Cafe con Leche

This little gem reminds me of the nice little cafes we visited in Cuba and in Mexico. The atmosphere is lovely with some nice music and bright colourful walls. It gets a little busy around lunch time which tells you how popular this place is.
The owners are super nice and helped us pick some good breakfast items for a quick bite. Definitely will be coming back to try their lunch and dinner. Don’t forget to order a cafe con leche.

Steak fajitas were perfect. Large enough for two people. Churros were a last-minute add and were worth it!

Almost drove by before realizing I miss authentic Cuban food and coffee. So stopped in to check out the menu and for a mini coffee break. The Cuban coffee is double the 'normal' portions most folks drink, ie a full colada- 4 oz for only $2.75! Great for me. Gorgeous froth and perfect sweetness served with 4 thimble type cups if you feel like sharing 🙃. Delicious!! The Lady who served us was so nice! Sounded like the owner. 4 locations- Ormond, Flagler, Port Orange and I forgot where the other 1 she told me was. I will be back- looking for that perfect Media Noche!

Update: visited again 27 September 2023- Loved the shrimp ceviche- tasted tangy and fresh! and hubby loved the Cuban sandwich. We also ordered the yuca frita- but they didn't have the flavor I was expecting. They seemed bland. Also, ordered the chicharron- we finished it 🙃

The BEST Cuban Sandwich in town by far. This is the Ridgewood (US 1) location. It’s considered the best place to get Latin Food by most locals and it’s run by a friendly staff of Latinos which is comforting if you are worried about it being authentic.

Really nice place for some Spanish food. Don't go there all the time, but they are very good. Have to try the new location in Ormond Beach.

If your looking for authentic Latino food Cafe con Leche, is the perfect place to go. The Cuban sandwich was chunks of pork not deli meat pork. They have a little bit of everything, from Cuban food, Puerto Rican, mexican, and other latin dish the prices are fare, food is hot and the flavor was excellent. I wish I would of found this place at the beginning of my trip, we would of tryed everything. Definitely coming back. I'm from South Carolina and we do not have a lot of Latin restaurants .

Always go here for the Cuban sandwich. It's something to consider splitting with someone or having for another meal. The employees are always friendly and the service is fast. You can eat inside or outside. Reasonable prices.

Just had the best roast pork I’ve had since I moved from south Florida. Tiny place at the end of a strip mall, in my experience that’s where you can find the best foods and this was one of those situations.

Order at the counter, a few tables to sit at and they were doing a great takeout volume too. I had the aforementioned roast pork which was super tender, moist and so flavorful you didn’t need the extra lime. The black beans were perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of liquid to soak in the rice but not be soup. The sweet plantains were just at the border of caramelized mushiness and had that perfect toothsome bite with the crispy/chewy edges.

My father had the fried pork chunks which were a bit less flavorful but still expertly prepared with well rendered chunks of melty fat along with the tender meat.

Everything is super clean and the service is very friendly. I told the woman at the counter (the owner I think?) that it was the best Cuban food I’d had in 10 years and she was beaming. I absolutely need to go back for breakfast (chicharron breakfast?!? Yes please) and lunch (croquettes sandwich!).

What I can say is this place is as authentic as it gets! Whether you looking for Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican etc… there are many choices to desire any taste buds! Oh and while I didn’t have any, my mother said the coffee is amazing. Anytime I’m in the area I’ll definitely be stopping by this hole in the wall.

Food and service are both superb here!!! Had lengua tacos and the chicharronres today.

Very good Spanish food Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican Caribbean even Mexican. Good service tasty well price.

The breakfast burrito was very good and filling! I have also gotten a Cuban sandwich and tacos in the past always great! Recommend :)

If you are in the mood for authentic Cuban cuisine then you need to visit this place! Honestly made me feel like I was back in Miami in the old days! Two thumbs way up to your establishment. Eating areas are clean, personnel who work there are very kind and sweet hearted. Makes you feel like you have visited a friend's house and enjoyed a great Cuban meal.

Food here is absolutely AMAZING. Cuban food was something I always ate on vacation growing up, and it seems to have largely disappeared from the area in recent years. This place is the real deal. Authentic Cuban sandwiches, amazing Cuban coffee (get it with just sugar!), perfect plantains, delicious cream cheese flan, and more. I cannot speak highly enough of the food here. The staff was super friendly too!

If you're looking for great Cuban food in the Daytona area, this is 100% the place to go.

I have been eating here regularly every week for about a month. I absolutely love the Cuban sandwich and the rice and beans are ALWAYS on point. Staff is more then friendly and it makes going into this establishment that much more meaningful

Excellent food every time. Love the lechon asado and the Palomilla steak. Today I’m trying the chorizo breakfast burrito! Excellent.

Our new favorite place when we take breaks in field service. The coffee and the pastries(guava filling) can’t remember the exact name, are freshly made. Then lately we decided to have lunch there every Friday and everything we ordered are great. Authentic Cuban and other South American dishes. So far I had the carnitas tacos, fried red snapper with rice and beans and plantains, Cuban sandwich, Ropa Vieja. I try to have new dish each time I visit. And they’re all good and big servings, you can take home for later the leftover. Only thing I can suggest though are the sitting outside. The bench are attached to the table that is kinda hard to get in. Other than that, All is well. Pat, Daniel and all the staff are friendly and nice.

The food and service were both excellent!! So much variety on the menu and everything we got was delicious, can’t wait to return and try more!

What a lovely place! Had a wonderful coffee and breakfast sandwich with my son. He told me about all the delicious things he'd tried.
Im going to have to take a few things back to SC❤
