Boardwalk Beach Hotel & Convention Center

We stayed here recently and it was clean, had hot water, and several bars where the booze was flowing. If you're expecting the Four Seasons, go pay Four Seasons money. If you're looking for a nice, inexpensive beach stay, ain't nothing wrong with this place. The reviews here make it seem WAY worse than it is and it ain't nearly that bad. Wild enough, it's actually pretty good. We'll absolutely be back.

Loved it so much. Came for Big Stuff Beach camp with church and had fun. The rooms we were in were quaint and cute. Had fun and enjoyed it. Great view of the beach and ocean. Had two pools they were nice. Also an arcade spent a while in there!

Was skeptical about this reservation after reading all the negative reviews but we had a fantastic experience. Checkin was easy. No pushy sales pitch like others described.

Room was as expected. While dated it was clean and smelled clean on entry. Bedding was clean. Bathroom is dated but not filthy or dirty like others noted.

Absolutely spectacular location. For the price, well worth it for our family of 6 and pet friendly.

Traveled from North Carolina Beaches. This is a great place for vacations. It's a beach area to expect the natural beach critters. This area is also a coastal vacation spot so expect the natural usage of the hotel. The Staff was attentive and the convention area was very nice. The board walk was very romantic and you have an area to view the beach side with sunsets. Rooms were clean and bathroom also. A/C worked prefect. The beach access with very close the the hotel. Beaches were clean and sunsets were beautiful.

Amazing Views, sometimes the palms cover the second floor but the views are so beautiful!
Great Breakfast even though it isn't complimentary, it's hot and they make it until 2pm incase you sleep in while enjoying yourself!
Checking in was so easy! Even though check in is at 4pm during this season, they got me in my room quicker because I came to preregister at the hotel before 12pm. (They can not guarantee your check in time though, which is understandable)
The rooms fit the budget cost and the staff met my needs WHEN I REPORTED THEM :)
They had TWO bar and grills; one with juicy burgers and chicken wings. The other with a Island/Tiki feel to their food!
We got a free parking pass and they let us know because it is NOT summer season anymore that they will allow extra parking only if the hotel was not sold out, which again is understandable!
The hotel was pet friendly thank goodness cause my emotional support doggy was with me, now Florida doesn't accept him as a service animal but the pet fee was literally only $20 per night plus tax and that was GREAT for us!
One of the pools had to have chemical maintenance when we were there but FORTUNATELY they had ANOTHER pool!! Both are open 10am-10pm :)
The ice machines were going through maintenance on the floors but they have a free one in the lobby where you check in, or a bagged ice vending for $6.50 in the lobby as well. (Private owner; huge bag of ice too)
I will totally be back in October to use their FALL DEALS

Also FYI, it is Turtle season and the lights are OUT AT NIGHT!

If you are looking for a 5 star room, this isn’t for you. BUT if you are looking for a 5 star experience on a budget, then this is the place!

We went back and forth in staying here because of the reviews, but decided to risk it for the opportunity to stay on the beach. It was definitely worth the risk. Staff was incredibly friendly during the check-in process and was accommodating to our last minute request to upgrade to a ocean-view room. They are also pet friendly ($20 per night) and many places around here are not (or they have a huge cost).

Was the room perfect? No. But the linens were all clean, it was big free, and it exceeded our expectations after reading the reviews. Yeah, it had some crumbly sheet rock, a small hole in the bathroom door, etc, but it was clean and you can’t get this location and amenities for this price anywhere else. It was absolutely breathtaking to be able to have a balcony view looking over the ocean. You are also right on the beach! Just a short boardwalk trot away from a clean and beautiful spot to enjoy the afternoon. Staff also changes out your towels and garbages daily, which is something that many hotels do not do since Covid.

We were traveling with 2 small children and our dog and could not have had a better experience. We would absolutely stay here again!

Took us 3 hours to get checked into a room ! After they checked us in to TWO DIRTY rooms , had to walk all over the hotel and I’m 7 1/2 months pregnant

A comfortable room that serves it's purpose of providing a good night's rest. As close to the beach as you can get without actually sleeping in the dunes. I have slept in the dunes on a beach and I'll tell you, it's not good. If your expectations of staying at a hotel that is flawless or in like new condition, then you'll be disappointed and should go elsewhere, but expect to pay a lot more money per night. The staff at check-in was super relaxed and chill while resolving any challenges that inevitably happens sometimes during the process. I had a late last minute booking and check-in and the whole staff worked great together to quickly get my room ready.

I was a little skeptical at first about booking this hotel because of the bad reviews. We did not see or have any issues whatsoever. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were just right. The view was beautiful. We got 6 free tickets to a 3.5 hour dolphin cruise through a quest booth set up in lobby. This was a very nice place to stay. Housekeeping kept us stocked up with everything. Thanks for the stay.

