Arapahoe Cafe & Pub

Cute picturesque restaurant at the top of the hill in downtown Dylan overlooking the entire Dillon Lake. They have a really sweet outdoor deck in the parking lot that gives perfect alfresco dining options!

We stop by this past weekend on our way to Vail for brunch. This place was recommended by our airbnb owner. Though they were super busy we were quickly seated . The ambiance for outside seating was pleasant. The food was delicious and I would recommend the granola flapjack and garden skillet.

We were in Dillon staying at the Best Western hotel for my daughters wedding in Silverthorne. Arapahoe Cafe and Pub was next door to our hotel. We had dinner out on the patio Saturday night. Beautiful patio with lots of flowers and humming birds flying around. Service was fast and friendly. I had a bison burger and salad my wife had the veggie quesadilla. Both very good. Next time we're in the area, we'll try breakfast.

Love this place!!!! Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. All the food is excellent. They don’t take reservations and don’t do take out if the kitchen is too busy. I like that all the salt and pepper shakers are different matching animals. The wait staff is always nice and friendly. Haven’t had a bad meal yet and probably have had everything on the menu at this point. Highly recommend. Don’t let the wait stop you from eating here. Some of the best food in Dillon, Silverthorne & Frisco area!

The delicious breakfast was worth the wait. We went on a Saturday morning so expected a wait to be seated. Mountains and water surround this quaint little cafe, offering beautiful views. We at outside on their patio on a beautiful sunny day in July. My trout with eggs was awesome. Our server was very friendly and attentive with helpful suggestions on menu items. Well worth the stop if you are in the area.

**UPDATE** The Arapahoe will be closing for good on October 15th. It's unfortunate that hotel developers will be changing the charm and the appeal of the Dillon marina area. This place was a really cool local hang out, a destination for tourists, and a wonderful example of the local history. It will be missed.

*Original post *Great cafe for breakfast. We were able to get a table outside on the deck which worked out great since my friend had her dog with her. Roscoe was super happy! They even had dog bowls with water around the patio for all of the fur patrons. The food was really good! Large portions of deliciousness! Oh, and the Bloody Mary's are a meal in themselves. Yummy! Check out the indoor portion of the restaurant while you're there. The building is a Summit historic cabin with a very interesting story. Just ask any of the employees, they'll fill you in. Enjoy!

Great family restaurant with reasonable prices and big portions. Food is fresh, delicious, home-made and at the right temperature. There is indoor and outdoor patio seating with a nice view of the lake. Server was attentive and polite. Would recommend for anyone visiting.

The service was top notch, from the host to the server. We ordered the Bison Burger with fries, and the Full Stack Award Winning BBQ with a side of beans, as the host said the Bison Burger was most popular, and her personal fav was the BBQ. Everything was DELICIOUS.
The Bison Burger was full of flavor and perfectly cooked: has carmelized onions, cheddar, lettuce and tomato. The Award Winning BBQ is truly Award Winning, so flavorful even without BBQ sauce. The spicy BBQ they offer made it that much better though. The sides were great, I almost skipped the fries but glad I didn’t - they were hot, soft in the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside.
Dining in experience was perfect. It was very intimate. They also offer outside seating, with a beautiful Mountain View, and seating in their Pub (downstairs).
Great dining experience overall, not only was all the food AMAZING but the staff was kind, bubbly, and attentive. Would definitely eat there again when in Dillon.

Really enjoyed this place. Had the Philly cheese steak. Honestly it wasn't anything extra but the steak was sliced thin, the steak and onions were cooked perfectly, the bun was fresh and tasty, and paired well with the white american cheese. The Sawtooth ale was fantastic. The staff was friendly and quick to provide service. Highly recommended.

