A beautiful family-run lakeside property known for their incredible lobster, seafood, prime rib eat-all-you-can buffet with amazing desserts. Open from mid-April to mid-December and closed for winter.

This was a nice less than 3 hr. drive from New York City, we chose Mystic CT as our spot for the weekend and it was a 40 min. drive to Charlestown, RI. Immaculate property, huge parking spot, the warmest staff! We've fasted at least 24 hours before we went here thinking I could eat more lobsters but I only had 4! Strategically enjoyed just all the seafood and prime rib to stay low carb but couldn't resist having a coffee shake for dessert! For $135 per adult with maximum dining time of 2 hrs., I'd say it was absolutely worth it, especially when you're celebrating special events! We hope to come back and try the rest next time! :) More on my profile!

It was absolutely AMAZING to me how pleasant & professional the staff was considering how many people they were serving!!! It was my very first time there and Gavin was my waiter. His family has worked there over 40 years and no doubt the magic has been passed down to him because he was phenomenal. The food was extremely delicious from my steak to my baked potato, my fruit that was so fresh and my desserts were delectable!!! I especially loved my slice of caramel cheesecake!! I know they are very well known for their seafood, but since I'm allergic I can let u know that they have plenty of other delicious options for EVERYONE!

I recently came here to celebrate my engagement and I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of the food and selection 🥰. This is a great special occasion place . Plenty of variety and options of food. The service was also exceptional as well they take care of everything while you get up for your next round. I personally love buffets and there were plenty of my favorite things to eat. I had 3 rounds of food and a dessert round.

Food: Loved the lobsters they, I believe they are steamed and were sweet and yummy they don’t even need butter. They also had snow crab legs and corn and prime rib. Also they had these lobster fritters and they were amazing. There was a great variety of hot foods as well. The raw oysters and clams were sweet and great as well and they had all the fixings for the raw bar. The dessert bar was also great the Hagaan Daz selection was great and all the ice cream fixings/fruits were great as well.

Service/atmosphere: My server was so nice we told her we were celebrating an engagement and we got strawberries in our wine and she gladly took pics and explained to us how the buffet worked. They also waited for us to finish before the packed up. The servers were also smiling and friendly as they served and explained the foods. Overall great time. Also you don’t need to dress up super fancy , clean and casual is fine. (Especially as you get into breaking lobsters and crab legs)

bonus: At the end of the night we were not rushed at all. Peaceful area as well. Overall great friendly service and time. Definitely a great once a year special dinner thing. Also I would recommend to come in the summer when the sunsets at 8pm so you can enjoy the grounds some more. In December when the sun sets at 430 all we see is the lights within the darkness and fire pit.

Was very excited to come to this place! Read all the reviews, good and bad. Decided it was worth the visit. No exaggerations! All the food was good! The lobsters were perfect! The prime rib was perfect! The steamed shrimp were large, uniform and perfect! Fried shrimp were lightly battered and good sized! Different salads were all tasty. Our server was excellent! Very nice, cordial and helpful. She kept an eye on our table and removed plates quickly! Oysters were fresh and good! Crab legs were excellent! They weren't stringy, skinny or overly salted like you find at other AYCE places. I wish they had fried clams! I was also disappointed to find they didn't have king crab legs as shown in many photographs all over the place. Was it worth the price? I'd say yes! This is a big operation and I'm sure good quality food is top dollar! We will visit again next year and my vote is for fried clams! I just know they won't be the frozen kind! I avoided the desserts but it hurt me to walk away from them! Delicious and decadent! The photo's are a small sampling of the different foods they offer. They don't do the food justice!

UPDATE: I will be going to Rhode Island in August and once they start accepting reservations I'm making one. I forgot to mention I ordered a mimosa and it was like the food just perfect! Please add fried clams to the menu!

Very good experience, glad I made the trip! The wait time to eat did not end up to be nearly as long as I was told and I was thoroughly entertained while I was waiting! I grabbed a mudslide from the bar and wandered outside to their beautiful grounds where there were farm animals, fire pits, plenty of benches and tables, hammocks, corn hole games, a live band, outside bar service and beautiful landscaping. The assortment of food was amazing! Lobster, king crab legs, rib eye, scallops, clams on the half shell, seafood salads, corn on the cob, many desserts, fresh fruits, appetizers, lobster bisque and so much more! The service was excellent! Always there to help and clear your plate so you can go back up to the buffet line. You have 2 hours to eat. That’s plenty of time and non- alcoholic drinks are included. Overall great experience! If you found my comments and pictures helpful please give me a like! Thank you for reading!

A bit smaller than I imagined but still quite the experience! Everyone was kind, polite and helpful. Food choices were like letting a child have free range in a candy store, soooo many choices. The place was clean and the service was excellent. I waited 30 years to get there and it was well worth the wait.

