Called regarding citrus trees along 10e @ California exit and my concern over the advancement of the Asian citrus psylid. Parks mgr kindly answered my questions, explaining the city's decision to preserve the citrus heritage.

Streets have been torn up for 5 days and is a health hazard. Please put some asphalt on the torn roads. SUFFRAGE. ORANGE STREET.

Redlands is a great city to live in, schools are 1st rate and the people are wonderful but I would NOT open a business here again.
In my opinion, they say all the right things then do what they want without consideration on how it impacts local merchants. Removing loading zones without alternatives in place. Creating emergency exits that lead into padlocked alleys then ignoring concerns expressed by the impacted business stating "It will also be a priority for responding emergency resources to unlock the gates" so your trapped in the alley until someone shows up with a key....Frankly this scares me.(I have the email from a city official if anyone doubts this) it is for these reasons I give the city this low mark.
