I am so glad we decided to stay at Hacienda del Sol! The room, which was more like a small house, was beautiful! The location was surprisingly quiet and had a beautiful mountain view. We had a private patio space. We ended up doing some take out meals just so we could spend some time on the patio. Breakfast was provided with great hospitality and good food. The owners clearly take pride in caring for this lovely oasis.

Awesome place! We’ve tried a couple of different hotels in the area and this one beats them all. The property is really pretty and has great amenites including quiet sitting areas, a great hot tub and a cozy common area. The room we stayed in was unique, quiet and clean. The breakfast which was included with the stay was also well done. Very tasty. It felt like there was a lot of thought put into all aspects of the hotel. We will be back for sure!

Rooms were great, beautiful, comfortable. They actually cooked breakfast for you, no charge. Just make sure if you want a tv in your room, double check with them. We had the Cowgirl room and there was no tv. Other than that i would definitely go back.

My husband and I just got back from a quick overnight stay at the Hacienda de Sol for my husband birthday. . We stayed in the Los Amantes room. The room was absolutely gorgeous. It had a fireplace, a steam shower, and a jacuzzi tub. The pictures on the website don't do this place justice. Linda was on site to ensure we had everything we needed. We can't wait to return! Don't miss out on this hidden gem!!!

I wish I could have stayed longer! I stayed for two nights and kept discovering new things to love about this place. The room was very warm and the floors were so clean. I love being barefoot so I appreciated that. The towels in the bathroom were XL/bath sheets (amazing for a big body), the water pressure was great and there were robes in the room. I discovered a book of poetry in place of a Bible and took it out on the room's patio with a throw blanket to read with a mug of coffee. There's a Keurig AND a kettle in the room and Rishi teas (so lush!). Also oak milk creamer and ice in the fridge. I was delighted to learn about the hot tub and I went exploring for the lounge area near the kitchen on my second night. I found the cutest living room space with books and games and yoga mats. Honestly, I was so impressed by this place I haven't stopped talking about it in the almost two weeks since. I would love to return!

Nice and spacious.
Clean.
Old historical buildings, 1802
Plenty of room for 5 of us.
Great shower and huge bath tub. Couldn't get jets to work....
Couldn't get the inlaid fire Stove to work, pilot light went out, tried many times to relight it... Still the rooms had Heat, the fire would have been nice though.
Breakfast was way too early, and finished too early. Not everyone wants breakfast by 9......
Friday's menu said breakfast tacos, it wasn't, it was tamales...
There was a hot tub, no idea where it was, we arrived at night in the dark, and there was a sign up sheet.....
Comfy king size bed, Keurig coffee machine with creams and sugar, that was nice.
Overall, it was good. Would return

Best hotel I ever stayed at. Room was clean cozy and comfortable. Stayed in Taos suite. Water pressure and temperature were amazing. Jacuzzi was perfect. The fire place was perfect. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. Would go back to Taos just to stay there again!

Beautiful clean rooms, nice breakfast, great location. We arrived at night and were so pleased with a mountain view outside of our French doors We loved our stay in the Rio Grande room and booked an extra night after arriving.

We have had the best stay. Everyone is so helpful and accommodating. They have the best and most fresh breakfast bar in the morning. 10/10 experience.

Magical place to stay in Taos. Arrived later in the evening and the hotel manager was so accommodating and helpful. I stayed in the Cowgirl room which has a beautiful morning view of the mountains. The room was very clean and thoughtfully-appointed and the grounds are idyllic and inviting. Yummy breakfast, too! Such a restful, pleasant place. Highly recommend!

Top to bottom this was a great experience. Stayed in Mabel Salon. Plenty of space and the bed was so comfortable, we decided to stay another night!

Great fresh breakfast and the fresh squeezed OJ was delicious.

Favorite part was sitting in back courtyard and listening to the magpies.

Jennifer made us feel extremely welcomed. She had a warm personality and made great recommendations for things to do in area.

Easy check in. All the info was sent to us prior. Rooms are very clean & bed is comfy. The only downside was that the shower drained slowly. The breakfast staff, Caesar and Jennifer, were delightful and served a delicious breakfast (fresh squeezed orange juice even!) The owners, Mike & Blaire, are very personable and helpful. Everyone we met takes pride in this cute inn.

Loved this historic B&B. Some of the buildings are over 200 years old. Great place to chill. The gardens are beautiful with views of Taos mountain. Our room did not have a TV, but who cares. The views and the "chill factor" was what made this place special to unwind.

And the breakfasts were fantastic. Choice of hot tamales and other hot and cold items daily. Owner and staff were extremely friendly.

Location is right next to the Taos Pueblo and minutes from the Taos Plaza. Excellent lunch and dinner options close by..... we had a great visit and plan to stay here again when in the Taos area.

My husband and I live in Santa Fe but enjoy traveling to Taos for a change of pace. The Hacienda del Sol is our favorite lodging option. We recently stayed in the Cowboy Suite and appreciated its spaciousness, fireplace, comfortable beds and linens, and excellent views of the interior grassy courtyard and of Taos Mountain. Each room has a different character, but you can definitely count on comfortable beds, hot showers, lots of towels, and some rooms have microwave ovens and/or small refrigerators. Additionally HDS offers a superb breakfast in the morning including an egg special cooked in real time by a chef, vegan tamales, fresh fruit, cereals, fresh baked goods and excellent coffee and tea service. The property is well-located, close to great restaurants (Love Apple is adjacent, Michael's just down the road), as well as Taos Plaza and Taos Pueblo. Checkin is seamless, with instructions texted and/or emailed in advance. This is a really special place to stay, and good value.

Very cute, cozy, romantic rooms with a spacious gorgeous backyard. The fireplace is adorable and super cozy. There's a hot tub in the back that can be reserved for certain times if you wanted privacy. The kitched area is really fun to walk through. There's a fireplace in there, silverware, glasses, mugs, and all else you might need for eating/cooking. The stove is blocked off.
Can't speak too highly of the service. The lady on the phone was okay, but not the friendliest and most efficient. Had to call a couple of times to get our fireplace working and receive another set of towels.

This is an awesome, homey place!
The owners, a husband and wife team are living their dream, moved from California and bought the inn.
It's like staying in your best friend's big beautiful house.
We stayed in the 'Cowgirl' suite, looking straight at the mountains.
Bed was brand new, huge, and pillows were perfect.
Breakfast was wonderful, casual-fancy!
Secluded only a block or two off the road, easy to find, close to everything.
Owners live on-site at the time of this review, constantly working, cleaning, and greeting.

After being let down by another hotel, we checked into Hacienda Del Sol after hours. I spoke to Eva on the phone and within 10 minutes we were in a spectacular self-contained house with its own private garden, bath tub, steam shower, and full kitchen. We loved the place so much that we stayed on an extra night. This will be the only place I stay in Taos from now on.

Great B&B in Taos NM. I loved the special touches such as providing fire wood for fireplace in my room. I would light it up every evening. Check in was simple and easy with detailed instructions provided by email. My favorite was the delicious made to order breakfast. Eggs cook to order with all the fixings. Top it off with fresh orange juice, coffee, or tea. One thing to note, there is no TV in my room but that was okay as streamed movies on my laptop. I highly recommend if in Taos.
