My husband and I got married at Jolene Family Winery in October 2023 and had an absolutely incredible experience! The venue is gorgeous and we were very lucky with the weather on our special day which made the atmosphere and ambiance exactly what we had hoped for. The beautiful scenery and property structures were the perfect backdrop for our photos and I look forward to enjoying the beauty for years to come!

Working with Alyx and the event staff during and leading up to our wedding with easy and all of our questions were answered promptly. Our other vendors also noted that it was great to work with the Jolene staff. If you're considering a wedding or other event at Jolene, I would highly recommend it!

Spacious venue with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking. Great wine selection, and some snacks for purchase- a perfect place to bring your own picnic for a fun afternoon!

Found this gem when we googled what's near us as we got gas. I am really glad we did. Nice little roadside stop. Tasting of all of their flavors was $20 we brought our own cooler in as we had meat n cheese in it, so we had a great lunch. Beautiful pond view, lots of seating. There were even 2 tents with seating and fun little lights which is great for little groups. Wines were good and priced well $20-$25 a bottle. Best lunch we have had in a little ng time! Thank you

It's a really pretty site and the wine was really good. The girl that took our order needs a refresher course to be in the hospitality business. You don't slap your lips and eat while waiting on a customer. You listen to what they ordered so they don't have to pull out their credit card twice. After they tell you what they want you don't start on script and tell them what's available. Other than our experience with her, we had a lovely time.

Absolutely beautiful! A very nested and kept secret. Beautiful scenery and ambiance and the staff were attentive, sweet and very laid back- totally fit the vibe of the winery. Great for a date night or a girls day/night out!

This place is a true treasure! Often, when we consider quality wineries, we consider the flavors and the service. True: The Jolene Family has great service and wine. But, more importantly, the Winery here is an amazing experience!

They have a park/lake for walking, feeding ducks, and sitting out on blankets. We were able to rent one of their Teepee-style tents (I realize this is not the official terminology, but it is easier to describe it as so). Inside these tents were all of the modern amenities, but with a quaint and intimate feeling.

Out attendant was prompt, efficient, helpful, and conversational. We learned how she moved to the East Coast after living in Alaska for a long while. She chose her new home after draft a list of pros and cons. This discussion reminded me of how I convinced my wife to marry me. At any rate, our attendant chose us, and we are all the better for her choice!

We prolonged our stay because the wine was tasty and the live band they had there was just what we were looking for. There was picnic style out door settings, food trucks, and more.

Inside, there is room for private parties and common seating. There is even more than we had time to enjoy. But, without a doubt, we plan to become regular customers.

Many kudos to the owners, operators, and employees. If you are looking for a great family/friend time or an adult date day, give the Jolene Family Winery a chance to wow you, like they did us.

A true 10 out of 10!

I recently visited a wine bar that I found to be really impressive. The ambiance of the place was great and the staff was very knowledgeable about the different types of wine they had on offer. The selection of wine available was vast and I was able to find the perfect one to suit my tastes. The bar also had a great selection of appetizers that paired well with the wine. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this wine bar to anyone looking for a great place to enjoy some delicious wine.

Another hidden gem in the RVA close vicinity! Very good and relaxing times at Jolene’s. Plenty of parking, easy to find and easy access from Richmond and Williamsburg. Conveniently located near pharmacy, grocery store and pizzeria. Plenty of seating in and out. The patio is super pleasant and inviting. In the afternoon, the tall pine trees provide natural shade. There is a wooded area at the riverside for picnic as long as you bring your chairs. Food is allowed, no outside alcohol. Pets are allowed too. In most cases there would be a food truck on the weekends. They have a couple of yurts available for rent. The wines are pretty great, but they also offer several cider options. Definitely, a place worth visiting for a nice wine-down afternoon.

Where do I start! This is one of the best winery's. If you have not had a chance to visit this place, now is the time. Live music and the wine is the best! There was not one bottle we did not like. We will be back!!

What an unexpected surprise! Getting off the highway I had my doubts but this place is so lovely, peaceful and delicious. Wines can be on the sweeter side but really well made and refreshing. Can’t wait to come back in the summer.

Clean attractive winery tasting room. Wonderful covered patio with close view of flowing stream, geese, gazebo, and an outdoor misting room. Seems ideal for picnics and has comforting policies for self-guided tastings during COVID.

Love this place! First time, hanging out on back patio with excellent views of the lake, listening to an acoustic duo on a Sunday afternoon. So relaxing... Will be back
