So I have to be honest this wasn't our first choice when we got downtown but the other restaurant had stop serving breakfast and we wanted breakfast food for lunch that day. I am so glad we found this little place. We split time between Venice and Covington, GA. and had never known about this little gem of a place. The Upper Crust Cafe & Bakery is amazing. I had the banana bread french toast and this is the best french toast I've ever had. I promise you this is a must on your next visit to Venice, Florida and will be on our list from now on when we are in town. The photos don't do this justice but your taste buds will love you once you experience it for yourself. 5 STARS!!!!! Great atmosphere and very friendly service.

Got a bagel sandwich with an iced coffee. It was filling and delicious. 10/10

Blueberry scone with fresh cream for dessert to fight for (?)🤭 I swear it tastes better as you keep going. I recommend a drink to wash the flavor and enjoy each bite.

Upper Crust is a nothing fancy, everything delicious, light on your wallet restaurant of the sort that’s becoming more and more difficult to find in the area. The food is fresh, clean and tasty; the service friendly and efficient; and the atmosphere fuss-free. The chopped island salad with mixed greens, cabbage, candied pecans and blue cheese is my new favorite lunch. My friends gave thumbs up to their quiches, which were served with salads and croissants. We’ll go back soon. And often.

The scones and cream are a must! If you didn’t get anything else, you’d be satisfied with your time here. With that said, they offer quite a lot of different options for breakfast and lunch to appeal to many different palates. This place is definitely worth a stop! We come at least once every time we’re in Venice.

We were looking for a cozy place for lunch with an variety of simple foods. It was the perfect spot for the best lunch we could have had at a great price and awesome service. We'd recommend it with 5 stars.

My first time dining at this nice little cafe/bakery. I had the Reuben without kraut with a pickle and home made potato chips. It was very good, but messy. I highly recommend and will be back

We visited Upper Crust on a lovely Saturday for lunch and was very fortunate to find a parking spot around the corner. Even though there was wonderful outdoor seating, we chose to dine inside the shotgun house style bakery. The staff greeted us with a generous amount of friendliness and professionalism. The menu was sufficiently stocked with typical cafe items providing a multitude of options. We started with a delicious small bowl of butternut squash soup. I followed it up with a Loaded Turkey sandwich that was definitely loaded. Thick piles of turkey accompanied by bacon, Swiss cheese, tomato, onion, and avocado and a honey horseradish sauce on grilled ciabatta left me feeling full for the day. Well, at least until dinner but we had to eat elsewhere as it is a cafe and bakery and closes around 2 or 3 in the afternoon I believe. Check online for the hours but if you are visiting Venice, as I am, make it a stop as downtown Venice is beautiful and the beach is nearby.

Can you say "best scones ever!"? Went here for brunch, saw the scones, and couldn't resist. Only problem is the rest of the menu looked do good,(admired the plates I saw walking by) I will need to go back! Great coffee, all the smells, smiles, and service. 5 Starz.

This place deserves the good reviews it has. Their scones and pastries are to die for. Their coconut cake is our family’s favorite cake anywhere. They are busy for a reason!

What a great choice to eat brunch here. We were walking along, checking out historic Venice before heading out of town. We thought we should grab a bite before getting on the road and when we searched “breakfast” this is the first place to come up. It was only a few hundred feet away, so we decided to check out the menu.
I like that they serve breakfast until noon, and lunch starts at 11. Some of my family wanted breakfast, while some were ready for lunch.
I was happy with the large selection of salads. I went with the pan seared tuna salad. It was big and delicious! It came with a small croissant. My husband, daughter, and daughter in law all got the crumb cake. They were much bigger than they expected. My oldest daughter got a crab cake sandwich with homemade potato chips. It was all amazing! She didn’t think she was that hungry until she started eating it. She finished the entire thing. Her and I also shared the mimosa special of 2 for $9. I got the peach Bellini and she got the cranberry and fizz. Mine was better.
My middle daughter got the ham and cheese quiche. It came with a small croissant and fresh fruit. She gave me a bite and It was really good!
We ended up with a to-go box of half a crumb cake and 2 croissants, and one for my large salad.
In total our bill was only $64 for 6 people! Not bad at all! Great service from our waitress, Emily. We look forward to eating here again on our next visit to Venice.

We enjoyed a nice lunch here. Good quiche, salads, wraps, coffees. Next time we’ll have to try the desserts.

I highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at Upper Crust! They provided a lovely experience with a large variety of teas to choose from, mini sandwiches & delectable desserts! You just need to book a reservation a few days in advance. I will definitely return just for this!

Cappuccino was very good. They offered milk alternatives. The cinnamon scone was large and crusty on the outside yet soft inside. Very good! Inside and outside dining available.

Excellent place for breakfast in Venice. Great menu. Excellent food. Friendly service. I had French toast and home fries. She had eggs, turkey bacon and toast. We'll be back!

Seriously. I’ve lived here for 6 months and haven’t found this place until this weekend. I’m so upset with myself. Would 10/10 eat breakfast here every day if I could.
The food is great! Crepes aren’t favorite and haven’t been able to find any in the area, besides here! Loved my crepes here.
Price wise ? Very affordable. Great place to eat. It’s a little small in here so I wouldn’t suggest a HUGE party but it’s comfortable for a party of 5-6. But of course that’s my own opinion. Their lunch menu looks great, so I will have to try that out next and the prices for that were extremely affordable as well!

What a hidden gem ! Amazing pancakes and their Crum cake is unbelievably moist and layered with awesomeness. Their Huevos rancheros are undeniably amazing.
