The Well - Massage & Sauna Wellness Studio - Beaver Bay

Absolutely amazed by this place. We are celebrating our honeymoon and spur of the moment booked massage appointments the day of. They didn’t have a couples massage available but Chelsie made the back to back appointments into a total spa experience. The tea, foot soaks and whole vibe was a great start to an even better massage. The use of essential oils, hot towels, rocks and massage techniques were out of this world. Between the two of us, we have been to many spas and had many massages but nothing compared to the care and quality we received here. We left the most relaxed we ever have and with a bunch of teas and goodies from their gift shop. We will be back again and again in our adventures up the North Shore.

I booked an appointment while on the North Shore for vacation. I was very nervous having only seen the web page and a few reviews. First, the place was beautiful! Incredibly clean and relaxing. Second, my therapist Josh was absolutely amazing. He made me feel very comfortable throughout and did a wonderful job. That was my first time with hot stone therapy and find it very special that they were Lake Superior stones. 😁 I highly recommend this place and Josh, whether you live in the Beaver Bay area or are passing through.

My entire family loves The Well. My husband and I have been to the Duluth location, and had amazing experiences. My boys (age 14 and 10) were the first to experience the Beaver Bay location and instantly fell in love! They were afraid a massage would be 'too girly' but when we left they were already wanting to book their next appointment! I love that massage will be something I can incorporate into my entire families wellness! You feel relaxed and at home when you visit. They take good care of every person that walks through their doors. Great therapists! Highly recommend that you visit!

An absolute gem. I’ve had a very relaxing couples massage here and a 90 minute massage, just myself and been impressed both times. The staff are kind, present and very good at what they do.
For my individual massage today, Chelsi asked if there was anything to focus on. I shared that the last year has been full of grief and that I’ve been carrying it in my chest and would love some focus on helping that release. From the moment I shared this and throughout the rest of my experience, I felt held in a safe and comfortable environment to be exactly as I was- tears and all. The massage was phenomenal- a real practice of breathing and letting go of the tension, and I could tell Chelsie was working almost intuitively with what my body needed, not just going through the same rhythms/motions on each side.
I’m deeply appreciative of this experience- it was more than just a “feel good massage”, it was healing.
I will be back with more regularity now that I know how supportive this space/these people are.

So wonderful! Relaxing, and accommodating. And very reasonably priced! I can’t say enough good things about this place. I had a 60min massage and facial and it was all wonderful! Plus locals get a bit of a discount and I looovvvve that.

My grandmother and I visited the well for our birthdays. We were more than satisfied with our experiences! The staff was very welcoming when we first entered. I immediately noticed it smelled wonderful. The therapists welcomed us and offered tea while we soaked our feet. We made small conversation; they were very friendly. When brought into the massage rooms we were asked about any injuries we have and why our goals for the session were. The therapist were very in tune to our needs and met them without any issues. The environment itself was calming, and when we left we both were feeling relaxed and reenergized. We both plan to return in the near future! 10/10 recommend a pampering experience at The Well!

A True Hidden Gem of the Northshore! This is a new favorite place and Josie was Amazing! The vibe was soothing and relaxing. I highly recommend the Deep Well Experience. It hits all the highlights with foot, facial and scalp treatment along with a wonderful massage.

The spa is curated so well such that as soon as you walk in, it smells amazing and feels so cozy! Everything is clean and organized. The staff were nothing but kind and communicative. The 60 min couples massage was incredible, and I absolutely plan on coming again! Don’t hesitate to give The Well in Beaver Bay a try! It is definitely a hidden gem.

I would highly recommend the well for any massage. My fiance and I have never had a massage so we splurged for valentines day/ our anniversary. The staff were amazing and the massage was out of this world. Staff explained everything in detail, and made the experience very calming. Next time we are up that way we will be sure to book!

The Well was wonderful! Laid back but professional environment. Jo and Chelsea were incredible massage therapists! Both professionals bringing help to trouble areas and complete relaxation as well. We are absolutely going back. Thank you ladies!

I have now received two massages here and have been super pleased with both experiences. The building has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, and the tea and foot soak beforehand put me in a nice mindset to start relaxing. I'll definitely be asking for gift cards for my birthday so I can have more massages here in the future.

I had my first session with Josie. I will be back. Josie has fantastic pressure control and freed several tight areas I've been struggling with.

As a frequent visitor to the north shore I will be adding a session at The Well to all future visits.

My wife and I had a couples massage. The massage therapist were AWESOME. One of the best massages we have both received and we have been to a lot of places. If your on the Beaver Bay area and gave the time this is a must do.

I have been to both locations that The Well has.
I’ve seen three different therapists and they have all exceeded my expectations .
I suffer from Chronic pain from a car accident 20 plus years ago.
I love now that the second location is only six miles from my house.
Now I see a therapist every other week and they have truly helped.
I would recommend The Well to everyone!!

Wonderful massage, Therapist was very passionate about her job and making sure my experience was the best it could be. I had shoulder surgery 7 months ago and left there feeling great. 👍👍👍
