Ichiban Sushi

This is one of the best All You Can Eat sushi places in the area. Much better than Sushi Palace (Princeton) and about as good as, and sometimes better than, Sushi Saga (Edison). The quality and amount of sushi you can get for the price is fantastic.

The pictures I've attached are from a few different visits. The kitchen food is very tasty and always comes out fresh and hot. The sushi rolls are beautiful and delicious. The sashimi is so, so good. The sushi is good, but the sushi rice is under seasoned and tastes more like plain rice.

The only downside: this place is so good that it gets very packed around dinner time, especially on weekends. I have waited over an hour for a table once.

Word of advise .. order more sashimi than sushi or you'll get full real fast. You can't go wrong with all you can eat sashimi and sushi!

Awesome food. Big portions and fair price. Absolutely enjoyed it. Don't miss their ice cream tempura :)

Update: this is my second visit and it is even better than last time. They just cannot stop being AWESOME! My wife and I ordered Rock'N shrimp and edamame for appetizer, volcano roll and spicy grill roll for main and everything was absolutely perfect. Check out my photos and hope you enjoy ,☺😉

The food was incredible and the service was super fast! No wait at all. Definitely recommend going on a night Monday-Thursday. I frequently eat here, and I did notice that their price Mon-Thu went up to $25.99. It used to be about $22/23, and $25.99 was their weekend price.

Ahhh how to describe the best sushi place on earth. I've been to a lot of states, and countries but I am yet to find a place like Ichiban. As the name states, it is truly the best sushi. The prices are affordable, its all you can eat, the food is always fresh, perfectly made, delicious and pleasurable. Honestly, I can't describe my love for this place enough.

Really wonderful. The appetizers were wonderful and the service was great. Might be the best all you can eat sushi in Mercer County.

Dining inside (I've had their amazing takeout too) is the best way to enjoy Ichiban - it's truly the highest quality presentation of sushi, sashimi and apps I've ever tasted.

Went there for lunch with a sushi-loving friend for all you can eat. The place is in the corner of the strip, so not exactly visible. However, very spacious inside, no weird lingering stale smells that are typical of a corner restaurant IMHO. The service was quick probably because we were the only ones on a friday lunch time. Makes me wonder though since usually friday lunch times are what folks at work go out to lunch for. Anyway, the quality of the food was decent, rolls and sushi were proper sized, seemed fresh. The wasabi was neither flat nor radioactive green. Was a fine paste so not just wasabi root for sure but had a nice kick.

My favorite place for sushi. It's a half hour drive but worth every minute as I have the best sashimi salmon.

It is great place! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I tried many things for the first time and I was not disappointed.

Very good, very fresh sushi. They have a three roll lunch thing with miso soup and a salad for 13.95. I got the shrimp avocado roll, the Tuna avocado and the white tuna scallion roll. I couldn't tell you which one was the best, they where all awesome. Great service and nice atmosphere.

All you can eat sushi for $32 per person when the sushi is really tasty is a deal you cannot beat. I loved the Godzilla roll and they have all the classic rolls that are just so tasty. As Ichiban is in the food service industry, they seemed to be slightly understaffed however that did not make the wait times between rounds too bad as they were very efficient. I can't wait to go back

We've been here pre-COVID and had a sit down dinner, which was a good experience. Had a sushi craving and tried the maki roll lunch options- shrimp tempura, chicken tempura, spicy tuna and sweet potato rolls (take out). The rolls were fresh and tasty. They were packaged very nicely, with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce packets. The lunch option comes with a miso soup and small salad with ginger dressing, which is a pretty filling meal. Ichiban Sushi has fast online ordering and the food is ready quickly. We asked for spicy mayo in the online order, but didn't see it in the bag. Pick up was easy- as soon as you walk in, there is a plexiglass window and someone to hand over the food to you. Definitely have to go back and try the other rolls in their extensive menu! This is a great local lunch/dinner option!

This is my favorite place to get sushi!! The sushi is incredible, fresh and they make it quick. I love how they make the shumai, crab rangoon and chicken teriyaki. I love having the green tea ice cream after. I come here very often with friends and family and the fact it's all you can eat makes it that much better. I'll never leave!!

It is really a five star place, contrary to its plain (boro:) location…

Love this place has outstanding bento boxes, and all you can eat sushi (with a large increase in the price lately.

Saturday nights are busiest night, so the service sometimes suffer but the food is always excellent and usually no line to wait on.

Actually had some senior people from CHINESE Fire Service who took me here the first time and how they knew about it in Peking I have no idea , if I have loved it ever since.

It’s always a lovely experience eating here. The staff are prompt and the food is delicious! The all-you-can-eat menu is a win if going with at least three people or a single friend who can hold their own! Sushi and fish is always fresh!

Always a delicious meal. Low key spot next to another bomb Indian restaurant. This is the only sushi spot Plainsboro needs. The food is great, the dining room is dimly lit and being tucked away in a corner gives the restaurant a cozier feel.

My boyfriend and I love Ichiban it's our absolute favorite place in the world. We had our second date here. Sadly the only time we want and crave sushi is Monday. When they're closed. It's like wanting Chick Fil A on a Sunday. But still best food best vibes.
