.

I am gluten-free and they are very careful what I order and consume. Staff ,excellent, friendly and everything is in a timely manner . The Depot is my ,go to place !
