I recently visited Babes Hardware Store and was blown away by the exceptional knowledge of the staff! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who were eager to help me find exactly what I needed. The store is incredibly well-curated, with a thoughtful selection of high-quality tools and materials. It's clear that the team at Babes takes pride in their work and is passionate about providing the best products and expert advice to their customers. Whether I had a simple question or a more complex query, the staff were always happy to help and share their expertise. The store itself is well-organized and easy to navigate, making it a pleasure to browse and explore. I highly recommended!

Bought my new Weber grill there. I actually just ordered it over the phone. It was delivered that afternoon, for free, all set up ready to go. Same grill available at Lowe's for same price. But why support a corporate store? Babes is the place!

First visit to the store today. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with Alex who helped us today. My dad is almost 95 and likes to do things himself and Alex made him feel like a valued knowledgeable customer. We will be back!

If you go to an Ace Hardware, make sure it’s Babe’s on the island! Looked in all the usual places for a drain cover for our shower without any luck. Finally went to the new Ace Hardware and even they didn’t have the part but the person helping me said go to Babe’s Ace, they’ll have it. They had it! Even knocked off a couple bucks since it was on the wrong shelf at a lower price. It’s hard to find service like this anymore; definitely not at the warehouse chain stores…

This is a fabulous old school hardware store. It’s not like the big box hardware stores with high staff turnover. All the staff that we encountered were very knowledgeable. We bought two pieces of shark teeth hunting equipment here. We got a 16 inch round floating sifter for $23.99 and a large shovel sifter for $37.99 (December 2022) This was significantly less expensive than other shops in town. We went to Caspersen Beach and found over a hundred shark teeth in under two hours.

I had an art exhibit emergency and the Art Center was closing all entries in 30 minutes. We drove to Babes, purchased what we needed for properly hanging my painting entry. A very kind gentleman/employee loaned us the proper tools to make the changes and we were in and out in 15 minutes and back to the Venice Art Center to enter the exhibit. I offered $5 for the gentleman who helped us so he could enjoy an afternoon coffee, but the cashier said no, “good service is what we’re known for”. Thank you Ace for your triple Ace Service.

Comprehensive hardware store with very friendly service.

Mike was EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating to my needs. Although they were about to close, he ever so patiently stuck by my side until my list was completed! Everyone was so friendly and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first visit. I definitely highly recommend!!

Arrived just as they were closing ; looking for a new shower head for a very old, outdated shower. They came to the door, let us in and waited on us. Found just what we needed. Thanks for keeping things with a small town feel and helpfulness. They always seem to have just what we need; odd ball stuff much better than the big box stores. Great customer service great place!!!

As a local I take pride in supporting other locally owned stores. Every.single.time that i go into Babe's Ace Hardware (which is at least once or more a month for the past 15 years!) I have been greeted with the same employees and their same happy and knowledgeable presence every time! Not only does this store have everything I need, they are such a joy to visit with. The Dalton family and all of their staff are a wonderful staple in our little slice of paradise! Keep doing what your doing. And please don't change a thing!

Had to make three trips to Babe's Hardware the other day but it was only because we kept forgetting things needed. LOL Babe's hooked us up and we got our projects completed. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Great store right in downtown Venice.

So I come here for basic construction products. House hold products. They even have wood here which is nice. Customer service is great! They have a very knowledgeable staff when it comes to repairs. It helps. I love this place.

I like to support our hometown people!! The big box people are ok for some things but for my big ticket items, I like to shop locally!! I was looking for a grill and knew what I wanted and I knew they price match, assemble, and deliver free!! What more can one ask for? I highly recommend and please support your local businesses, what do you have to lose?

One hell of an establishment. Can't believe the plethora of items the have there. Can find just about anything you need. The true definition of a hardware store. Ace could learn a thing or two! Staff is eager to assist you. Not like most places where they'll just breeze right past you without even a hello. Great job guys!

This is pretty much the epitome of the Hometown Hardware Store of old. It has been around for many many years and they carry a wide variety of somewhat specialized items. Family owned and operated since the beginning. Expertise of those folks is very high. Expertise of some of the others Associates is pretty average. Good place to shop, friendly atmosphere. Prices are higher than you would find at The Big Box store for sure.

Great staff, helpful and courteous. We were there to get many things after closing on our condo in Venice and they treated us like we've been locals for years! Even got our first shark teeth rake there. Highly recommend Babe's.
