The Mountain Cafe

I'm gonna be honest - I'm not the hugest fan of greasy spoon diners usually. So I was very pleasantly surprised coming to Mountain Cafe for the first time today and thoroughly enjoying everything about it. This is basics done at a very high level, and for a very attractive price. Don't be like me - don't sleep on Mountain Cafe. Will be back!

My favorite breakfast place in town. The perfect place for the best cozy breakfast food. Their chicken fried anything has always been my go to and I have never been disappointed. Their prices are completely reasonable and the service is always friendly.

My father and I loved the food, and I I don’t usually enjoy restaurant eggs, but this is some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tried. Highly recommend for any breakfast and all of the staff was great our waitress April was phenomenal! When The sweetest little old lady came in and they held the door for her and even helped her to the car

The food was delicious, best chicken fried steak in town. The wait staff was attentive and kind. Food was brought out quickly. It even looks like the owner and the waitresses get along well, and to me, the food always tastes the best when the workers are treated well. Will visit again.

A Fort Collins Institution simple delicious breakfast, good service, and can almost always find a table because they move so quick. Great value. Been coming here for nearly a decade.

Great place for having a big breakfast! The pancakes were delicious, and so flufly. The buscuits with gravy was all we were expecting. The service was quick and attentive. We really enjoyed our Sunday morning there. We will for sure come back!

I have been coming to this amazing mom and pop cafe for over a decade. Best smothered breakfast burrito in town! You will not find better service, they have perfected a homey cafe style cookery with love. No better place to kick start your day. It is a wonderful community gathering place as well.

Nice & cozy medium size diner. Very good breakfast. Biscuits and sausage gravy are great, and meal portion size was just right for a reasonable price. Server was nice and attentive, she was only one on duty, and was keeping up w all customers. Will def make this one of my regular breakfast spots!

Mountain Cafe always delivers on great food. It is welcoming, comfortable and the quality of the food is consistently excellent. Another thing that sets it apart from many other eateries is the wait staff. April, in particular, is an awesome waitress who welcomes everyone like family whether she is waiting on 12 tables or two. She is attentive, accommodating and doesn't leave any customer wanting anything. Mountain Cafe is a must for delicious home style cooking.

I loved this place. The staff were amazing, and helped me find the most senic route through the mountains. The food? Cooked perfectly. I had the eggs and bacon with hash browns. Bacon was light and crisp. The hash browns were nicely browned. Thank you for being a rememberable stop on my trip.

April is the best server! I’ve been here 4 times and enjoy trying something different every time!!!

Good local place to enjoy breakfast and lunch. Nothing fancy, just good tasting, typical American food with good, old fashioned service.

This is my favorite hole in the wall diner in Fort Collins. Has the classic small town vibes. Prices and food is straight forward and not like the overprice breakfast places in Fort Collins. Just ventured to try their house burger and it satisfied me 10/10! April the Main server is the best and highly recommended creating a friendship with her!

Good old-fashioned tasty breakfast served with a smile! Neat, no frills but homey. Great place to fuel up before the Oak Street Farmer's market!
