Cave Ridge Vineyard

Second time visiting this vineyard and had the best time! We reserved a tasting which offered samples of several wines along with a small offering of snacks to accompany. They offer outdoor gas fireplaces for a small fee, igloos for rent in the winter and wine slushies in the summer. Love this place and will keep coming back!

Our group had an amazing experience at Cave Ridge! We came as part of my sister’s bachelorette trip and booked the barrel room - it truly made the weekend so special. Jared was very knowledgeable about each wine on the tasting menu and was a ton of fun (the whole team was wonderful) and we even got a special visit from the owner! The tasting menu had a great balance of sparking, white, and red wine options and each one was incredible! The ambience is very relaxing and the perfect spot for a celebration. I can’t recommend Cave Ridge enough!

Last night, my husband surprised me and took me to this wonderful vineyard for my birthday. What a wonderful time we had. They were having wild game dinner and wine pairing. We were greeted by the owner, who is amazing. Poured the first of wines, a sparkling Rosé with hors d'oeuvres. That set the tone for the night. I can't put into words how wonderful the wines were and the meal served with. If you have never been, I encourage you to visit, You will not be disappointed in any wine you choose. The notes, the flavor, are spot on. I would like to take this moment to thank the owner, his family, and staff for making this one of the most memorable enjoyable Birthday's I ever had. The family style dining made the moment even more special. My husband and I met new friends and shared a moment in time. To Michelle, Bonnie, Chip, my husband and I appreciated your dining companionship. Thank you, Cave Ridge Vineyard. We shall return.

Lovely winery - scenic venue, very friendly service, great tasting options. Can't go wrong with the sweet flight - mulled wine is fantastic! Great charcuterie board as well.

October 2nd , we started Virginia wine month with a bang!!
I took a group of 14 ladies to shenandoah for a relaxing day of wines and grapes stomping. We ended up at Cave ridge Vineyards, besides the weather being gloomy and raining on and off it didn't stop us from having a fabulous day.
We were welcome by Luna and Graig with glasses 🥂 of Rosè (isn't this a vip treatment?)

We were taken to our tables that beautiful set up to our surprise with charcuterie board (beautiful made by the way by Megan Phillips ) . We went through a guided tasting of over 10 wines. The ladies learned so much about the grapes, the story behind cave ridge, process of aging and with the food pairing.
We ended with a port style that was paired with a dark chocolate and that was definitely everyone's favorite 😍, who doesn't like chocolate and wine? Me, 😆 🤣 ....

Megan and the crew were fabulous as always and went beyond custom service to make everyone feel comfortable.
The cherry on top we had our own stomping on grapes experience even though it was cold and rainy ⛈.

It was a first time for a few ladies for grapes stomping and first winery in VIRGINIA and Cave ridge Vineyards has set up the expectations pretty high .

Great atmosphere, really quaint and quiet back here, it's so peaceful when the wind blows through the trees. The wine flights are affordable and tasty! Feel free to bring your own snack's to sit outside.

Fantastic wine, ambience and service! I booked a reserve tasting for my wife and I but mistakenly booked it for the wrong weekend. I told the staff no worries and we’d be fine with enjoying some flights outside. However the staff was adamant they would make it work. They dropped what they were doing and threw an unscheduled tasting together. Jared was fantastic and the wines were top notch. Can’t wait to come back!

Been to this vineyard twice now. They are very welcoming, have a great atmosphere, and a decent selection for their charcuterie board. The first time we went, the charcuterie board was in a prepackaged box, but they're now doing handmade ones. The wine is delicious and I highly recommend visiting this place. Also, for all the ladies who love taking pictures, they have a nice little photo op spot, as seen in the pictures.

Beautiful location with many outdoor seating options on a pretty day. My husband enjoyed the excellent wine flight and we read books for 2 hours on the upper Adirondack chair grassy area. Live music was playing on Sunday which added to a restful and enjoyable afternoon.

My friends and I came to Cave Ridge as part of a wine trail for a bachelorette party. This was the third winery on our itinerary and we decided not to go to the fourth because of how great the atmosphere was at this vineyard. Unfortunately when we left at closing our car broke down. The staff was so hospitable and helpful, providing phone numbers for towing services and even offering to take us home. They went above and beyond and didn’t make us feel like a burden. This alone deserves a five star review for the best staff at any Vineyard in the area. Additionally the wine was the best that we had on our trip and the cheese boards looked amazing. Definitely recommend the Cabernet Franc If you are a red drinker and summer splash if you prefer white. We will always be so appreciative of our friends at Cave Ridge and for helping us learn how to make lemonade out of lemons. :)

Cave Ridge Vineyard is in my top three of best wineries in Mt Jackson. They have a great atmosphere and a diverse selection of wines. I had never had a ‘lushie’ (a wine slushie!) before, but it was literally so delicious. My family and I got three different flights and it was so nice having that many different wines to choose from. Not only was the wine good, but the snacks were also super good. We got the chocolate and charcuterie board and absolutely crushed it. Although it’s more on the pricey side, it is well worth it. There was plenty of seating, as well as ‘igloos’ you could reserve in the colder months. There was also a really cute backdrop to get some good pictures at. Overall the experience was fantastic and I would love to come back with the family.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday and it was a lovely time. The wine was great and the views were spectacular. Highly recommend getting the wine flights and the Charcuterie board.

Beautiful mountain view and nice live music. Adults enjoyed the sweet wine flight and kids loved the snack and chocolate box. A pleasant afternoon.

Had a party of 9 attend this weekend for a birthday trip- the staff was amazing and the location was beautiful! Great spot if you are visiting the area, 10/10 would recommend :)

Came here for the first time July 2020 & I'll definitely go back! The flights were beyond impressive & impressive looking, the views were PRICELESS and the wine slushies were the best I've ever had anywhere!

I'm not a wine drinker but found a couple of types that were quite good. Staff were very cheerful and friendly and explained the different types for me.

Easily in the top five most beautiful vineyards in the state of Virginia. I've been to about 100 and this is easily top five in terms of beauty. The wines are excellent and the tasting is fun. Our tasters were Olivia and Holly. Beautiful ladies with great smiles and personalities to match. Huge plus.... They are VERY pretty friendly.

Did a red wine flight. Firstly, what a great pour for $16! Wines were all delicious. You get your money's worth. Plenty of parking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were friendly. Would recommend
