Food is great, decent prices, great atmosphere. Good service. The only thing that missed the mark was the server not clearing plates from the table making it kinda tight and cramped. Otherwise definitely worth the stop.

Friendly service. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Not too noisy, can have a conversation and visit with people while enjoying a great meal. Reasonable prices. Definitely a do again restaurant.
2nd visit- trout, pork stake, chocolate Death. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Crowded but could still have a conversation with my wife.

We are new to living in Vernal and slowly getting around to all the different restaurants in town. This is one I would go to again and had great food. Not only that the ambiance was very "Vernal". If you are a tourist visiting this is a great choice with options for everyone. They also have a fantastic souvenir shop that is better than the dinosaur museums or the heritage museum in town in my opinion. If you want a fun, nice, authentic Vernal dining experience I don't think you can find better in town.

Picked this restaurant because of the reviews. Hubby had 12 oz hamburger steak with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies. I had the trout and fries. Everything was delicious except the trout was dry. They offered to get me something else, and I declined. They took the fish off of my bill. Our meals came with a cup of soup (veggie was overflowing with veggies and cream chicken soup. The cream chicken couldn't be better. Highly recommend), salad, and scones (scones were hot and delicious).service was superb and the restaurant was very clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Prices were very reasonable

First off, the apple pie and scone didn’t even make it in the photos because they were inhaled.. that good! The Reuben sandwich with the fries and mushroom soup was also very good. I was in town visiting for work and wanted to experience something local.. I 100% recommend this place. Even the server, Hannah, was on time and very friendly. Will be coming back for sure and bringing my colleagues along.

Top quality meat and service. Huge portions. Food slightly bland (average for Utah!) but the quality meant it tasted good regardless. Beautiful place though we came at a quiet time.

Very cozy inside with beautiful Christmas decorations while we watched the snow through the large front window!! Atmosphere was happy and jolly. The food was good and reasonably priced! It was a very pleasant and comfortable late lunch!

We visit Vernal once a year and try to find new local places to eat and support small businesses. This was our first visit to 7-11, not to be confused with 7-eleven convenient stores. The setup is similar to a cracker barrel with a gift shop at the entrance and restaurant to the side. Service was friendly and food was served hot and promptly enough. I would eat here again. Scones are delicious and 2 for $2!

Went in on a Saturday night. This place is BUSY so just be prepared but it is well worth the wait. As it was only a party of two went my boyfriend and I went in we were seated within 5 minutes. The staff was SUPER nice and the food was AMAZING! It is very reasonably priced and tasted GREAT! The scones were nice and fresh too! The gift shop has some great suveniors and a variety of knick knacks! Great place to stop in while you are in town!

7 of us came to see the play across the street, and this was so convenient. We were seated promptly. The waitress was very patient to take our orders as there was so many delicious meals to choose from. I ordered the veal cutlets. ( haven't seen them on a menu for years.) So I had to order them. I was not disappointed. There was 2 nice size pieces with yellow and orange carrots cooked to perfection. I chose mashed potatoes and the potato soup as my sides. It was so good and filling that I actually had leftovers for lunch the next day. Every one else had anything from salad to burger, each meal was enjoyable. Out waitress was very attentive throughout the meal. The price was very affordable for each of us. The gift shop had jars of different flavored candies , to t-shirts with Dinosaurs. ( The area is known for Dinosaur bones found locally). Also candles, stuffed animal. The restrooms are located at the back of the gift shop. Each is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair easily.

The 7-11 pork burger was amazing. Made with their own house made sausage. I like to try this style of food knowing I can't get it anywhere else.
The jalapeño poppers appetizer was ok; Good but nothing special.

Breakfast - I tried thier country special 11oz (chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hash browns and scone) The gravy was unique and house made which i love but I was not a big fan of the flavor. The breading was seasoned well and crispy. Meat was also season well and was a good thickness.
Standard hash browns and eggs. The scone was really good and fluffy.

Lots of room, plenty of help. Abundant parking (in back) and a neat little gift shop. Food price was decent, plenty of it. We did not leave hungry! Photo is prime rib special.

Great hometown feel. Was made very welcome and was treated like a valued customer. Local meat and veggies. Cooked perfectly.
Update/ This is one of my favorite places since I came to town. Last night's steak dinner was disappointing. I know you can't get what you want 💯 % of the time. It must of meant the regular cook was on vacation. I ordered a ribeye and got a hard piece of sirloin. It was busy so I have to give some credit. I tried to tell two different ladies but I must have been taking in another language.

The food was so good! And the service was amazing. The chocolate death dessert was one of the best desserts we have had in a while! Loved it. Definitely would go back.

Our family stopped here on our road trip to Yellowstone from sunny California for a home cooked meal that reminded us of home and this was the ticket!! We were greeted by everyone and immediately served with a smile and bubbly demeanor. Our waitress was brand new and she was fantastic!! She had dark hair and great makeup. I wish I could remember her name but we didn’t write it down. I want to say it was Kristy. She’s a gem and is a great example of fantastic service. The apple nachos and scones are a MUST!!

Had the "Chef's Halibut Salad". It was a great salad. I'd have it again, but there were many other things that sounded delightful. The gift shop was a delight for my wife... 😉

We spent 2 days in Vernal. We stopped the first time for dinner and it was so good we never even looked for any place else in town to eat at. We came back the next day!
The fry bread is the best I have ever had!!

Wonderful place to eat. Great Native artifacts within to view while dining. Gift shop has some really nice tchotchke to take away as a souvenir or to take home and add to the decor of your home. Waitresses were efficient and pleasant. Cost was beneath value. 5 strong stars!

This restaurant made our day! After a hot afternoon of hiking near Vernal, we stopped here for dinner on a whim. I'm so glad we did. The food was great (my spouse had the blackened salmon and the seasoning on top was terrific, and we all enjoyed the "scones"), the service was good, the atmosphere was fun, and the prices were amazing. Seriously, I couldn't believe how affordable everything was, especially for a restaurant with a gift shop that might otherwise scream "tourist trap". Our kids enjoyed the bovine dino in front too.

Extremely polite and friendly staff. Food was excellent as well as service. Same as I remember from the 80s. Scones are a must, no matter what you are eating! This is an icon of Vernal, UT, so you gotta have at least 1 meal there. You will not be disappointed.
