Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency Hospital

We had to bring our cat Ruby in on this Christmas Eve for progressive lower back pain, lethargy, and not doing well. While it was obvious the hospital was very busy, all of the team members were calm, professional, caring, and very understanding. I couldn’t be more thankful for the time they gave our Ruby and the treatment she received on such a busy holiday full of other family pets that are also needing their loving care. Thank you all very much for helping us help our kitty get on the road to recovery!

I brought my youngest dog to them last week for an ibuprofen ingestion. They were great with him. There was a tech named Jed who actually laid in the kennel with Boomer to comfort him that night. Even though I could only afford him to be there half of the recommended time, they never made me feel bad about it. He is back to being himself again.

One of our dogs made the rash decision to eat a hand sized chunk of leather. Knowing this could be very bad if left we brought him in within 30 minutes of eating it, the staff were very friendly and got him to yark it up within minutes of arrival potentially saving us thousands by avoiding a blockage surgery and giving us peace of mind. We will be using them for our next veterinary emergency based on our great experience!

INCREDIBLE TEAM….Jasmine, Michelle and Dr. De La Torre!! I presented this morning with my English Mastiff, Arthur. Everyone was kind, thorough and compassionate. Ample time was spent with me and my boy. Much appreciated!!

Dr. Roth and Cadence were awesome at 4am when we brought our 10 month old Basset Baby in for care. He was not eating, drinking or walking well. They were quick to make a plan of action and help us determine the care he needed. They went over all options from admitting him to us taking him home. They were also upfront about possible costs. We opted to keep him in the hospital and we made the right decision! They always took our calls, took time to update and answer questions and allowed us to visit! He is well and back home now! This is the 3rd dog they have treated for me with kindness and compassion! I sing their praises! Thank you to the whole team! I wish I could mention everyone by name.

We brought our dog, Weston, to the clinic because he had had a bad hacking cough for 5 weeks that wasn’t responding to the treatments he’d been on. The staff was wonderful. We were given a diagnosis of pneumonia that made sense and given treatment we feel will help. They were very upfront about the cost which we also appreciated.

This hospital definitely needs more stars. Of course there are always unhappy clients, as most of the time when you need to bring your pet to emergency it is usually not a good thing. But the staff here was amazing. Everyone that works there from the front staff to the techs to the doctors, were compassionate and helpful. You can tell that the staff really enjoys their jobs and are happy in the workplace. I wish I could make this hospital my primary vet office. The veterinarians had great communication - I spoke to 4 different vets who cared for my kitty over the 24 hours that she was hospitalized there. I was so scared for her and I’m so glad that she was cared for by this amazing team. Thanks again for helping Nagini - she is doing great. :)

Our cat was very very sick and had to be put to sleep. No vet clinic has ever been as kind and compassionate as this one. Gave my husband and I tons of time to say goodbye to our little meatball. The vet was so kind, knowledgeable and supportive. We went through something so sad and depressing but having wonderful clinic staff to see us through, helped tremendously

I have had nothing but positive experiences here. After an attack my dog was left bleeding and injured and they wasted no time assisting me, making me feel comfortable and communicating treatment plans and expenses. In the following months, I had a much less pressing incident with my cat. I did wait for serval hours as it is a triage hospital on a busy Sunday evening. That being said I admire the way the staff operates to make everyone feel a sense of calm in what could be a very stressful environment. They have my trust with anything moving forward.

Excellent emergency care! I had to bring my dog in on a Monday evening. She ended up spending the night and the vet team called us with updates and sent us photos. Emergency care is expensive but they provided very clear estimates and expectations. The communication was excellent, which is really helpful when you’re worried about a pet. Thank you for all you do!

