The Rivendell School of Northern Colorado

We have two children who attended Rivendell for preschool and younger kids. The preschool program is academic but also fun, our kids come home loving learning. All the teachers are wonderful; I love that my children are learning music, art, Spanish, PE, technology throughout the week. Kids go OUTSIDE a lot throughout the day. Great community with events throughout the year (fun-run, fall festival). Before and after care available. Summer camps are fantastic too!

Rivendell is a school that feels like a second home. My kids have both, at different times, found a place there that fulfills their need to learn while also letting them be kids. They really respect children, both for being children, but also for being people. The individualized academics have allowed my smart kids to bloom, while not creating a pressure-pot that they might explode in. I highly recommend Rivendell to any student, but especially students who find the confines of public school rigidity oppressive, either because they cannot "sit still" enough, or because they need access and instruction that is "more." Or, if they just need to feel "at home" when away from home.

Both of my children attend or attend here. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and highly qualified. The curriculum allows students to progress at their own pace. The low teacher/student ratio provides a wealth of time for individual instruction in literacy, math, foreign language, science, and social studies. The school has a tight-knit community that fosters a life-long love of learning,, a trait that is more than worth the cost of tuition.

Amazing staff, education, and community. Our kids (who are now 17 and 20) attended Rivendell and are thankful for the education they received and the friends they made.
