Konbu Japanese Restaurant

Our family has been a loyal customer of Konbu for 15 years. If you want the best sushi in the area Konbu is the restaurant by far. We have had sushi in Japan, Hawaii, NYC and this restaurant is just as good, if not, better. This is a true testimony!!! The owners are great people and the servers are wonderful. We love going to Konbu and you will as well.

The food was amazing!! We sat down and were waiting for about five minutes, and then another family came in that must go there a lot because they received their hot tea before anyone even came over to our table. So that was disappointing for us!! Otherwise, they made up with the food and presentation.

Love this place, try the captain crunch roll wow! Chicken fried rice it's delicious and my favorite, we always go for sushi too. Very friendly and pleasant staff, the owner is nice too.

Have been coming here for the better part of 20 years. Great people and food. No other sushi place compares in this area in my humble opinion.

The food is always fresh and delicious. Sitting at the sushi bar is always great conversion. I've been coming here for years and have had a wonderful experience every time.

Best sushi in central NJ by a long shot, not sure why so many people are complaining about the service or the waitresses, they are the best around. If you actually like quality well made sushi + appetizers this is the place

We went teriyaki tonight. Rita had the scallops that had an almost buttery texture. I had the salmon, but pan seared and no sauce. It was most in the middle with an crisp finish. We were both pleased with our meals.

Friendly staff and fresh sushi - great combo! My favorite appetizers are baby octopus salad and yellow tale jalapeno. Food is always fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!

One of the best sushi places around - the fish is always fresh and James cuts generously sized sashimi portions. Staff is attentive and food is prepared quickly but with great care.

The best sushi / sashimi in central NJ. I've eaten sushi all over the country and Konbu is some of the best. Always fresh, always innovative and Chef/Owner James is a great guy and always happy to please. I highly recommend!

Go there all the time they have the best sushi I've ever had they have the freshest fish, the cooked food is very good as well. I highly recommend this and do to everyone deff 5 stars!

Amazing sushi. Too many half price sushi places have opened up in the area and the half price is reflected with half as good of a taste. Konbu will give u quality food and huge rolls. Tami is the best!

Konbu has by far the best sushi around. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. All of the sushi is fresh and the main entrees are cooked to perfection.