I was so incredibly happy with the care my puppy received here! Starting off talking to Kylie at the front desk on the phone was a great experience. She was super helpful and knowledgeable and went over the special precautions that would be taken when we arrived to minimize my young dog’s contact with other animals in order to avoid contagion exposure. We were taken to an exam room promptly and a technician arrived shortly after. The tech (I’m so sorry I forgot her name!) was excellent and was Fear Free certified which is a huge bonus. In fact, the entire staff went above and beyond with special treats and affection to make sure my puppy had a positive experience.
Dr. Roman was very kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. She made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed and provided great communication throughout the entire visit. I could hear how busy the hospital was during our visit, but despite this the care my puppy received was extremely efficient from start to finish.

I've taken my dog Sachi in to see them twice now and both times she ended up having surgery due to a stomach obstruction. I've had an amazing experience both times as they are so caring and considerate of both my pet's needs and my own needs. My dog struggles with some reactivity toward other animals and they are always so accommodating, helping me get her in and out of the office safely. They're also excellent at communicating, always answering my call and questions and calling me frequently while my dog was with them to ensure I knew what was going on. I can't recommend them enough!

I am so thankful for this clinic! I took my dog there after strange diarrhea and lots of vomiting, he stayed there overnight and it turned out to be anaphylaxis!

All of the doctors, nurses, and staff were so kind, and professional. I was so impressed when they got on the ground with my dog to take his vitals, and moved at his pace. When I went home and had to leave him at the clinic, they were so great about communicating with me and answering all my questions.

I also appreciated how transparent they were about billing, and how they ran all decisions by me first and make sure to explain it thoroughly.

Discharge instructions were clear, thorough and easy to follow.

We rushed our sweet girl in when she was acting strangely. The vet quickly diagnosed the problem and relieved the immediate pain she was in so we could spend some more time together. They gently let us know that she was not going to recover. They were upfront with costs and outcomes and helped us saying goodbye to our sweet girl in a humane way. They were so kind and gentle and made the hardest day of our life a little easier. Thank you.

My dog ate gum with xylitol, which is toxic for dogs, and we took her to this hospital late at night since CSU animal hospital was closed 🤯. When my dog arrived, she wasn’t being herself, and we found out she had eaten a fairly high amount of xylitol after contacting poison control. The vets followed all directions by the poison control, and they were very careful about the situation and how to proceed with the treatments. After 1 day receiving treatment at the hospital for her blood and liver she was discharged and feeling much better. She’s now fully recovered, and I’m very grateful for Drs Cody and Fitzpatrick and all staff for taking such good care of her ❤

They provided excellent customer service! Stellar doctor that took as much time we need to talk through our little frenchie’s diagnosis. HIGHLY recommend! They were calm and reassuring in a very difficult and stressful time. Thank you!!

This place saved my baby boys life. He is an 8 month old chocolate lab and swallowed something he shouldn’t have. We brought him in as soon as we noticed something was wrong, and it turned out he needed an emergency surgery or to be put down. It was a very emotional experience since our dogs are our children, but I couldn’t be any happier with the care that he received. They were very informative to us and broke down the cost for everything which made it easy to understand. They were very knowledgeable and got him in for surgery that same evening. He was severely dehydrated from vomiting so much (he couldn’t hold anything down nor would he eat) He needed 2 feet of his intestines removed which was very scary, however, they did an amazing job on it and I’m so beyond happy I trusted them with my baby. They saved his life and I will forever be grateful! The staff seemed very genuine and caring for my pup. I called every few hours to ask how he was doing and they always kept me updated and informed and had answers for me right away. Thank you so much for saving my baby boy!

These people saved my baby! My dog ate a poisonous mushroom on the Fourth of July on our family vacation in Estes park. We got there just in time to save her life. The staff was very professional and caring. They gave us updates as often as possible. This is the place to go if you have an emergency. Thank you!!!!!

FCVERH has incredible doctors and staff. They are compassionate and skilled and I am grateful for all they have done for my own pets, but also for the pets of the community.

The teams in the emergency room are amazing! They have taken excellent care of my pets who decided to get sick or injured outside of normal business hours. I really appreciate the time they take to explain the treatment options and the empathy they've shown me during stressful times.