Top notch place to stay, staff on premises we're very nice especially the front entrance guards. Always polite and helpful. Our room was very nice, the only complaint is the pull out bed couch. The mattress on it was so thin I could feel the metal bracing under it and didn't get good sleep on it, the main bed was really comfortable though. We can't vouch for the bunk beds as they had a 125lb weight limit and we didn't have kids.

The pool was active but not over crowded. And the view of the gulf was spectacular (see pics). We had one of the small balconies and we were able to fit 4 adults comfortably out in the balcony with tables to hold drinks so they are spacious. We will definitely be coming back next trip.

This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are old out dated the furniture was old n dusty. The front desk act like they had an attitude the floors are just nasty I should have just slept in my car rooms are over priced never again the tub had black stuff around it. This hotel need a remodel badly. The room we where place in looks like the
Maids corner right by the trees went to the front desk to ask for another no they said all the room are alike. To top it off we arrived at the hotel at 4: pm room was not ready until 7:pm they said they would call us when our room was ready they never did.I had to go back to the front desk and ask was my room ready the front desk looked crazy in the face they act like I already had my dam room. So please read all the reviews before you stay here I stayed in room 4303.

My daughter and son-in-law chose Boardwalk as the venue for their wedding reception. I agreed as my brother and sister-in-law hired Boardwalk for their wedding reception and it was superb. Everything was top notch! Planning was easy and straight forward. The price was very affordable for two small ballrooms to hold a dance floor and ~60 guests. Plenty of parking with a short walk for older and disabled guests was abundant.

The day of the event was a breeze as Desiree was there to make sure the ballroom was set up the way we wanted it and that the cake delivery and DJ set up went smoothly. The event coordinator, Donna, knew exactly what to expect with no shows and extra guests, and those amendments to the dinner plan along with a slight shift of the mealtime were made with ease.

Overwhelming our guests complimented the venue for a delicious meal and excellent service. Servers were polite and experienced. The bartender knew how to pour a stiff drink! The staff helped box up the cake and get the tables cleared of dinnerware completely so that we could collect our belongings and decor. Also of note, our DJ left a piece of equipment and Donna promptly inquired about it so that he could retrieve it without incident.

All-in-all an absolute dream of a wedding! Many guests remarked that it was the best wedding they’d attended in some time! Thank you Boardwalk Beach Resort staff for this day!

Rooms were clean and spacious. Mattress was a little rough but the pillows were amazing. Parking was an issue due to limited space. Now I understand why you are only allowed one vehicle in the main parking area.

I'll leave a review.. lol perfect place. Souvenir shops are all within 1-3 miles. You are on the beach. Ice machine still broken... but you can get it where you check in, (the food court has an ice machine!) Walmart for last minute swizz shizz is not even a mile away. Perfect vacation with not a lot of driving around, unless you just want to. At first I thought the doors were weird how the bathroom was but if you bring a pet, that's an awesome set up don't have to worry about them running out. Just don't leave the bathroom door open or they can get out lol :) awesome! Very beautiful and affordable.

Hi We stayed from May 25---30 We had a great time!! The room was clean and we had no complaints. Everyone was nice, we really appreciated the Lady who cleaned & brought fresh towels etc. She was very pleasant and a hard worker,I asked her name she was Dell Perry. I'm sure we will try & visit again!! Thank you

First time staying at this property. It was very well maintained and monitored. Safety is taken seriously here. I loved that they kept someone monitoring who was coming and going on the property. Helped make parking a breeze. They also really watch who is using the pool and make sure you belong there. All the security staff were friendly and professional. D was very kind. The bar and grill was great by the pool. Also had a good area for younger toddlers to play, kind of like a splash pad area. If you don’t follow rules, this probably isn’t the place for you.

Stayed for 2 days on the newly renovated floor (4th floor). Didn't see a single bug inside the room. Pool was nice and clean. The hotel sits right on the beach, so it's a very short walk to get to the ocean. The boardwalk restaurant being right next to the pool is very nice, bartender was nice. Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for one night. The staff was WONDERFUL! I left a personal item in the room & gave them a call to see if they would look for it. They called me back and told me they had it and kept it at the front desk for pickup. Would definitely stay again due to staff. As far as the room, my only complaint would be the beds were to stiff for my comfort.

The stay was absolutely great. We have no complaints. The shower and water pressure was good. Beds were comfortable and meet the god feared man “ Marcus “ Marcus is a very nice well mannered man all these talks about him aren’t true. We’ve met him on a few different occasions on different stays he’s never been rude or mean to us nor have we seen him do it in public. Board walk is a good hotel for the money. The staff is great. Also the hotel restaurant is good for its food too. We always enjoy our stay at board walk!

Beautiful condo - loved the location. Right on the beach. It was clean and beautifully decorated. Plenty of room. Balcony with gorgeous ocean view. Watched the sun set every night. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Tons of clean towels. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you can imagine. A group of 8 of us were down to celebrate a birthday. 4 in one condo 4 in the other down the road. Loved both of them. Cannot wait to get back. Definietly going next year for a longer stay.
