Something Different

I was blown away by how delicious my cajun chicken pasta was! Hubby ate homemade hamburger and really liked it. The menu is varied; anyone could find something to like here. I also got a side of collards, and it is made with beef bacon, so any creed could enjoy. They tasted as good as any I have eaten in the Deep South. I say that as a Southerner! It is a clean, cute little place furnished with hand-me-downs (which I really don't mind at all - actually I am all about reuse/repurpose/recycle,) obviously very newly opened, so I was prepared to forgive a lot, but did not have to. Bonus: the couple who own and work the place are genuinely nice and interesting people. We were treated as honored guests and my huge service dog and my equally huge service dog in training were welcomed. The only reason I left off one star on atmosphere was because the neighborhood is a little bit shabby, but there appears to be a movement to revitalize it. I was not the least concerned to be there. And good for this couple to be part of that movement to make their world a better place! I definitely would make a point of coming here again next trip through.

The food is delicious. He puts a nice spin on "comfort" foods. The fried cabbage, and the kale side are perfect. The barbecued fried chicken and stew chicken are outstanding. There is a nice mix of "soul" food, Carribean dishes and original recipes. The decor is cozy and the music is really good. Prices are very reasonable compared to the service; each dish is prepared freshly.

One of the best halal spots to eat at here in Binghamton. The menu and food is really "something different." The food is beyond amazing, and when complemented with the atmosphere and the hospitality of the chef, makes the perfect place to eat when you're hungry. You'll understand what I mean once you go. I pray for the best for the restaurant and it's owner.

Outstanding service! Private outdoor seating available and 1 of a kind menu with fresh juice blends. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Everything is halal and they offer a wide variety of vegan food as well as freshly brewed sorrel and ginger lemonade(and bean pies), highly highly recommend!

I just found this place on door dash and I am very happy! Really good shrimp, plantain, kale and Mac n cheese. Only teeny tiny complaint is the website said Diet Coke and I got caffeine free Diet Pepsi. No problem today, but sometimes I really want the caffeine more than the soda. I don’t drink coffee, so on sleepy days I want caffeine from soda.

Just had the barbecue fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and cabbage. Honestly some of the best home cooked food that I’ve ever had an in Binghamton area To have come from an establishment. Hats off to his brother keep up the good work 💪🏽

To my hungry truck driving family parked at the nearby Love's in Kirkland N.Y., when you come thru Binghamton N.Y. and want some amazing food, this is where you need to eat or get delivery from. I had the fried fish, mac & cheese, string beans, rice & peas. The meal was flavorful and portion was beyond my stomach's capacity to finish in one sitting. The fresh made juice washed everything down with ever sip of "ahh." Bean pie for dessert ended my meal with a sweet treat. The service was friendly and professional as my meal was freshly prepared. Lastly, the vibe of the seating area, gave an atmosphere of family dining and afrocentric harmony. Only 15 minutes away from laying up for the night at Love's, the owner mentioned that deliveries or Grub Hub orders will arrive quickly.

we got the vegan lentil burgers and they were sooo good! Dirty rice, plantains, steak fries, and mac and cheese as well—all delicious! 100% if you’re vegetarian or vegan you must try the lentil burger

THE BEST friend bbq chicken I’ve ever had! Everything tasted homemade and authentic. So much better than any of the chain restaurants around here.

This is definitely the spot to get some home-cooked food!! Everything from the barcued fried chicken, fried fish, stewed chicken, kale, potato salad, macaroni & cheese, yams to the breakfast and lunch items will delight and satisfy all!