This place is amazing. The food was phenomenal! Nikki our server was all around great.
It's not just your typical buffet ...
The grounds are beautiful and inviting. There is a pond with a fountain in the middle and hammocks to relax on while enjoying the view, a huge fire pit, benches and rocking chairs, there's also Cornhole and some farm animals, the list goes on...
Yes it is pricey but totally worth it for the overall experience.
It was also with the drive that took almost 2 hours. Will definitely be going back😁

An absolute amazing gem hidden in Rhode Island.
My son and I had the opportunity to travel to Providence area for a hockey tournament and decided to check out the Nordic for its all you can eat buffet. Suffice to say we were not displeased.
The drive out was about 45 min and took us through some lovely areas. The grounds at Nordic are beautiful and well kept.
After paying the entry fee we were seated and shown the most glorious feast. There was lobster, crab, fillet and a host of other items to include bacon wrapped scallops.
Our server, Dave, was amazing! Offering tips and tricks for us to maximize our experience while dining. There is a 2 hour limit once you are seated so keep that in mind.
I would certainly recommend the Nordic to anyone looking for an all you can eat authentic New England Seafood experience.

Beautiful place went there with my friend for their birthday. We came from Ny, Ny. It's $135 as of June 2023, including 10%, that is split between server and support staff. With that being said, we still tipped our server. They are on top of their service at this place. So, just a suggestion: leave a tip it goes directly to your server. 10% isn't a lot when it's split between multiple people. The view is beautiful, and the animals are adorable. When we finished we caught the entertainment. There's lounge chairs and hammocks!! We will be back!! Everyone was very welcoming and so friendly. Beautiful experience we didn't want to leave.

It was a rainy day but they even prepared for that with the huge roof over the entrance. Big enough for dozens of people to look at the alpacas, sheep and horse grazing there. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. (thanks Andrea) The selection was out of this world so pace yourself. You don't want to get full an hour into your 2 hour limited stay. But hey, you can go look at the animals, sit by the fire for a while or walk the huge grounds then go back in and stuff yourself for the ride home. Speaking of rides, we drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there and it was worth it. Spent more than I wanted to but hey, I'd do it again.

The Nordic is a hidden gem! If you love Seafood this is the place to be. The doors open at 4. You will pay and then u can go to the bar or hang around until 5. I suggest getting there early because it gets crowded quick. The lobster fresh. The lobster bisque was amazing. I didn't care to much for the lobster Mac and cheese. The salmon had like a grilled mesquite taste which was really good. The dessert bar had so many options. The scenery is really nice. You can sit either by the food or by the windows in the front. I would suggest the windows. No one really sits over there. Also Stacey was phenomenal with serving us. Next time I am in Rhode Island I will stop in again.

This was our 2nd visit to The Nordic and we had an even better experience than our first time. The price may seem steep, but with the variety of food, quality of food, unlimited lobster, filet mignon, snow crab, and prime rib...one plate with each of those more than balances the cost and you haven't even explored the rest of the buffet.

Explore the grounds before and after, you won't be disappointed. It's just a fun place with a great variety of food you'll be hard pressed to find in one single location somewhere else.

What can I say, it was well worth the trip. I was skeptical because of the price but it was worth the $$$. Great service from beginning to the end. I will be back again. Also a shout-out to our server Pistol Pete.

Great place to eat but, you have to pace yourself. All you can eat buffet but, there is a time limit of 2 hours. There are two parking lots, one that is close to the entrance and another one which is in walking distance. Great food and great staff, Josh was my waiter and he did a terrific job. The buffet costs $125 but, it is well worth the price.

So I have been waiting like 15 years to eat here! It did not disappoint! Let’s break this down in to sub groups:

Food - it’s an all you can eat buffet, so that means it is cooked for the masses, but it did still have some flavor, so I was happy! It beat my expectations on flavor! Now was it like the most seasoned, no and I am from Louisiana, so I always lower my expectations before eating anywhere. I was not disappointed!

Service - TOP Notch! Our service and server was on point! She never flinched! Always making sure we were happy and well taken care of! She made it that much better!

Atmosphere- it was cool pulling up! The fires and rural setting made it like an experience outside of the modern day world, which then brings me to the decor on the inside. It wouldn’t hurt to spruce it up a little. I mean, you are paying $135 per person, oh and trust me, I feel like it was a good deal, I don’t think it was over priced, but it also means that you have priced out some folks, so dressing the inside up nicer than a Wester Sizzlin would be nice.

I would recommend anyone who likes Lobster to try this out! My son, who eats nothing, ate a whole lobster! Which I was very impressed with him! We all had a great time! We all ate too much! We all have memories that we will always remember and cherish! 10/10 would recommend!

First time at this fabulous restaurant! My son had been there in August and was over the moon with this place that he couldn’t wait to take us. So many choices of food and everything super delicious looking. I stuck mostly with seafood and then the delicious desserts. Amanda, our server was so nice and constantly made sure our table was taken care of. All the staff, including the manager and the young lady at the little shop were extremely friendly and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and hope to return soon.

Great food and atmosphere. Played Corn hole and volleyball, looked at the animals, and had a few drinks before our reservation, while listening to a live guitarist. Upon entering the venue to eat, we had a shellfish allergy in our party and they assigned us an allergy specialist and made him special food (fried chicken finger and fries- he’s 10). Lines went quickly, the server was readily available and cleared plates immediately. After the meal, we proceeded back outside and spent time on the hammocks and by the fire pit. Overall, a great day to spend with family and friends!
