Our family stayed at Cove Point Lodge for spring break. We have been here a year ago and absolutely love it. The lobby is gorgeous, the rooms inside the resort have amazing views of Lake Superior, and the Scandinavian breakfast (included if you stay at the hotel/lodge is fantastic.

Our family loved the pool, hot tub, and sauna.

We also spent one night dining at the upscale (price wise) restaurant and the food was delicious. Expensive , but delicious.

We will definitely stay here again.

Both me and my wife wanted to visit the North Shore but to avoid staying in Duluth— which brought us to Cove Point! Overall we are both very satisfied with our stay. It wasn’t overpriced, it’s not terribly far from the action, and the lakeside atmosphere in the morning and at night was awesome! The pool, hot tub, and sauna were decent and the generous small town vibes of the staff and offerings were really great. We will definitely consider staying again!

The windsong cottages were beautiful, we enjoyed our stay. Customer service was great. The wood burning fire place in the living room was a nice addition. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful Lake Superior property with charming breakfast and high quality art supplies for kids! Stunning trail walk-out, and relaxing hot tub, sauna, and pool. Staff are wonderfully accommodating and seek to make your experience exceptional. We will return!

I haven't stayed here, but I stay across the road at their sister property, North Shore Camping Co., but I stop at Cove Point for a few drinks and food. The staff here are awesome, and the food is great.

This was our second time staying at Cove Point Lodge. It's the perfect location for our hiking adventures at Tettegouche, Split Rock, and Gooseberry Falls State Park. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and gorgeous views of the lake!

We're guests of another couple, and so far, it's a great place to relax and close places of interest and nature activities.

We had a great stay! Wonderful view of Superior from our 3rd floor unit. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves lapping against the rocky shore. Enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner overlooking the lake. Very clean and updated. They are at least one of the best on the shore. They also gave us a jump start so we could go to town amd replace our battery. Saved us a lot of time and money. So kind. Pool was nice temp. too!

We just changed our reservation from a king to a 3 bedroom bunk cottage. Very accommodating staff. We've stayed here before and enjoyed it very much.

Rooms are nice. Be aware that if you visit in the off season, there aren't many restaurants open.

We spent 2 nights at the Lodge in April 2023 to visit the nearby waterfalls. Generous sized room, lots of big windows with lake view and gas fireplace. Very comfortable and lots of room to spread out. The food was surprisingly good and the bartender pours generous drinks. We loved the cozy, friendly vibe and will definitely return.

This is such a beautiful setting! The rooms are nice and equipped with a nice size fridge and microwave! Bonus! The beds are one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in.
Front desk staff was very helpful. They have a on site restaurant, which is very convenient! You can makes s'mores in the evening with all supplies complimentary. Lots of games and movies to watch in the room, since every room has a DVD player. Will definitely go back!

Awesome anniversary weekend! We were greeted with an unexpected surprise. I loved the Scandinavian breakfast, my wife wouldn’t try most of it, but was happy with what she did have. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and it was delicious. I had the stuffed walleye and she had the meatballs. We really enjoyed both. The views from the restaurant and our room were awesome. It was too cold when we were there, but they have a nice fire pit near the lake with unlimited wood and s’mores. The pool and hot tub also look nice but we didn’t try them. We will definitely be back.

Right on the beautiful Lake Superior. Our room was 3rd floor with a balcony. King sized bed with fireplace.
Trails to walk out to cove point and more.
Food is fantastic but you do have to wait a bit for it. We always did take out to our room. It was always at least 45 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait.

The room itself was fairly cozy and I'd say somewhat "rustic," though the amenities were fine. I stayed in the Queen Balcony room with a view of Superior. Lovely going to bed to the sound of the waves crashing. If I had a criticism, the balcony was not very private as there were many other balconies. It didn't matter much to me personally as I was solo.

There are nice picnic tables and benches as well as a small cove you can walk around with a rocky gravel beach. If you're up for more hiking there are a lot of trails you can hop on.

Staff was fantastic and helpful, appreciated the maps and guides for nearby activities.

The restaurant was fine, about what you'd expect from a place like this.

There is a 1.5 mile spur trail that connects with the main part of the Superior Hiking Trail. Also this is right on the Gitchi-Gami State Trail, a paved bike trail.

Cost for one night stay was very affordable, actually cheaper than a generic hotel in Duluth.

LOVED this resort! The cove point trail had such amazing views of the lake, the service was EXCELLENT! Santa Herb was very knowledgeable about the resort and made us feel very welcomed. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay along the North Shore

Beautiful place. So close to the lake. Great breakfast. Only issue was the smoke alarm went off at 2 am. They said they'd been having trouble with it in our room and two other rooms. Why would they rent it out then?

We've gone 2 years now and still can't get enough of this place. The location is convenient for many of the best waterfalls on the North Shore. The lodge grounds have a lot to offer for exploring and time on lake Superior. The staff is super friendly and every night is s'mores night!

We stayed in one of the smaller cabin units. It is not attached to the Lodge itself, but the cabin was booked through the Covepoint lodge. They had such a nice homey feel to them. The unit was extremely clean and well kept. It was very spacious and allowed for the feel of privacy in the rooms as well as a nice group area with the living room and kitchen. There were extra blankets which was awesome to see. The people working the front desk were very helpful with answering questions.

Everytime my family and I visit, we are greeted with smiles and fantastic service. The rooms are always clean, with great views and the amenities (s’mores, cookies, board games, fire, etc) of staying in the lodge make the stay even better! The breakfast is always great! The restaurant has great service, a smaller but delicious choice option!
