Beautiful covered bridge in Rumney NH. There is a parking area just below the bridge so you can view it closer !

Adorable place to take the kids, or yourself to walk in the cool mountain water. Can wade in to waist deep water when the rain has filled the stream coming down the mountain. Otherwise it's nice to walk through. Cute spot for a picnic.

Smith bridge is a great place to sit and park, eat your lunch, write your notes, have fun with your friends, go swimming, just sit and relax.

A lovely bridge with the Baker River flowing under it. The water was crystal clear and great for swimming. Plenty of parking to enjoy the river, the views and the picturesque covered bridge.

It’s quite a climb to get to the sidewalk around the bridge. DO NOT GO ON THE ROAD! People are doing 55mph over his bridge!! Even when you lean in to take a picture from the walkway outside of the bridge cars are uncomfortably close! Pretty bridge from afar!

Great place to swim! The log that is sticking out of the water has been there since I was in 6th grade. I am 37 now! This is our regular swimming hole

Still in use, this lovely, one lane bridge spans the Pemigewasset river. Enjoy the gentle rumbling sound as you cross the bridge in or on your vehicle. No pedestrians, please! Parking near the bridge is extremely limited. Consider having lunch at the Covered Bridge House restaurant, just steps from the bridge. Good food and scenery, ample customer only parking, and outdoor dining in season. Doesn't get much better!

This is one of our favorite swimming holes. There's a rope swing. There's a huge tree sticking out of the water in a deep section, perfect for diving off of. You can find deposits of clay in the river. In the summertime, we go weekly.

Pretty covered bridge.

Always busy in the summer for swimming.

Make sure to read local watershed results before swimming though. There have been several times that they don't put warnings up and people are swimming in water that has high levels of e-coli. 🤮

This is my favorite Covered Bridge. Not only is there plenty of parking here, but it's a great swimming hole with a rope swing. You can drop your floats or kayaks up river and pull-out here.

This is a great covered bridge that is not as old as others in New England. It replaced a single lane covered bridge that vandals burned down many years ago. Nice little beach to go swimming. You certainly need to check it out!

Nice place to go swimming. Smaller more quiet area. Shallow and deep swimming. Well maintained as a public swimming hole. Float down the river or bring a chair!

It was 100% a bridge alright! Right like it says on the tin! Made mostly of wood and built in 2001! What a year!

Purhaps if you are looking to travel across a bridge, choose this one. You can only cross it from 1 of 2 directions at a time, but don't be discouraged; you can easily turn around and cross it again from the direction you missed! What a deal!!!
