Dr. Srikanth Mahavadi, DPM

I saw De Mahavadi in 2019 for an agonizing heel spur in my Achilles tendon. He recommended getting shoes with a higher heel, and never going barefoot. I followed his advice and haven’t had any pain since.

Dr. Mahavadi is always professional, thorough, and caring. He is very knowledgeable in his field and takes time to fully understand and treat your problems.

I was first seen by Dr. Mahavadi in August 2020. I had no complaints. I called and made another appointment with Dr. Mahavadi 4 months later. For context, when going to the first Aug appointment, I used my GPS. I had zero clue where I was because I am new to Chesterfield county so I am always relying on my GPS. So in Dec I used my GPS again except I went to a different location (not even aware that Dr. Mahavadi had more than 1 practice). I arrive and the receptionist asks where I live and I told her Chester and she asks, ‘Why didn’t you go to the Colonial Heights location?’ And that’s when it hit me, I thought this place looked different. To make this short, the receptionist apologized for the confusion and the inconvenience because whoever made the appointment failed to ask me which location I would like to be seen at (probably slipped their mind). Next, I was seen by the doctor literally for THREE minutes then went to the front desk and she said I was free to leave. I left happy because I thought they were not going to charge me for the inconvenience seeing that it was THEIR FAULT I drove 40-45 miles out when I could have driven 15-20 minutes out instead. Well, I get a bill in the mail. I am thinking it was an honest mistake. I explain to the lady what happened and she is completely unsympathetic and says it was my fault; that I should have immediately recognized it wasn’t the same location. Are you serious? 1. I’m new to this part of Virginia and 2. It is not my responsibility to know the doctor has more than 1 practice!!

I will not be returning to this practice again and I wanted to let everyone who searches for a podiatrist to know that this doctor cares more about a $40 co-pay than his patients inconvenience due to his very own staff’s error.
