Our physicians assistant was amazing! She truly listened to me and my 5 y/o’s needs and concerns. She was thorough in her assessment and provided care based on her findings and my concerns. I can say 100% that our family was able to have a much needed nights sleep because of her interventions and the quality care she provided. This is the first time going to this urgent care (we’ve been a handful of times) that we’ve received the quality of care we did with Donna I Centeno PA. I am a nurse, but more importantly a mom who needed care for my sick child and Donna gave me and my little guy that. I appreciate her not only from a parenting perspective but more from a medical professional perspective. Please give kudos to her! And give her this feedback because it’s important for her to see that the care she’s providing is going above and beyond and very much appreciated and because sometimes as medical providers we don’t get the recognition we deserve.

I like going to Beaver Medical Group in Highland, It is a very nice clinic. It’s not crowded, it’s very clean and has comfortable waiting rooms. My Doctor is Dr Furiton at Beaver Medical Group in Highland. She is an internist which means she has had more training than a regular doctor. She’s very thorough, she’s a great Doctor.

***Update 2:

I visited Optum in Highland, CA last Thursday on 2/22 for an Initial visit with my Neurologist. He was very knowledgeable in his field. He was concerned with my reoccurring headaches, seizures, and blood clots. He ordered two tests to check my brain. He also changed my medication for my seizures—as the medication I was prescribed was giving me severe side effects.

On 2.26.24 , I had a wonderful visit with my PCP—I have known her since I was 19 (I am now 30). I was scheduled to see her after recently having multiple seizures and blood clots to the brain. We discussed huge improvements to my health once old psychiatric medications/health meds were taken off my medication list.

—> Side note: My psychiatrist is wonderful—she works for Hemisphere Health. She has found that I was misdiagnosed—thus my medication list is finally where it should be after many years.

When at UCLA Harbor ER, I was taken off of Levothyroxine,Escitalopram, Insulin, & my Metformin was lowered by 1/2.

After my PCP visit, I went downstairs to do labs. All I can say is WOW! I was greeted by the phlebotomists with so much love. They stopped by to say hello with bright smiles. It made me feel so loved!

** Huge Update: Optum has changed a lot since my last review. The faculties appear to be more understanding of their patients and take the time to listen to their concerns. If a provider is unsure of the answer, they will tell the patient (myself included) that they are not sure. I highly respect this—it shows great character and leadership to guide a patient in the process and direction and to the right clinician. I am very confident that Optum will continue to make positive changes and I am happy that they are making good progress in doing so. With that being said, I have found that my preferred location for Urgent Care is the Redlands, Ca facility as the Highland,Ca facility does open late and they seem to be less patient with the customers. However, I haven’t visited the Urgent Care in Highland,Ca for a while because of the poor quality of health care I received. Perhaps there has been some improvement—however, I am very content with the Redlands site and would prefer to continue to go to that facility. ****

Here’s the thing. Beaver medical now Optum has went from good to terrible. The orthopedics department isn’t good at all —at either location in highland or Redlands. They do not take the time to see you. You end up spending more time waiting than seeing the actual doctor. The most recent doctor I saw didn’t do anything at all and ignored every question and said use Motrin. As if I should put a bandaid rather than address the issue. I have had 3 orthopedics and they all failed me. I also had a neurologist tell me it’s all in my head and that if I don’t think I have pain I won’t… I mean if I have a heart attack do I wait for the pain to possibly subside or think i have 9 lives? Or that I need to be told psychology terms because I graduated in the field of psychology.. this is nonsense. Should I ignore my medical concerns and wait until they get worse, instead of acting early and try to help myself? Sure seems like it at these medical faculties. I read the notes on MyChart and half of what they wrote was not correct and never happened. They focus more on their personal opinions than helping the patient. I have a few specialty doctors in other departments that are amazing such as obgyn and endocrinology. I like my primary doctor but sometimes I have to push my medical concerns to get answers that are not a guess but an understanding of my conditions. Urgent care is a nightmare because nothing is really achieved when going except for wasted time, money, and energy. I have seen this company at its finest and now it has crumbled. While there are good doctors here, I am horrified by the way others have treated my concerns. If I am going to see a doctor I want to ensure that they will take the time to help me and not try to make up something about why I’m not hurting enough etc.

A lot of people on here are complaining about wait time/bad attitudes from staff. Here’s where I rate five stars. A knowledgeable staff, trained and educated to do their jobs. Ordering the proper tests as needed and not quick to shove medication into a patient before knowing exactly what is needed if anything. I would rather have a educated doctor/nurse who is going to do the right thing in a need of urgency then to have the best bedside manner and not thorough. I agree you can have both and when a patient is urgent they require a positive attitude from staff but again being thorough and precise is what I want from my medical staff. Thank you Beaver Medical Group Staff for all you do and putting your patients safety and health first.

I've been going to this office for a couple of years now. The urgent care has been extremely quick , even with Covid. Never had to wait for more than 15 minutes.
Their main office is nice too! Everyone is very friendly and accomodating.
I especially would like to mention Madeline Jewell, PA - I've been seen by her a few times now. She is extremely attentive, very positive and professional! My concerns are addressed 100% of the time, and I feel comfortable to bring anything up. Because of this, I am anxiety free for the first time in a while.
She always goes an extra step when she examines you as well, making sure that nothing goes unnoticed. I appreciate the help and the care very much!

