Tomo Sushi

Excellent quality fish, very nice Japanese sushi chef, personable. Very good sushi, they used to grate fresh Wasabi. Not sure if they still do. Very good prices for lunch special. Only competition is Maru Ichi. All other sushi in Princeton is bad. Avoid Nassau Sushi, MTea. Ajiten is excellent but stratospherically expensive. $3.50 for salmon nigiri 1pc here, $2.25 at Maruchi, $5 at Nassau Sushi, and $7-9 at Ajiten.

Not a dine in place, more of a take out place.

I have been a patron at this place on-and-off since 2014. I find the restaurant itself to be charming, it feels like a cozy Japanese izakaya, even though I don't think they serve alcohol. I have been to Japan, and to authentic sushi places around the world — and this place is authentic enough. What I like about it is: (a) The food is always good, (b) the food is always prepared very fast and (c) the people running the restaurant are kind and friendly. I like to order from their online Square platform because the prices there are the cheapest since they are not gouged exorbitant fees from the platform. I love ordering lunch and picking it up 15 mins later. Through dozens of orders, the food has always been exactly what I wanted. This place has been consistent for as long as I have known it. I am glad it is around.

The owners are so friendly and this has become a staple for me and my family. Their nigiri comes with very large pieces and they are always dependable. Their non-sushi japanese food is also excellent. Overall, I love this place and can always count on tomo

Popped in for a few Poke bowls during lunchtime and was very impressed. The sushi was fresh, presentation was aesthetically pleasing and reasonably priced. I will be coming back for sure.

We used to go here once a week when we lived in Princeton. The ingredients are fresh and we like that it is a casual atmosphere with no waiters. The place is very small, but you'll always see people there because everyone knows it's good!

Tomo Sushi is a courteous restaurant with great prices and generous portions! My salmon teriyaki and miso soup were delicious and filling :)

Real sushi and much better food and service than the sushi on Witherspoon. Recommend it. Variety of prices too. The sushi chef has been making sushi for 40 years and wakes up every day at 3am to go to NYC fish markets and pick his fish. Really nice guy.

Small establishment but they know what they are doing. My wife and I had take-out from here and the sushi was great. The Sashimi was amazing, and something like Sashimi must be done right or you will get sick. The Octopus was not as tender as I would like but the choice on the salmon and tuna were great. We are excited to head out and order the food at the establishment. A smaller establishment such as this one, in my mind, gives a much more personal feel and better sushi then a larger establishment were there is no repport with the itamae.

Hole in the wall to-go place with a table or two and some bar stools for counter eating. Salmon avocado was delicious, and I needed another serving of miso soup. If they had hot tea it would have been perfect but the second bowl of soup was a sufficient substitute. Liquor store is right next door so grab some beer and a feast from this place you will not regret it.

The lunch specials are such a deal! I especially like the negimaki, the spicy pork, and the eel. Although I mostly get them to go, I've enjoyed eating at the location too, it's a refreshing place

Tomo's Sushi is so delicious!!!! We usually dine in, but this time the only option was to take out. Nevertheless, sushi deluxe for take out was the same exquisite taste 😋🤗🤗

Went here with a few friends. We all got bento boxes. EXCELLENT! Solid food, got our order quick. Will come back!

This restaurant is amazing. Honestly, it is difficult to find something that you would not enjoy from their menu. I do have to agree that the octopus is not as tender as I've had in the past, although it is not bad at all.

Great little sushi place for a really good price!

I just get their takeout lunch combos. They cost 10$(but its princeton so what do you expect) and are very good and filling.
