Tropical Winds Oceanfront Hotel

This is our second stay at this hotel. Although the hotel is a tad old, the rooms are clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The location is great, the view is amazing - even from an oceanview room as opposed to oceanfront. The staff is friendly and helpful, check-in/out was fast and easy. The little cafe serves a nice breakfast at reasonable prices. Parking is onsite. We will stay here again when in the area.

What should have been only a one day trip, ended as three nights at Tropical Winds. But we had such a blast in Daytona Beach! There are so much to see, to do and to enjoy. This hotel was a great choice. Special thanks to Sheryl at the reception who was very kind and helpful. We would really love to come back.

The staff at this hotel are super friendly. We especially would note ( lorianne) at the front desk and "pink puff". Too bad the shuffle board wasn't available but we had a fine time anyway.

My Fiance and I stayed here on Thanksgiving 11/24/2023. The hotel room was clean and beautiful scene. We were facing the beach. The overnight front desk Mike Thurston was excellent! I woke up in the middle of the night with a bad headache and he gave me some Motrin. Besides that I lost my keys at another place and he went out of his way to help us. We truly appreciated his help. Especially we were 2 hours away from home. Thank you very much from us!

I want to start off saying I don't have anything bad to say! Not 1 complaint! With that said I want people to go with the understanding that this is not a luxury hotel or resort. Yes there are things that could be renovated or fixed up around the place. It's not a 5 start hotel. However,,, all your needs are met. Comfy and clean bed pillows and room. Great view!! (Sunrise) with a balcony. Clean towels. And room. Super close beach access so if you can't walk distance this is for you. Great front desk staff goes above and beyond and are super sweet! Good price. We will definitely be back. Like I said no frills but you will enjoy yourself be close to the beach with good views in a clean and comfy room. Just with minor dings and things like that but who cares.

Very friendly staff, and very helpful. The oceanfront room was amazing, such a great view. If I had any complaints at all it would be that the elevator is a little slow, and so is the wifi, but if that is the only complaint then they are definitely doing something right

The rooms were clean, the staff was absolutely wonderful. They helped out so much and were so kind. Highly recommend staying at this hotel

We had a king size room over looking the ocean . The place is spotless, not one scratch or blemish and it’s adorable . The pics do not do it justice. The staff is wonderful . Only complaint are pool chairs and bottom of pool could be cleaner .

My experience with Tropical Winds was excellent. The staff Cherie and Toni made stay beautiful. I will be defiantly coming back.

Location was just great and it worked out so well for our group as staff went beyond and above to accomplish all of our needs , all rooms were clean, specious and updated ,the view of a beautiful sunset in the evening right off the balcony was amazing and on top of all that Cherie Front Desk Manager of the Tropical Winds Hotel made sure that we have memorable visit to Daytona ,can’t wait to return .

I loved my stay in room 707. The view from my bed of sunrise and roar of the surf was an unforgettable birthday treat and the staff was so nice. Can't wait to return!!

Nice hotel right on the beach! Room was wonderful. Nice soft beds. Staff was friendly and funny!! Ocean right there to enjoy and 2 pools to also enjoy!! Great family fun!! Thank you for having us!!

I may not have stayed in many hotels, but I can safely say this is one of the best I've stayed at. It is remarkably clean, has free wifi, cable, a beautiful view of the ocean, and two swimming pools. The view at night is truly something. The only two complaints that I can possibly make is a pillow shortage and a slightly confusing to use shower. Otherwise, again it is the best hotel I've stayed at

This is the second time I stay in this hotel and never dissapointed. The hotel from outside look very simple and is simple but the customer service! the best...I want to say thank you to Tamania, I wish every person that work with customer service have her personality. The room super clean. Location, access to the beach, clean pool and the balcony view it is beautiful... cant wait to stay again!! This is not a luxury hotel just a clean good place to stay and with good location but have everything you need to have fun!

Wonderful hotel. Me and my husband are from FL, born and raised. We have stayed at many hotels in the Daytona Beach area, everywhere from the Hilton and beyond. When I say that while this hotel is older just like mostly all of them, it is clean. I am quite OCD and this place smelt clean when you walked in. Front desk staff were lovely and nice. Room service was also very kind and offered anything you needed. The rooms were very clean. This is one of the few hotels where the outdoor pool and beach access is fully open. The Tropical Winds Cafe is awesome! We had breakfast two times there. You can call down and order it for takeout as well. Fast and delicious food. They are open from 8am to 2pm, and take cash only, just as a heads up! This hotel is situated closer to the Ormond Beach area which I prefer more. It is just a nicer area in general. If you go up a couple lights you will find an adorable downtown shop area and a bunch of different restaurants. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Nice, small, quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Room has fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. I have stayed here several times, and it's always been a good experience.

We stay here every year. We love it and the staff as well. New faces this year but everyone still as friendly and make you feel at home. Make sure you eat breakfast at the diner while your there.
