We brought our precious baby in and were terrified of what they would tell us. She had an awful car ride there. As soon as they took her out of the carrier she calmed down and made herself at home. The staff were great and very efficient. They told us what we needed to do to address our issues and got us scheduled for a procedure. I’m very comfortable that my sweet girl is in good hands.

I have an issue that needed attention fast and entered as a new customer. I was offered same day service! The veterinarian was very upfront and honest with me about all costs. We were able to plan was was best fit for me and my cat. Great place, they have my business. 👏

Staff was good, friendly and acknowledging. Vet was knowledgeable. Had a appointment scheduled, arrived early, was put in a room in under 5 minutes then waited 45 minutes for the vet and another 30 minutes for medication. Prices were reasonable and worth every penny.

My brothers house burnt to the ground. He lost his Fiance in the fire, and 2 of his 3 dogs. Lupin was in smoke for almost 2 hours. They said he needed at least 6 hrs of oxygen. This place is taking care of Lupin free of charge. Thank you for being here for my family in this time of need and thank you for being a pillar in this community

I'm truly amazed how patient and kind they are. I'm one with the million questions, and they not only answer everything, they are polite and I can tell they care. They even called the next morning to check on her after surgery, I was impressed. I have and will recommend them to friends and family.

Very happy with the care I’ve received here. On two different occasions they have fit my dogs in day of for eye injuries and sudden limping. My pets have also had spay surgeries, dentals, and mass removals done here. They treat them like their own animals, sending text updates as soon as they are out of surgery. Pricing is definitely affordable and they are up front about all potential costs. Happy to have found a clinic with great staff and knowledgeable vets! My dogs walk in happy and out even happier.

My dog showed signs of pancreatitis, had all the symptoms. Called State road animal hospital and they got him in within a few hours, tested him and had results in 10 mins. Luckily, the test came back negative and he was just sick. First time going to this vet. The staff is very friendly and treated my dog as if he was one of theirs. This is my new veterinarian and I would highly recommend this veterinarian for anyone looking. Thank you, State Road Animal Hospital!

For the second time after switching to this Vet I had an emergency with my 11 year old dog. They got me right in. He had a very large mass in his abdomen that was too large to fix😭. They were kind, caring and went above and beyond to make this difficult situation the best it could be. I would recommend them to all who need a kind and caring veterinarian. After over 40 years of using Vet's I have no hesitation telling everyone I know to go here.

Absolutely felt glad I have put my three cats in the hands of State Road Animal Hospital. My Salem was one sick little boy and thankfully he is on the mend. They did all the tests and I felt good that we had a plan in place when I took him home.

Dr. Waugh always takes the time to thoroughly care for my pets like they are her own. She never makes you feel like you are taking up too much of her time, but always makes sure that she answers your questions. If your beloved pet needs to stay in the hospital for the day, she carefully oversees their treatment at each step of the way. I knew the quality of her care for many years before she had the opportunity to bring her skills to State Road, and I have the utmost respect for her as a veterinarian. Having been to State Road, I can see that Dr. Waugh is continuing her standard of excellence. She is very compassionate and works hard to ensure that a patient's well-being always comes first; it makes me sick to see the people on here who have dared to insinuate that she cares about the money--it is the furthest thing from the truth. Thank you, Dr. Waugh, for being the intelligent, warmhearted veterinarian that you are. Major, Dublin, Layla, and I thank you!

Although the outcome wasn't what I was prepared for, I'm so grateful to everyone who tried to help my boy. They were kind, compassionate, and did everything they could. Hands down the best place to take your fur babies!!

I brought my 7 y/o pittie mix (Zeb) to State Road for the first time this past December. I was first greeted by one of the vet techs who recorded the introductory information for intake. The vet tach was a delight to talk with as she seemed genuinely interested in the background information about Zeb. Then I was seen by Dr. Petersen who also listened to our concerns about our dog with patience and total attentiveness. She first listened, then provided her feedback based on the information she had. The treatment regimen that she recommended has been extremely beneficial for my dogs health and quality of life. Dr Petersen has continued to be helpful as we navigate the new medications and monitor how Zeb is doing over the long haul.
I highly recommend this clinic as the staff seems very caring and fully invested in the welfare of the animals they treat. Keep it up State Road as I will spread the word.