I’ve always been treated well and felt so much better after each visit. This is my go to place when I have an urgent need to see a doctor and can’t get in to my primary doctor or it’s on weekends or after hours. Everyone has always been nice and I’ve always been told, “I hope you feel better.” As far as cost, it beats going to Emergency, hands down. Thank you for your caring service! I recommend this place to everyone that asks where I go.

Went to the Highland office of Beaver to their Gastroenerolgy group for a colonoscopy. Check in was quick and simple. Beaver always seem very well organized with all the “paperwork” in order. The staff were very friendly, courteous , & efficient. I have had 2 other colonoscopies in the past by different facilities & Doctors, and this one was by far the most comfortable. I also liked the post-op report and discharge instructions that included the findings along with labeled photographs and numbered key as to the location in the large intestine. Thank you Eric, Daisy, Maria, Angie, Gloria, & Dr. Frank Lee!

We love seeing Dr. Swant for me son. She has been the very best pediatrician we could ask for and we are super sad to see her go. We are comforted by the fact that her nurses will continue to be our nurses as we transition to our new pediatrician.

The five star rating is given for Beaver's Urgent Care Clinic and it's Staff's job performance on 4-24-15 @ approx 1830-1930. My Wife was very ill and I'm used to going to our usual doctor (HMO), but we're not covered at this time. I had a few questions, mostly about how much it would cost...
The front office person (Cary-Ann, I believe) answered all my questions. I paid Beaver USD $92.00 (plus $60.00 for the meds from our pharmacy) and my Wife was in and out within about an hour. I feel this was due to Beaver Staff's flexibility. For instance, Cary-Ann's coworker at the front desk went and got my Wife a specimen cup when she saw my Wife was going to the restroom. To me, this implies quite a bit of initiative taken by this employee. Rare.
The nurse who did my Wife's vital signs was competent and polite.
The physician was very professional and seemed to REALLY know what he was talking about. He was friendly, as well.
I wish I could remember all their names.
My Wife is happy.
Would walk in Beaver Urgent Care again with my Wife, no insurance, and a debit card. 10/10

My wife worked at Loma Linda University for 25 years. I had risk management. I could go to all the doctors in Loma Linda and around. I would sometimes weight as much as 2 hours. My health care was excellent. With that said...Now I have a different insurance sense we are long retired. I had Beaver Medical insurance years ago and like it. I knew my doctor for years before I went. Now I am back and Beaver Medical and I love it. It is closer to me in Redlands. I chose a Doctor at the Highland branch. The parking was a problem at Redlands which has long been solved. The Lab in Highland is faster and not as crowded. I have been sick all my life with more things than you can shake a stick at. I love the Urgent care. If you know the times when few people will be there it is even better. They have a lot of in house testing and I have never had to weight more than 10 minuets for any of them. I have had some longs stays in the hospital. 9 just in the last 20 years. They use Redlands Community hospital and the emergency room is the pits but they building and going to change it. I do get excellent care at Redlands hospital and the weighting time is much shorter than Loma Linda or Arrowhead. I read reviews by people that don't know English grammar and they crack me up. Some you can't believe No mater what location the staff are efficient, polite and fun to joke with. Glad I have Beaver Medical in my old age. The care is excellent all the way around. If you aren't cured you ain;t got what ails ya. LOL I live there. Be well.

I couldn't have been more blessed then when I had Beaver Medical as my primary medical. I had many extensive issues that required several different departments and every one of them were nothing short of amazing. I had 2 of my kids under Beavers care then in 1999 I was diagnosed with a rare tumor in my bone. Dr. Lee called me up on a Friday night to inform me of concerns I was immediately sent to Dr. McIvor for treatment and he is an absolute God-Send and Angel. He referred me out immediately to UCLA for all my procedures due to the rarity of my tumor. I followed up at least every 3 months for over 5 years with them and ALWAYS recieved the best care I could ever ask for. I felt often like I was a family member of theirs with as much care and concern they always displayed with me. I always looked forward to seeing Terri's Cheerful Face when I had to do any bloodwork and I loved how they monitored me and my son so closely when we found out I was pregnant after not knowing and going thru another one of my surgeries from my tumor. I dont think I would have recieved the care and concern from any other Medical Group in all my life as i did with Beaver. I miss having them today as my Primary Doctors. Thank You Beaver You All Are Awesome!!!

We have been with Beaver Medical for quite some time. The wait time differs according to the specific day and time, but they are good for the most part. Insurance protocols make it difficult for patients to bear the wait time, but Meaver Medical does pretty good regardless

A lot of people on here are complaining about the wait times and I have also waited awhile before here, but I learned that you have to go in early. If you go in early, even on a weekend, you can be in and out in an hour. The staff and doctors are always helpful. Sometimes the doctors only see you for 20 minutes if that, but hey they get the job done in a timely fashion, so no complaints here!

I have had nothing but good experiences at the Urgent Care. Wait time has been nominal..staff has been very professional and caring and treatment was appropriate for what an urgent care doctor can do which is treat the immediate issue and tell you to follow-up with your primary. This care has been demonstrated with 2 granddaughters..ages 7 yrs and 15 months and myself. Drs. Bennet and Sayegh (sp?) are excellent.
