Deerhead Restaurant & Bar

The wife and I went for a wine and food pairing. The wine was Heron Hill and the food was not off the Deerhead's usual menu. Both were excellent. (Not to say the regular menu isn't yummy also) Definitely a restaurant I would like to frequent more often.

The wife and I have been going to brunch at the Deerhead every Sunday for weeks now. We only have 2 more items to try on the menu. It's been great fun with our server Amanda, being 'regular' customers for a month or so. The menu is really good with all the selections being delicious and well put together. It feels good patronising the Deerhead, because it is one of the best local restaurants. Or maybe it's just the Mimosas talking, which are pretty strong, thank you very much.

I ordered the Parm Crusted Chicken. 😋 It was probably the best dinner I've ever had there. The roasted vegetables were seasoned perfectly, had so much flavor. Will definitely be going back again. 👍

Went there from Delago Casino. The drive was a nice short drive. We started out with crab cakes and let me tell you they were great. The salad bar was fresh and their potatoes salad and macaroni salad I loved, as the salad bar was a nice selection on board too. The prime rib we also had for our main course as was very very good. If you like a bloody Mary is a must have too. Our server was great and the whole experience was worth the drive and were gonna be back with our family in our bus from the buffalo area again. We had a great experience.

My husband and I called in a 7pm reservation at 5:30pm on a Friday night with no problem. We were given a fantastic table right next to the window with a view of Cayuga Lake. Service was some of the best I've ever had, with prompt drinks, appetizer, and entrees all given with a smile. Our waitress took the time to explain the specials without just zipping through them, which I appreciate. We had the pork belly Cuban sandwich which was fantastic. Would be happy to return.

This restaurant and bar has the most beautiful view of Lake Cayuga. The owners really put a lot of thought and effort into the food and drink offerings. We had a wonderful time at a food and wine pairing with a few friends and couples from work last night. 5 courses were served, each with a different glass of wine from Hosmer. The food was delicious, the venue couldn’t be beat, and the staff very professional. Thanks for a great evening!

Came here for memorial day dinner and it was perfect! Lovely view by the lake, very friendly staff. The food was light and flavorful, just what we were looking for! Definitely recommend if you want to have a good meal without feeling stuffed.

Our passion is lakeside dining. When Deerhead restaurant was recommended to us we were slightly reserved. Big mistake! When we arrived the lakeview was gorgeous! The service was excellent and the menu tasty and varied. I had the shaved prime rib sandwich and we can't wait for the opportunity to return!

We saw this restaurant had good reviews, so after a day of wineries and driving from place to place, we stopped here to eat. The waitress, Heidi, was very welcoming. We were seated and began looking at the menu. Maybe we were tired from the day, but nothing on the menu really moved us. Heidi went out of her way to find out what we were hesitant about and spoke with the chef. The chef and Heidi altered the menu to accommodate us. The meal was excellent and Heid was awesome!

We had a great dinner on our last night in the finger lakes and Felicity was an amazing server! She made sure we were happy with our food- which was delicious and even though there were a few menu items that weren’t available - they more than made it up to us! We will definitely be coming back!

My food is always delicious, I love the grilled chicken wings, Best in town! We hope to see our favorite server amber there, she always has a smile on her face, very polite and very helpful!

I'd love to add to this review since I had the most fantastic experience at the deer head this past December when I took my infant daughter in for brunch with Santa! Our server Amber was there and she was so patient with me and my daughter! We had a blast with Santa, and amber took lots of beautiful pictures for me to capture not only my daughters first time seeing Santa but her first time in a restaurant period.
I really enjoyed my meal as always!
I'll be taking my girl back again to visit miss Amber and the deer head crew!

My boyfriend and I stayed at an air bnb across the street that had their menu on display so we thought we would check it out, and are so glad we did! Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. I even had annoyingly changed my mind and asked to be reseated at the bar right after we were seated in the dining room and the waitress was so nice and understanding about it. It was a rainy Thursday night when we went and the atmosphere there was cozy and welcoming. Every one from the owner to the staff to the patrons were all so friendly and gave us a good list of places to check out during our stay here.

The food was incredible. I stuck with a regular burger which was fantastic, and they have the battered fries which are inarguably the best type of fries a restaurant can have so that was an added bonus.

My boyfriend got the ribs which were on special and they were probably the best ribs either of us have eaten. If they have them when you are there - get them!! They literally fell off the bone (a lot of other places say theirs do but at Deerhead they actually did) and the bbq sauce on them was the perfect compliment.

Drank a great local IPA during our meal and it was absolute perfection! Will absolutely come back next time we are here.

I don’t normally post reviews about restaurants, but the experience that I had at Deerhead was exceptional! The food was prepared perfectly & delicious! The service was excellent! The location isn’t bad either ;) If you get a chance to stop in to this restaurant, I’m sure your experience will be as good as ours was. We tried one of the wine pairing meals and found that to be delightful!

Excellent! Great food , a varied menu with lots of options. Everyone in my group got something different and they all loved it. Friendly staff, timely service. And I highly recommend leaving room for some over the top dessert.

We loved this place SO MUCH! Our new go to when traveling theu NY. Loved the salad bar, the eggplant stacks were delicious! Best broccoli soup I've had in years!

Enjoyed several meals at the Deerhead this past week while vacationing at a cottage on Cayuga Lake. One night I had the most delicious NY Strip Steak cooked to PERFECTION!!! The side of Rice Pilaf was very tasty. For dessert I enjoyed wonderful light cake with real whipped cream & fresh blueberries......UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
On another day, I ordered the Chicken Cipolla and was thoroughly pleased with the tastings of the dish. I also included the salad bar that had a vast variety of items and enhanced my meal!!! I topped the meal off with a DELIGHTFUL Lemon Blackberry Mojito....oh, so Good!!! We also enjoyed a less formal evening & stopped in for their steamed clams, chicken wings & cocktails!! The family was not disappointed once again!! We will return to the Deerhead again as the Food & Service was wonderful along with Fair prices!!

Had an amazing meal with family and friends for a lunch recently. Waitstaff was courteous and prompt, the food was absolutely delicious and you can't beat the view of the lake. This is a true gem in the area and I highly recommend it!

The Deerhead Team accommodated us last minute for the mother days buffet. The atmosphere was lively and energetic. The buffet spread had the perfect options, but the carving stations were particularly awesome. The staff was friendly and on point, you really get a sense of pride in what they do. Deerhead brunches are the best in the fingerlakes region.

Our server was Lin! She was very sweet and helpful with answering questions about the menu. Even though the Deerhead has only been open for a few weeks, they have things running smoothly. The italian dishes are top notch, as well as, served with suprising swiftness even on a busy evening. The salad bar even has a plethora of fresh ingredients to choose from. 5 stars, will be returning another night this week.
