My girlfriend's Chihuahua was having some issues with her teeth and needed to have a few extractions done in order to relieve her pain. We scheduled with HCVH and they were able to promptly schedule both pre-op and surgery, and the entire experience was smooth and professional with an excellent bedside manner.

Her pre-op visit was just to take some blood samples and to give her a general physical, whereas on the day of surgery she was dropped off in the morning and picked up by mid-afternoon. While she was expectedly dazed when we first got her, it became obvious that she was feeling better by the next day based on her appetite.

The staff made sure we were all clear on what kind of post-op care she would need, what her medication schedule was, and what to do in the event that she had any complications, which she didn't.

We've got one more dog with the same issue so we'll be back, and I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for great care for their fur babies.

I have been a happy customer for over twenty years. It always comfort to walk into the office because of caring people from the front desk to the sweetness of the vet tech and the expertise of the veterinarian. I always feel I have choices with my cat’s treatment plan. The office is very up to date with new treatments and medications. I appreciate being able to email the office and receiving a response and not have to always bring my pet into the office regarding my concerns.

These folks are the best vets around. The closer vet to our home that we used for years wouldn't see our dog who was dying of old age and ongoing undiagnosed healh issues. During her last few weeks things got bad with her not eating or drinking, inconntance, confusion and shaky on her feet. Our vet wouldnt make time for two weeks. We called this place, eventhough they had never seen us before after hearing the condition of our dog they got her right in that day and did what they could to make her comfortable and attempt a plan to extend her life. Although they couldn't help her live longer what they did for her during those last 2 weeks of her life to make her comfortable I won't forget. Especially when the dogs lifelong vet wouldn't see her. This was during covid as well but they still took us in. They are more knowledgeable than other vets we have used, are very kind humble people and really go the extra steps to make sure the animal is well cared for. They go over pricing with me and Ive had the bill come in less then the estimate on several occasions. I am very comfortable bringing my dogs here.

We have been coming to Hillsborough County Vet for over 14 years! Sarah, Randy and Dan have been there throughout all of our years there and have loved all our dogs! They have taken such loving care of our dogs and of us during the puppy times and at the end of life times and all the times in between. We appreciate them so much ❤

I have been coming to Hillsborough County Veterinary Hospital since 2006, upon a referral from a friend when my 2 month old husky began having seizures and I was very displeased with the vets I had been trying since my old vet was bought out and turned into a money mill, not a veterinary service. I was so pleased at the service and compassion, and how the doctors listened to me and my concerns, and the direction I wanted to go in for her care. Throughout the last 18 years, I have brought all my pets to them, and always get the best care. Every single staff member from the receptionist to the doctors have been amazing and compassionate. I recommend them to EVERYONE and get numerous thank you's from my friends who do go there. I cannot speak highly enough of this facility and the care and attention every member of my family receives. There is not a bad doctor in the bunch, and the vet techs are all amazing, as well.

I think Hillsborough County Veterinary Hospital is wonderful. My very senior fur babies (2 dogs and a cat) were introduced to the doctors a few months ago, when I moved to this area. Since then, we have had to deal with some very serious medical conditions. The staff could not be nicer. They are very willing to go out of their way to help. Dr. Baldwin is patient, kind and compassionate. If I call with a question, she comes to the phone or will call me back, as soon as possible. When I bring my babies in to see her, she takes the time to talk with me. I never feel rushed. She is a terrific Primary Care Physician, for my kids. I was referred to this hospital by a local groomer. She spoke very highly of all the doctors. I am very pleased with my choice and I absolutely recommend this hospital.

Love the veterinarians and the staff here! They are always helpful and make our kitties comfortable. Been coming for many years. We followed our vet from a hospital in Nashua to Amherst. Now that she has left the practice, the new vets have made our kitties feel equally at ease. The professionalism can't be beaten in my mind.

There's a reason this place has five star reviews! Amazingly kind, caring & respectful staff. Between the vets, vet techs and front desk people, this place should be used as a teaching model for vet school students. Amazing, prompt service with state of the art equipment. If you are looking for a new place to send your animals, look no further. You already found it!

Always friendly staff willing to find time to squeeze last minute appointments in for emergencies. You can tell they truly do care about my cat and treat him so well. My cat can tell too! Everyone has been very good and patient at communicating everything they find with us and explaining issues going on, the remedies we're taking, what could be expected by them, and answering every question we have and doing so in ways and terms we can understand. Highly recommend anyone to take their pets here. There are some vets a little closer, but we make the longer drive to come here, and it's so worth it.

We have taken our cats to Hillsborough since 2016 and I wouldn’t bring them anywhere else! The staff is so caring and professional. Dr. Porter is our vet and she is wonderful! She is honest, thorough, caring and has always taken the time to explain and help with even the simplest questions.

We have been going here for many years and our pets have always been treated with expert care and compassion. Our experiences with Drs. Belanger and Porter have been outstanding. They have conferred with each other on our pet’s care and with other experts in the veterinary field. You will not be disappointed with the level of care you will find here. And their support staff is outstanding as well. A first class organization all around.

I have been going to Hillsborough County Veterinary Hospital for many years with my cats. (Dr. Porter has been my vet for years, even before that as well.) All of the technicians and vets there are great and handle my kitties with the best knowledge, equipment, and vet techniques. I trust them, and think anyone looking for a great Vet Hospital should go there. Most of all the kitties like them all there!

I have used this vet for many years and they are amazing!! The doctors are so patient and just love my pets whenever we visit. The vet techs are all wonderful and so nice. Second only to the level of care they give my pets and to me as a dog & cat parent, is there very reasonable prices. I have recently moved out of the area and tried a new, local vet for my cats. Big mistake! The costs were through the roof and I am not confident all of the tests were necessary. I am so spoiled by Hillsborough Co. Vet. It is a much farther drive for me now, but I am switching back to them for all future needs. They are worth the extra time and effort to travel there for my furry babies’ care.

The vets and staff has always been excellent to my family. They have been a great family vet clinic since we started going here around ~2000. All the staff have good relationships with our pets so they feel comfortable and safe.

I’m a first time dog owner and been taking my dog here for about 8 months now. Everyone we have dealt with has made us feel so comfortable having our little man in their care. Tabitha has been one of the nicest people to our pup and he gets excited to see her every time we come.

Our experience with our dog at the Hillsborough County Veterinary Hospital has been exceptional. The team there is very professional and available for any needed appointments or questions. They are friendly and caring. We appreciate what they do and highly recommend them for their veterinary services.

If only I could up that 5-star rating significantly I would! A little over a year ago our beloved and very gifted vet retired leaving us sure that we would never find another vet/clinic that could come remotely close to filling her shoes. A lot of angst especially as we knew we were nearing life's end for our older Golden. It was immeasurably comforting to be welcomed with very wide caring arms by everyone at HCVH. Each and every visit there since has been equally warm, caring - and comforting knowing that the quality of care our dog and cat are receiving continues to be top notch bar none. I very highly recommend!
