A classic reborn in Canton! Takara was known for many years in Canton as the go-to Sushi restaurant in the area.

A local gem having moved just down the street from its original location into the famous DD in the center of town. As I dined this evening it felt weird - having seen the view a million times while sipping a Dunkachino. But trust me, it is sufficiently different now.

Dark wood, dark colors, clean lines and many mood lights transform what used to be a local coffee shop into a very sleek, modern Japanese sushi spot. Clean and modern with tasteful decor and a mix of today's hits & Japanese music make for a great dining mood.

Seaweed Salad, Dumpling Soup and a sushi boat (read: board) for 2 was perfect for us. The food was delicious and fish was simply divine.

I went to the old location for years, I'll continue to frequent the new one as well. Just keep in mind, parking can be tight. Arrive early.

After a hike or skiing at Blue Hills this is a wonderful spot for healthy, delicious food.

Even after the move, the food is still as good dare I say, somehow even better. However they got rid of the koi pond so take that as you will. Still fantastic 20/10 definitely will eat here again.

Great sushi! They opened up a nice new location in Canton down the street from their former one. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Great for take out during sushi night at home. I have yet to dine-in but from what I've seen from picking up, the interior is clean, with plenty of seating options.

Service was fast and attentive, we got there around 530 on a Saturday with no reservations and were seated right away. We get takeout from here all the time, but coming in to sit down is even better.

The Takara roll is to die for. It's a bit pricey but worth it. have only done take-out but looking forward to dining in as evenings seem lively.

Hard to find quality Japanese food.
Very good selection of speciality rolls.
Before I find this restaurant we had to
drive to Lexington for Daikanayama restaurant.
I consider both comparable high class Japanese restaurants.
Note: Location matters, I only talk about Takara in Canton.

The place is amazing, the miso soup is also amazing. Workers are nice and serves us really well and nicely

The new Takara on Washington Street in Canton is awesome. The freshest seafood delicious five star quality attention to detail very diverse menu full bar no waiting bring your Valentine

Probably the freshest fish I've had in years. Delicious rolls and a huge variety. Also very accommodating to allergies

Sushi was decent though a bit warm when being served. The chirashi bowl and appetizers were excellent.

For sushi to be any fresher you'd have to dive into the sea. For those of us who need our sushi fix here on dry land, simply place your order online & pay;. You'll find your order bagged up and waiting for you on the table that also barricades the restaurant's entrance, masked sushi chefs stand watch a safe distance away. Grab your order and head home for a bite of Sushi Heaven!

Been going here for over 10 years, have never left disappointed

I went there tonight for my anniversary and was shocked to see how they clean their tables and asked waitress about it n she responded that is how they clean their tables, no sanitizer n food still left on table n she wiped it with a dry towel 2X in front of me.I then asked to speak to manager and she she will not give me her name,asked for owner and still no name. Beware people because my husband n I now have diarrhea n vomiting 😱

Great food, excellent service, its clean and has a huge selection of delectable items. A supurb find if you are in the mood to be wowed. Truly a fantastic place 10 out of 10.
