Area 57 CoffeeCafe

Every time we happen to come to this town...we always have to stop in to Area 57.

The place is welcoming and comforting. We can't get enough of their food and coffee.

They usually have lunch and supper specials for a good price! You can choose from basic or specialty coffee in a wide variety of flavors.

Their pies are to die for and we usually always get one to go!

Plus the staff is always friendly making this a great place to stop!

Walking in feels like a cozy place to sit and eat and mingle right off the bat. Getting to order at the counter , the staff made it very understandable for it being our first time and what they had for choices.
We ordered the French toast, the ham and cheese omelette and a Denver sandwich, all of which when they came were incredibly tasty. The coffee prices are not outrageous either for what you get. My wife got the pumpkin special drink (it was fall), and I got the caramel latte with an extra shot of espresso. They were very satisfying, especially after coming off of vacation where the coffee was very weak, it was nice to get some strong coffee again that also tasted good.
This will be on my list of favorites when I travel down this way again.

Friendly and welcoming, free wifi, great fresh sandwiches and an assortment of coffee selections. There are a variety of cakes, pies and giant cookies for dessert, all excellent and hard to choose from. We always stop here for lunch when we're in town. Try the Philly beef sandwich, it's great.

Kid friendly, let us order just a egg and it was served on a lid plate for our 1 yr old. Very good food. Friendly people working there.

The highlight of our day! My daughter turned 4 years old and wanted a hot chocolate so I took her on a date to Area 57 CoffeeCafe. First time here and it was such a treat. Their hot chocolate was delicious of course (how can you go wrong?) and we got the almond milk option which adds a light nutty flavor. My daughter loved the fresh flowers in vases on the table and the comfy seating around the fireplace mantle. The outdoor seating is very inviting too — perfect for a moment of relaxing and sipping your beverage. We will certainly make the trip back!

The rueben was phenomenal. Awesome unique tastes. What a surprise it is to have the local mayor serve your food. He's a very nice guy and his restaurant is clean and inviting. The pudding cake takes the Cake. We couldn't even hold off till we got home. Superior small town cafe. So good

First time stopping by Area 57. It was worth every penny. Great service, I had the Triple club sandwich it was great. Highly recommend. They have great coffee and drink options which is what puts then over the top in my opinion.

1st of many stops, we had awesome coffee! , Peanut butter chocolate pie, Raspberry Bread Pudding!! Treats to take home,absolutely a hidden gem! Service & atmosphere were 5 🌟

This is a great place to share with friends and family. Everyone is so happy and accommodating. They even remember name's and what you like to drink. Thank you to all who work at Area 57.

Loved it! How they crisp the bread as they do to perfection is a mystery! So flavorful and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I'll definitely be back

Coffee is legit. Omelet was awesome.
Lots of treats to choose from and they all look homemade.

Update* 3/14/19* this place is still awesome. My wife loved it as well. For sure worth the time if you are on your way from Minneapolis to Rochester. I always go here when I visit Zumbrota.

Great food and great service! I had the ham and Swiss and it was very tasty. Small town place with great food. The raspberry bread pudding was great!

Not just for pie & coffee! Sandwiches are so good! Edit: just as good as it was last time.

Just as good as the last time I was there. But now, it's decorated for Christmas!

The food was delicious and the server was nice. The place was busy during lunch time so I sat outside but it was worth it even on a hot day.

What a fantastic place! It was my first time here. I had the Philly Beef and my wife had the Beef and Cheddar. I'm really impressed with the food, the amazing polite service (you can tell they really care!), and the warm comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely stop back when in the area.

Great atmosphere, the service was excellent, and it has a very casual, down home feel. Their lunch special was a ham and smoked gouda cheese on marble rye with caramelized onions, and it was to die for! Definitely going back again!

The music outside is very welcoming, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. The staff service, food and coffee met and exceeded our expectations! I had a club sandwich with ham and coffee. So delicious! I rated five stars, because, how can I not?

I'm new to the area and stumbled across this place, dropped in to just get coffee to go. Once inside however I noticed it was crowded and the food looked good so I decided I would grab a bite to eat. Had the loaded potato soup and thought it was great. Stuck around for a little while to use the internet and had them make me a cafe americano. That was well prepared and a great conclusion to my meal.

Amazing sandwich & even better soup. On top of that they “pre-split” our shared meal -how thoughtful!!!! Nicest people & great food!!

Delicious locally owned. Love the pies, cookies, coffee, Philly cheese steak, chicken cordon bleu wrap. 😋
