Red Raven North Motel

Located in a prime spot on the North Shore! Our stay was great. Clean rooms set the stage for a fun experience, and the added bonus of having a bike shop right on the premises made our visit even better. The shop was a hub of cheerful and accommodating folks, James and Martha. Would highly recommend the motel and bike shop!

Absolutely loved this place! We came up for our anniversary and snowmobiling, they have plenty of parking space for trucks with trailers with tons of trails nearby! Nice clean rooms and super clean and hot showers! I definitely plan on coming back!

Great place to stay! Snowmobile trail is easy access from this place and plenty of trailer parking. Rooms are clean and inviting. Couple places to eat within walking distance if you don’t want to drive and Jimmy’s Pizza in Silver Bay delivers. Love the keyless entry for the room. We will definitely be back!

We booked through AirBnB and had an overall good experience. We stayed in room 8. It was spacious and comfortable, better than expected. The location is great, and has easy contactless check in. The hosts were also very good about communication-we had a few questions about plowing after a snowfall and TV access and they responded quickly. You definitely hear hallway sounds with thin walls-but that is pretty expected.

We stayed here over MEA weekend. It's still only the motel that's open. I agree, it will be nice when the bike shop and coffee shop are open... As for the motel, there are 8 rooms and check in and reservations were completely contactless. We got our invoice via email and paid prior to our first night. On arrival day we got a detailed and easy to follow text on where to park, how to get in, and our key code for the room. The room was as pictured, clean and comfortable. There was a night stand and chair, but no drawers or closet to store clothes, aside from a coat rack. Very spartan! Sound carries from the hall, but we couldn't really hear sound from neighboring rooms. The room has a white noise machine and fan. There is a mini-fridge. I wish there was a microwave or coffee machine, not the end of the world though. The place was nice and a great location for seeing the sights.

I recently stayed here through Airbnb. Very easy check-in/access, good price, clean room. It was exactly what I needed for the night and worked out well. I'll keep them on my list for next time I need a room in the area.

Awesome place to stop on a thru hike on the SHT. Decent little rooms and can't beat the price. Everything in town in in walking distance. And friendly to deal with. A million stars!

I found myself in a bit of a bind in Beaver Bay, After finding a 1/2 inch by 10" grade 5 bolt on my bolt trailer had shared off. I went into the, just opened, bike shop to see if they knew of anyone who had a drill and bits that I could drill and put a pin through the bolt to hold it in place. They were one of the few businesses open on the 4th of July weekend on a Sunday. Interrupting his lunch break that guy was gracious enough to offer me a drill and small bit, all I needed to fix my problem. Obviously not a bike or hotel related issue, I wasn't even a customer, but a guy who'll go out of his way to help you out after just coming through the door, in the middle of his lunch break, it's certainly a place I would recommend. I haven't been on a bike in 25 years, but this would certainly be the place to go. Once outside, with drilled bolt in hand, we grabbed a couple of pulled pork sandwiches, from a stand in front of his shop, that were dandy good too. Thanks again to Red Raven North!

Very knowledgeable bike shop and a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend it.
