City of Rocks is cool. Looks like an awesome place to camp to look at the stars. Window Arch is tiny, don't expect anything like moab... Trails are not paved but are maintained. Lots of rocks for the climber in your family.

Little off the beaten path to get to but cool place with lots of short hikes. Make sure you stop at the visitors' center when passing through. Sorry, don't remember his name, but the Park Ranger at the VC was fantastic. He explained the history and gave us pointers to what to see. Even shared with us where to eat in town and the best way to leave on paved road, worth the stop.

This site is really quick to access within the campsite. I love that everything is so close. Just be mindful that you practically have to walk through someone's campsite to get there.

The rangers as the visitor center were helpful and engaging. Their love of the reserve showed in their enthusiasm.

Wonderful views! Definitely more parking and trails than 20 years ago and many more people. But still gorgeous views.

Love camping in this area. Bring your own water. Garbage is pack in pack out. Prepare accordingly. Many great places to hike and climb for novices without equipment. Bathrooms are the hole in the ground, breeze on your backside type toilets. Absolutely beautiful.

The entire City of Rocks is amazing. Some hikes more strenuous than others. Also moderate to strenuous rock climbing. Beautiful scenery and some interesting history

I love window arch. It is definitely in the desert. But it's beauty is so unique, and I love the bouldering that can be done here. Guarantee you wouldn't want to miss this treasure, even if it is just a quick drive by.
