It makes me sad that some reviews are so harsh. First off if you want a “fancy” rv park, don’t come here and then right a bad review!

The Sunflower is charming, eclectic , and extremely friendly. As you drive in you will be very aware that Jennifer and her late husband have lived and loved a lot of years here. At the center of the property is Jennifer’s fun white and turquoise dome home with lots of whimsy. Looks likhe her husband had a few “man cave” workshops with on going projects. Jennifer is the sole proprietor now, her husband past away almost a year ago, as you can imagine she is trying to mange the park, grieve and be a lovely hostess. She has just remodeled the bathroom. The laundry area had a small fire and she is in the process of fixing it. Yes you are parked on dirt and no not in a straight uniform line as some reviewers have mentioned. She is in the process of making it more fire wise so there are piles of wood waiting to be chipped or cut. There are places to dump and get water if you are not at full hook up site. It is convenient to the town of Tubac. It is a very short walk to the Santa Cruz River and the Anza trail. If you are a birder, shopper, art lover and/or hiker this spot is perfect. The property is close to a railroad crossing, again if you don’t like trains don’t go.
The Sunflower is a little gem for the town of Tubac!

Stayed here in the beginning of April 2023 in a 18 ft. trailer for 5 days. Had a pull through spot with plenty of room except that I didn't allow for the tree which precluded my use of my awning, my fault. Cost was $35 a night with full hook ups, no cable but plenty of antenna TV stations. Not sure if they have 50 amp service mine was 30 which was ok for my needs. Yes, there is a lot of dirt which in places is covered with wood chips. Everyone
is encouraged to drive really slow which seemed to be observed by everyone. Everyone here was very friendly, and it is very dog friendly. As a side note there is a nice Dog Park about 6/10 of a mile away that has a small and large dog section, however no shade. The walk to town is about a mile on level ground. The train comes through maybe three times in a 24 hr. period. To me it was no big thing, but I was at the far end of the park. If I am in this area again, I will defiantly return. Another side note, there is an onsite gentleman, Louis I think, who is very helpful and offered me the use of the air compressor as I was having some tire issues.

Awesome place. We only stayed for a night but everyone was so friendly and there were a bunch of fun birds all around to watch. A bit more private and secluded than a big RV resort which we loved.

This is a hidden gem! The spaces are spread out, so you aren't right next to another rig. Our spot did not have a grill or picnic table, but it did have some nice trees with lots of birds. While a little hard to find, the park is close enough to Tubac that we walked to dinner. No road noise and just a little train noise, so we had a much better sleep than being in one of the other parks right next to the freeway. Would stay again.

This is a great, inexpensive camp, close to the cozy village of Tubac. It has beautiful views and great star gazing, hiking and bird watching opportunities! Jennifer, our camp host, is the most amazing, friendly and knowledgeable person. Her family has so much history here and she even played guitar and sang one night for us! We are definitely coming back here to stay.

Now called Sunflower Camp, this place was great! Really enjoyed my campsite, which was off-grid, I parked in the shade. Really enjoyed Jennifer (Jif) and her husband performing, they are quite accomplished! Jif was very attentive, asked us if we needed anything quite often. I would definitely recommend this campground and the people that operate it!

Loved dry camping here. It’s not fancy but has all of the basics. So if you don’t want to stay on the concrete in the RV parks north of Tubac, this is a great place to stay.

Tucked in behind, around and next to the river, railroad and grazing horses this off the path rv park was oh-so comfortable. Quiet (albeit an occasional train) with lots of room during an off peak visit. Friendly and accommodating.
