Venice Fishing Pier

Venice Fishing pier is an awesome fishing pier. You won't believe the size if hammerheads that have been caught here. If you are a Florida fisherman and haven't been here, you are missing out. These waters off Venice are ancient shark breeding grounds. That's why Venice is so well known for finding shark teeth on the beach. Divers often find megalodon teeth here as well. Even if you don't fish, this is something to see. You can have lunch at Sharkey's and take a stroll out on the pier.

Beautiful spot to visit any time of day & year! The views out over the water are perfect for a nice stroll and especially at sunset time! It's also a great place to take photos above or below the Pier for a one of a kind backdrop! Another favorite place I like to take clients to capture family, engagement & senior shots!

Free! Amazing views and you can sift for shark teeth! Restaurants at the base of the pier.

We didn’t do any fishing but had fun watching to see what others were pulling in. The mackerel were biting and we also saw someone pull in a small hammerhead shark! There is a small shop on the pier where you can rent shark tooth sifters, fishing poles, and purchase gifts.

Fishing, beach, tiki bar and Sharkeys restaurant. The facilities with outdoor shower is very nice. Lots of parking.

Super nice place! If you are in the area I'd definitely recommend stopping by. You'll have the option of a nice beach, or the 700ft long fishing pier to enjoy the scenery. Good parking and restroom facilities here as well. The sunset was amazing.

This was a very nice beach. I have begun a new obsession with photos of waves , an am pleased with the results from this location.
The pier was quiet nice, although the day I went the wind was fierce.
The beach and sand are very nice. There is a restaurant along the beach are. Ate there many years ago and it was good. There are a few cute shops before you get to the pier. Looks like folks were enjoying the fishing, even with the wind.

One of the most beautiful places in gulf of Florida. I love this pier especially the restaurant Fins. Gentleman, this is a perfect place to take the lady for a beautiful sunset. I highly recommend it to anyone ! I have yet to fish here but would love too

We visited the Venice Fishing Pier with some friends during a vacation in Florida. We didn’t do any fishing, but the experience was still amazing. We walked to the end of the 700-foot long pier and enjoyed the turquoise and blue water and the exansive views of the beach in both directions. If you're hungry before or after your visit, you can always stop in at Sharky's restaurant for a bite to eat, right at the foot of the pier. And, if you enjoy photography, the pier provides plenty of opportunity for amazing photos.

Absolutely 💯 beautiful! Great shelling beach. Sand dollars. Lovely view. Sharkey's is delicious! And watching the pier fishing was a blast! Lucky folks.

Pier was fantastic. Bait shop was great. Red tide killed the action. Looking forward to a visit after the red tide. Adjoining beach and public facilities were everything you could want. Free parking also.

Love this beach. I'd say best in the area for convenience, which makes it busy most nice days. Having a fishing pier and bar/restaurants 100 yards from your beach setup is perfect. There is a nice public bathroom with clean off shower for sandy feet. We did find some sharks teeth on the beach but it was much more difficult than manasota beach.

Great place to fish, boat watch, and look for shark’s teeth under the pier. You can see for a couple of miles up and down the coast. There’s a great little rental shop between Sharky’s and Finn’s for chairs, umbrellas, and shifters (needed for finding shark’s teeth) and anything else you might need for your beach day.

Awesome place to come hang out. There is a rental person on the beach that charges $50 for an umbrella and 2 chairs that you can keep until 5:30pm. They also offer 50% of each item after that. If your lucky you can get a shady spot under the pier to setup camp. The sand is HOT!! Just a heads up with small children. This is not quartz crystal like siesta key or lito. The sand here is spicy! The swimming is awesome and the sharks teeth and other rare finds are even better. There is small shop by sharksys that sells a few items otherwise checkout the bait shop on the pier. They have $1 icey pops and $1 soda and water which is dirt cheap compared in the shops.

This is probably the most popular spot on the Gulf coast of Florda for mile in either direction. It has a huge, wonderful restaurant at the pier with ample parking, easy to drive to, wonderful sunsets, a pier with a structure that is perfect for under the pier photos. You can walk for mikes up and down the beach. Great sand, great food, great tunes, great vibe, great facilities. I've been coming to Florida for over 20 years and have seen both coast. This is pretty much my favourite.

Beautiful beach and the pier provides a perfect background for sunset pictures. You can rent fishing gear and buy bait on the pier, plus there is Sharkey's restaurant and a Tiki bar!
