Fantastic Food and Service. I had the Garlic Roast beef sandwich slathered. It was moist and very flavorful. The horseradish sauce agreat taste and consistency but not overpowering. Debbie had the Lake Fish and Chips breading was light and flavorful fish was cooked perfectly the color was gleaming white. Our server was very cheerful and polite and checked on us often. All in all a very enjoyable noon meal.

We liked everything about this restaurant. We stopped at this location driving up to the north shore. We got seated almost immediately. The staff was great, friendly and all the staff helped each-other out. The food was great. I had the walleye dinner and it was amazing. The decor inside was really cute. It was very reasonably prices. We will stop again on our next trip.

Just ate here and the food was excellent and the service was phenomenal. Our server recommended the beef brisket sandwich and pork sandwich. My wife and I ordered one of each and split them. They were both delicious. The dipping sauce for the beef and the BBQ sauce for the pork were great. We highly recommend the cheese and horseradish sauce add-on for the brisket sandwich. And our server was friendly, on-the-spot with checking on us and even offered tips for seeing the area. Highly recommended!

Really loved this place (restaurant experience only) Three of us had the garlic roast beef and added Swiss and horseradish. I had mine without a bun since I am keto. It was insanely good. Our waitress was...like the nicest person ever giving the beat service. We all could not stop talking about how good it was.

Went there very recently to stop for food. The service was very nice as the people working there were super welcoming and polite, but the food was through the roof! It was just the perfect taste. I had there favorite there which was a beef roast sandwich which was about $18 on the menu but well worth every penny if you ask me. Also get the fries without a dought. I just wish they wouldn't charge you another $1.50 for fries as I feel that should be just the standard if you ask me, but the fries were the most perfect fries I have every had! Perfect crunch in everyone! I hope this post made you hungry because it sure did for me.

The food was delicious and the staff was so much fun and helpful. I was joking with my waitress and asked for some wet wipes with my BBQ meal. She said we don't have anything like that. 5 minutes later she came back with some napkins that she had wet down on a plate for me. It made both of us laugh. Good place to eat and the rooms are amazing. It has been a few years since I have been there and the whole building has been remodeled very nicely. It's a comfortable room at a very good price. I recommend staying here

The service was impeccable. The atmosphere has this wonderful, homey warm Northwoods vibe to it. Plus, the food is phenomenal. The portions are not huge, so don't try and split them. Plus I love a place that has Castle Danger on tap. I ordered the barbecue beef sandwich, and it was so good I gobbled it down in 5 minutes. I regretted how full I was, but I just couldn't stop because it was so delicious.

The wife had the half chicken salad wrap and soup. She said it probably the best wild rice soup she has ever had. I had a bite of the chicken salad after she said how good it was, and she was right. It was excellent.
I had the Logger's Philly, which is a smoked pulled pork with red peppers and onions and cheese. Very good. Highly recommend and will stop by the next time we are up

Absolutley delicious! They had a nice smoke on the meats that really held up in the sandwiches that we tried - garlic beef (brisket) and the Cuban. The chicken wild rice gumbo was fabulous, I could have eaten a bucket load. But what brought us there was a local friend who said we needed to try the garlic blue cheese fries... he wasn't lying when he said it had a nice garlic kick! I'll certainly be back working my way thru the menu because not only was the food good the vibe was nice and we really enjoyed the banter with the staff

We stopped mid afternoon after a good hike at Tettegouche State Park and had terrific service and food. The staff made sure we were seated safe and comfortably. The BBQ will not be forgotten. The Garlic Roast Beef sandwich was the best. Good beer on tap too.

Stopped here for lunch today. We got a friendly greeting from Lucca, and were seated right away. Both the pork and the beef sandwiches were VERY good. Slaw was tasty & the potato salad was exceptional. Rachel, our server, was friendly & helpful, and Katie, another server, also stopped to check on our table. Comfortable, casual and will definitely be a regular stop for us!!

The moment I walked in, I could smell the aroma of smoked meats, and I knew I had came to the right place. The Logger's Philly has smoked pork shoulder and pepper jack, instead of sliced beef and cheddar. It was smoky, tender and was the best thing I ate all week! I should have ordered another to go, so I could have had it for dinner too. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

We had an early dinner at 4:30pm, but there was already a nice crowd. And it just got busier. So plan on extra time during the peak dining hours. All the food was good american fare. We ordered the kids cheese burger for the kids, had the competition pulled pork sandwich (bbq sauce done a la North Carolina style), ribs, fish and chips(catch of the day was herring and fresh). The salad was also nice. Good quality food. Good portion for normal eaters, but I needed a bit more

Great place right on Hwy 61 makes for a convenient stop. With all their excellent food, a bar with a nice selection of beers on tap, and friendly servers. What more could you ask for? The whole menu is scrumptious, my favorite is the burger with a fried egg on it, and if they have a special the day you visit. I suggest you try it! If you're on your way up or down the shore it is must to stop here.

I haven't stayed the night here, but I have seen a couple rooms. They were both well kept and nicely decorated. They don't have many rooms. So if you plan on coming up on a weekend in the summer or for the fall colors. Make sure you reserve it ahead of time.

Decided to book a room here after we cancelled at a chain hotel up the road! Saw some mixed reviews, so wasn't sure what to expect when pulling in...luckily everything we saw for bad reviews was greatly wrong in our books!

-Restaurant was a great atmosphere and our kids loved the food!
-Rooms were everything we needed and loved the decor and "cottage" feel. Plus it rained one day so the lounge, the books they had all over the place and puzzles and cards were awesome for keeping the kids occupied.
-My wife and I got a drink one night and the waitress/bartender Rachel was awesome! Super outgoing staff and put up with us well after their closing hours!

This was our first trip to the North Shore, but definitely plan on booking here again when we come back!!!

Have drove by here 50+ times, and finally stopped. Well worth it after a cloudy cold day of hiking. BBQ was awesome....and I love BBQ. Our waitress kept up with two large groups and small kids to boot. Will be back to try the hotel rooms someday!

I took a spur of the moment trip to the north shore and had no set place to stay for the night. I called Camp 61 around 6:30pm and was lucky enough to be able to get a room that same night. The staff there were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. My check-in took about 3 minutes and the checkout took even less time. The motel is immaculate. Everything was clean and fresh. The room was very comfortable and you felt like you were at home. No problems of any kind with noise. Gas station is right next door for late night snack runs. Secure and safe building. Compared to other places to stay in the area, this is the best price you'll find and it has the basic amenities that you need. Highly recommended and I will definitely stay here again. Didn't get a chance to eat at the attached restaurant, but from what I've read, the food is great.

This place is Fantastic! If you are looking for someplace different and wonderful, look no further. The staff are very friendly. It's clean. The service is exceptional! The food is delicious, you can tell it's homemade and they add some love to it. The tables have paper on it to draw on while you wait for your order. Will highly recommend to anyone coming to the area.

I am rating the restaurant portion of Camp 61 as have not stayed at the hotel part of it. As I was driving by, I saw the sign that said "Award Winning Barbecue" and had to try it. They're not lying when they say its award winning, because it sure tastes like it. Some of the best BBQ that I've had out of a place I wouldn't even expect to find barbecue, let alone it tasting so good. On their menu, they had it right on the top, so you can tell its their pride and joy. The award winning barbecue sandwich is the only thing I've had from there because I fell in love with it and can't get myself to try something else. It comes with either potato salad (home made) or fries. The potato salad is steak house style, so I personally didn't like it as much. Overall I'd highly recommend it if you like barbecue. I can't say if any of the other food tastes good, but the Q certainly does.
