Hidden gem for getting up close with nature. We spent about 1.5 hours and took a rest on a bench that had a clear view of the area. I recommend shoes you don't mind getting muddy especially in the spring or bring an extra pair. Parking is mostly on street in a neighborhood. To avoid bugs I recommend going in the spring. Will have to check out the nature center when they open for the season the next time we come. We saw a lot of ducks, geese and turtles. The floating bridge is fun challenge and hopefully you won't fall off. Very peaceful

Gorgeous walk any time of year. Lots of wildlife, including birds, turtles, salamanders, beavers, and dragonflies. If you’re lucky, the hut will be open and you can see a lot of natural history items from the area with lots of information including pictures, skulls bones, turtle shells, and a lot of interesting reading materials, it doesn’t take very long to walk around and there are plenty of benches to take a break on. There are a couple of very long bridges and one of them is pretty shaky so beware that you might want to hold the little ones hands as you walk across. Keep in mind that, because it is a natural wetland area the leaves tend to turn earlier than the rest of the town. Dogs on leash are welcome! Donations appreciated. Take a walk and enjoy this beautiful place you won’t regret it!

It's magical! I can't believe I hadn't been here before. Now that I know where it is, and what a wonderful little area it is I will be coming back!
The trails are well marked, everyone was courteous with their leashed dogs.
The pictures don't do it justice. It's beautiful, and there is so much life to see!
I'm not a hiker and the walk was easy for me. You may get your shoes wet, so prepare accordingly.
It's free to go!

Awesome place to escape for a while! Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Tons of birds and well marked trails make this an easy addition to my re-visit list.

A beautiful place, even this late in the season. So many geese in this location and a random pitch pine on the trail? (There isn't a single other pitch pine around) it was a lovely place and I wish I had more time to explore. Will be returning soon. Also it's free, so can't go wrong with it

What a nice little spot! I've lived in the area my entire life and never even knew this little gem was here. My wife and I spent a hour just walking around the bog one morning, it's a nice way to get back to nature for a little bit. The trails were groomed nicely and the bridges and walkways were sturdy and in good shape. We had a great time.

Great walk! If you're taking young kids give yourselves a couple of hours to get all the way around and make sure you wear sensible shoes. The planks may be wet and moving depending on the water level.

Happened upon this area by chance and we were delighted we stopped. There is a 1.4 mile trail around the bog, well maintained. Great self guided trail booklet with much info. There is a beaver dam and multiple beaver lodges. Spotted a moose past the dam.

Wonderful walk! It was so peaceful and I can't wait to go back as more of the leaves change color. If you have an eye for nature photography, then bring your camera and snap away!

Lovely several mile hike around the bog pond with boardwalks, rocks, roots, and wiggly bridge to negotiate. Some lovely spots for taking photos with mountain backdrops.

Hiked here in early spring, a little slick but picturesque and beautiful in a sort of bleak way. I can't wait to see the diverse flora and fauna here in the summer!

Beautiful natural area with a small visitor center packed with guide books. No designated parking area as far as we could find, but some road parking was available near the visitor center. Quite buggy, but amazing otherwise!

Fun spot! Dog friendly with well marked trails. Even in the passing rain it was a pleasure.

Interesting, especially since it is not a bog but a fen. The volunteers explain the difference and you get to walk around on the edge and see a beaver dam.

This is a lovely walk around a sunny bog. There's a lot of different areas to see. Forrests, rocky cliffs, open water with nesting birds, beaver dams/lodges. It's a reletively easy walk, and there are sections of walkways over the water that allow for observing the ecosystem closely. A very nice activity for no cost.
