I tent camped here a few nights ago while driving from Montana to CA with my dog. It was a Thursday night and I didn't have a reservation, but there were about 10 sites open at 9 pm when I arrived. It was a full moon, and beautiful night. I was the only tent camper here and it really is set up for RVs only (camping is on a flat bed of rocks, which worked fine). Pricey imo at $31 a night if you're not an ID resident, showers cost additional. Small campground, I easily walked the entire thing with my dog in 12-15 minutes. The sites are nicely spread apart in general. In the morning I drove to City of Rocks, and wished that I had camped there, as that place has much nicer tent oriented campsites imo ...stunningly dispersed in the rock formations. Beautiful area, and I'm so glad I got to check it out!! Shower and bathroom are clean, and I recommend this place.

Large semi-private shaded sites. Showers and flush toilets. Water and electrical hook-ups. Dump station on site.

Nice, clean campground. The bathrooms and showers and water arent available until May 1st. You have to reserve a campsite online there is no first come first serve and pay at the park.

Great campground just outside of city of rocks. There are a number of spots that are very private. At the west end of the park is a nice trail leading into the city of rocks reserve early and take a Wandervan campervan with you.

The campsites were very nice and shady after being out climbing for days on end. The facilities were also so clean.

I was able to also get 1 bar of Verizon, depending on where I was standing.

We love this campground. It's about 5 minutes from city of rocks but it has electric and water hookups plus an RV dump when exiting. The sites are clean. They have restrooms and public showers (separate rooms of course)

Awesome time. Shady, though lower elevation compared to other sites. Hot during the day (July).

Smoky Mountain CG (i.e. Castle Rock SP) offers W/E campsites of varied sizes and level-ness, but Google Satellite helped in a picking site that was long enough for our 40’ 5th wheel along with being fairly level and quite private (like all of the sites available). It looked like all the sites were 30 amp, so I was surprised to find a 50 amp breaker at our site. However, it was wired incorrectly (no ground), so we stuck with 30 amp for the duration of our stay. Castle Rock is a beautiful CG with lots of trees and sweeping views, and we enjoyed a quiet stay with access to trails leading out of the park and easy drives to both COR and Castle Rocks SP (note: the CG is about 6 miles from Castle Rock SP, but the price of camping includes day entry there). Verizon was a little spotty, but the booster made 4G usable. The dump station is conveniently located on the way out, and their rate is $38 a night plus a $10 reservation fee.

Whomever designed this campground did an amazing job. We love the place. Restrooms are super clean and there's even a place to get a shower. The views from the campground are gorgeous and it's just minutes away from City of Rocks and Castlerock State Park.

Paved spots, gravel tent pad, and metal picnic table with water(during summer season). Dump station is at the bottom of the hill on the way out available while water is on only. Showers and flush toilets available mid-May through first of October (water shutdown for winter). Pit toilets available year round. Power available year round, 30A & 50A.

Great location with easy access to the reserve and state park. Camp hosts were very nice and helpful. Sites were serviced with W/E. Only downside was that the dump station was closed for repairs. I assume this is temporary. There is so much to see and explore; we can't wait to go back.

Quiet, beautiful scenery and great dark star gazing. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Showers had hot water and good pressure.

Great camping and RV sites with flush toilets bathrooms, fire ring and picnic tables, showers, electric and water hookups, and free dump on the way out. Nice wooded area with semi-private sites only a few minutes from the main road and City of Rocks national reserve park.

The camp sites are secluded. The camp-ground is 2 miles from the state park. (A little confusing) Just go South through Almo, then turn right before the pavement ends. Then left at the sign.

Wow wow wow, each spot is nestled away from your neighbors giving lovely isolated locations. It snowed but they still had one spigot at the rangers station still on for water and allowed RV camping with electric only.

Amazing views, quiet and well appointed. Verizon LTE if you have a strong external antenna or booster. I'm able to work remotely here with 30mbps down/10up