This place was fantastic for breakfast lunch and dinners!

we were in town for concerts at the amphitheater next to the restaurant. we started there for a light dinner of wings and salad. the wings were perfectly sized and seasoned. even the blue cheese dressing for the wings was above expectations! the salads were perfect portions and the salad wasn't swimming in dressing like most restaurants do when you forget to ask for it on the side.

the next morning we went back for breakfast and was not disappointed. I had the BAT (bacon, avocado, tomatoe) omelet which was pretty good and filling enough to last the day. the wife got trout and eggs to which she was super happy with the portions and flavors.

the next morning we went back for the 2nd options we missed the first day. i couldn't get enough of the biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs, and I almost cleaned the plate even though I was full, the taste was so damn good!

when we get the chance to come back to Dillon (and this restaurant is a pretty good reason), we will definitely be stopping here again.

As we walked in, we were greeted by a t shirt they had for sale that read 'cant drink all day if u dont start in the morning' - which inspired us to order white russians. They were so good!! I got the garbage plate && my wife got the chicks & wafs both were absolutely delicious (the garbage plate is quite a haul, be hungry if you order that!) Would definitely recommend stopping in here!

Ate here this morning. Was initially drawn by the description of their in house slow cooked corned beef in their hash. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The hash was delicious and the corned beef was easily the star of the show. you can really tell the difference when it's done in house. The sausage gravy was also quite good! My wife said her grits weren't cheesy enough, but we're from the south, so the bar is high.

The service was also excellent, even though they were pretty slammed and low on staff.

I definitely want to go back the next time I'm in the area to try the chicken and waffles and the blueberry granola pancakes!

A must stop for breakfast needs. The place is very warm and inviting. The service was exceptional. The food was very good and featured large servings for the price. I would recommend if you are looking at getting fuel for the slopes!

This was a great stop. The food was great and the view of the lake was awesome. We had the pulled pork, the Ruban and the brisket mac and cheese. All we good. Will definitely be back hungry for more.

Soon as we sat down waiter came over to take our drink orders. The drinks came back very quick. You can put in some special requests for your burger and they have no problem. Our waiter was very nice. Food was great to, same with the prices. On our night, Wednesday, the special was any burger for 12$. And to mention it was moderately crowded with food service.

The wait for a table was a bit long, but the service was so friendly. We had a table outside, but it started to rain. The employees, however, were quick to move the outdoor costumers inside. They quickly adapted since the people outside were moved to the downstairs area that is only used at night. The food was delicious. I will have to visit here again sometime during my vacation.

I(we) have never had a bad meal at the Arapahoe Cafe. The staff is very friendly, cheerful and attentive. The atmosphere is a very welcoming cozy Mountain town atmosphere.

I have had Reuben's Reuben, Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich, Winning House Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs and Jake's Beef Brisket Sandwich(picture). As a Pit Master in my own rights, the owner has his smoking techniques down to a science. They have two types of BBQ Sauces served on the side, one regular and the other with a mild kick.

I got an appetizer of Fried Pickle Chips(picture), Breaded and fried to protection, love them. They come with ranch dressing, but both the BBQ Sauces are just as good to go with them.

One thing food for thought is maybe adding Fried Green Tomatoes to the appetizer menu, maybe as a combo.

We have yet to visit the bar down below and they have excellent dining music to my taste.

This restaurant does have some history and I hope it continues long into the future. I would work at this restaurant.

Great place! The atmosphere is very ski town Colorado. The staff was super friendly. Although, it did take quite a while to get out first round of drinks.

The food was very good though. We were there for breakfast. Yes, I know. But it goes with their saying "you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning" 😂 the chicken and waffles are good, although the chicken isn't anything special. The French toast is good and my wife got the bloody Mary and breakfast burrito and she really like it. The bloody Mary looked delicious, even for me and I don't like them.

I recommend this place.

As always it was busy at the cafe. Was told the wait would be 30 - 45 min. Had a table in 15 to 20. Opted for first available so sat inside. The staff was great friendly and fast. Don’t know how they keep smiling when tourists are such jerks. Had the Adams skillet. It was fabulous. Should have done scrabble eggs instead of fried. The Taos omelet is still my favorite. Could not believe how fast my food came out. Would not expect that every time as busy as this place is. Breanna was my waitress, watching her go on and out and keep a good attitude while avoiding people standing in the way was impressive.

A busy restaurant and pub with delicious food. Daily special price (only if you seated at the bar, it is tricky!) and we were there on Sunday with special price on burgers with one side.
