Heart of the Rockies Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

This women-led progressive church has some of the kindest and most supportive people attending it. This church is open and affirming of all ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations. They host many activities throughout the year for children and youth. And perhaps the most exciting of all, this church is extremely active in the community. The pastors and the people within the congregation work with non-profits like "Kids at Heart", "Faith, Family, Hospitality", "Habitat for Humanity", "Isaac" and more to help people in Fort Collins.

All questions are welcome here; you don't have to conform to a list of acceptable beliefs to be embraced. The kind, loving people will welcome you. The pastors are insightful and warm. Every chance I get, I attend here. I'm "married" to my own church, but HRCC is my mistress. 😂

We love Heart of the Rockies - great programs and community for kids, teens, young adults and families! My husband and I have been coming here for over a year and we feel so loved and welcomed by Pastors Melissa and Wendy. They are leading a group of people who live God’s word by welcoming into worship everyone (and yes that means EVERYONE!) There are great service opportunities and I particularly love singing in the choir and helping out with the Wednesday night youth groups! Thank you for re-awakening my love of church after so much religious trauma.

Heart of the Rockies is the most warm and friendly church I've ever attended. I appreciate that they are officially Open and Affirming which means that all are welcome.

I grew up in this church and it has ALWAYS been a place of support for my family and me. Warm people, warm coffee, and a community that welcomes everyone. For a 24 year old, I appreciate how progressive and inclusive this church is, as it challenges the stereotypes of christianity. This place and these people are awesome :).

Just read about your plans to build affordable housing...your heart is definitely in the right place but 3 to 5 years ? Will donations increase ? My guess is not affordable to lower income renters perhaps you will set aside a small proportion of units for them. Ft Collins has become a retirement mecca since I arrived in Colorado in 1983. Owner...what percentage us liw income ?low income

This congregation is filled with people who care about their community and are doing innovative projects to serve them!

Love that they are doing an affordable housing development area that really needs it. That is serving the mission of Jesus Christ.
