Wow!! What a great experience. This very kind woman named Ina literally saved my (very, very wide) feet and saved me money too. I'm going on a trip overseas in a few days and my initial Allen Edmonds order did not fit because who really makes 5E shoes. I had no backup plan until I saw Hitchcock on the web and they came through for me. My first set of Oxfords fit but my other dress down set did not which was totally my fault. Ina put an end to my troubles! I did an exchange, got new shoes sent to me as quick as they can offer (they shipped them today for tomorrow) and didn't have to talk to ten people to get it done. Very polite and professional! An absolutely amazing customer experience from my end. I don't think I can ever buy shoes from anyone else.

I bought my first shoes from Hitchcock Shoes when I was 19. Prior to discovering them, all shoes hurt my feet. I am now 72 and have been a lifelong satisfied customer. My feet thank you for ALWAYS supplying me with comfort!

I read some of the one star reviews and those customers must have purchased from a different company. My service and experience was the total opposite. I purchased a pair of shoes on Hitchcock web site for a friend of mine who has a very wide foot. The shoe I wanted was in stock and was shipped and delivered as promised. Shoes were high quality and My friend could have not been happier. I will purchase again for sure.

I just ordered my first pair of shoes from your company. I have an awful time trying to get shoes/boots to fit. I did read your reviews here ....a lot of people seemed upset with your customer service. So far they seemed very nice.. I also realize that you cant always make everyone happy. I"m looking forward to finding out for myself before I pass judgment ..I did notice that you at least respond to the customers that complain and try to help. Many companies don't even do that !!!! I always give the benefit of the doubt .For now I give five stars....I will rate again after my shoes get here....

I have been a satisfied and happy Hitchcock customer for more than 20 years. I have purchased many styles, from dressy shoes to work boots and everything in between. Aside from being the only place in the world where I can buy shoes that fit, the staff are fabulous, friendly, and helpful.

There have been a couple of times that I needed to return shoes, for various reasons, but the exchanges have always come off flawlessly.

Mail order shoe buying is a pain - right where I never get a headache - but the folks at Hitchcock make it as good as it can be. My dream would be having a Hitchcock retail store near my home. If you need extra wide shoes, they have no equal.

I have 5 or 6 pairs of shoes purchased from Hitchcock over the years. With my 6.5 6E size I have few options. I just ordered another pair. Whether they end up being the perfect pair or not, customer service (in particular, Ina) are is always top notch!!!

Top notch selection of hard to find wide shoes. Caught the legendary (from Google Reviews) salesman in a good mood (perhaps he recalled our last purchase of four pair of Hitchcock's). A second gent, who was very nice, was working on this very busy day. THE place to go when you need wide shoes. Nice town with pleasant folks (it's worth visiting the Shipyard re-development which is less than one-half mile north (simply look north for the tower).

I have big feet. Out of the 40,000 pairs of shoes on Zappos, I have a selection of 6. Hitchcock blows by that number on the first page. I have never had a problem returning or exchanging shoes in the 20 years I have been buying from them. It stinks not to have the store nearby, being from Minnesota, to get things right the first time, and paying for shipping is a drag, but oh well. It the shoes fit in the end, that is all I care about and they have the product I need.

I have been ordering from Hitchcock for Extra-Wide shoes for over 10 years now. I am flabbergasted by the low ratings because I have never had a bad experience. It has been a while since I did a return (because I have been sticking with the shoes that work), but I never had a problem. No issues with shoes wearing out too early for me.

"This seems good, but do you have it in wide?"
"Sorry, that is the wide."

Have you heard this before? Do you go crazy looking for wide shoes? What you will hear at Hitchcock Shoes is "I'll go and get you the 6E." They have women's and men's shoes.

The shoes are well made and come in very wide sizes. The person working there was very easy going and helped all the customers through the process.

I left with the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Fantastic place.

Have been a mail customer for years. A little more $ than some online places but totally worth it. Great variety of styles for all seasons and the folks know their products inside and out. Showroom is nice and well kept, and the ability to ask questions of someone who knows the products so well is invaluable. Their insight into the way certain sizes run and the different lasts that the shoes are built on makes their recomendations often spot on.

This place is WONDERFUL. The staff are magicians - they basically took one look at my finance's feet and helped him get sized for wedding/dress shoes (which he was never able to find before!) We also got casual sneakers that look fun! After years of searching and settling for mediocre fitted shoes, this place made all the difference. FWIW, my fiance's feet are 12 5E. We are very grateful! :)

If you have wide feet this is the place for you. Great customer service and support in that store.

Their customer service is great, I ordered shoes for someone else and had to email them several times with questions.. they reply very quickly, The first pair of shoes did not fit and they had no problems taking them back for a refund.

Wow! I have never had shoes that fit right out of the box! This is briljant. When I got them I thought this was still going to take time again to get them stretched a bit so they fit better but nothing like that. I'm really happy with this. Sounds over the top but I've really been looking for this just about all my life. People from Hitchcock, great job! Please make more good looking dress shoes, preferably dar blue and dark brown suede. I'll buy all of them.

The folks at Hitchcock Shoes always take great care of us. We always enjoy shopping with them. Their showroom is clean and comfortable and the clearance area is always worth a look.

Friendly and knowledgeable, this store will go beyond to make sure you're happy with your footwear. Hard to find sizes are always available.

Have purchased about three pairs of shoes had exchange two pairs until I got my proper fit these people are great will work with you anyway they can customer service has been great!!! Like dealing with these guys no complaints!!!!!
