My wife and I loved this place! Nothing fancy but the food is damn good. We had the pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and beans, everything was homemade. We also had the buttermilk pie which was delicious. Stop by and give them a try the people are super pleasant also.

While camping across the border in GA, we looked up nearby restaurants. This place came up for Q, so we gave it a try. No regrets!

Is it bad we tried the Buttermilk Pie first? It tasted like the custard you get in an Eclaire pastry. Sooo good! So definitely get it for dessert!

I've been looking for BBQ that isn't dry. Found it at this small but interesting restaurant. Joe is the owner and was the only person working the day we stopped. Like every restaurant, he is short of help and doing it all himself, so please be patient or call ahead and order.

Loved the chipped BBQ and ribs. The platter came with coleslaw (simple with mayo, green peppers and onions.) It helped break up the acidity of the bbq sauce. He was out of beans so offered the Brunswick stew, which I took him up on.

The Stryker Dog - weiners, chili, BBQ, Q-onions, Q-slaw, pickles, crackers, and bbq sauce. What's not to like?

A definite stop if you are in the area!

First time eating there today. Excellent chopped BBQ, mustard based sauce and sweet tea. I will be back.

Best BBQ sandwich in town. Think of the perfect country bumpkin BBQ spot with absolutely delicious BBQ and this is it.

Used to go here on a regular basis in the mid ‘90s when I was with 3d Rgr Bn. Loved it then, love it now. Glad to see it’s still around. A local gem. Keep it up!

Had the Ranger plate. Always a good choice. Everytime I come to Benning, this is my favorite place to eat.

Food is top notch and the staff are awesome. I was having lunch yesterday and a car accident happend in front of the restaurant. The guy behind the counter (I think the owner) ran out of his business to direct traffic on the highway. Great food from obviously great people.

I stopper here for a late lunch on THU., 2-25-2021.
I had the Ranger plate (chopped pork, ribs, baked beans, potato salad) with sweat tea, all were excellent. The setting was great, the staff very friendly.
My only complaint is that they seemed to close too early.
It's places like this that make me enjoy trips down south.

This place is DANGEROUSLY GOOD! I've been going here for about 25 years (off and on while stationed at Ft. Benning), and, after retiring in the area, I'm a routine patron. Sam and his staff are fantastic people who always serve great food, sweet tea and buttermilk pie. Their BBQ is hands down the best in the area. I would love it if they served brisket, but I can deal with that. Go here, you won't be disappointed.

I always make sure to stop by whenever I’m in the area and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Definitely some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Keep up the good work!

Best BBQ ribs ever! I worked in Ft. Mitchell for over 3-1/2 years, and ate there almost every day.....now that I'm back in ATL, I look forward to my visits back to AL just so I can go by there & "stock up".....the kitchen and bathrooms are always super clean, the staff is friendly, and I love the rustic atmosphere.

Outstanding place to grab a bite to eat on the way to, or from, Fort Benning. Especially near the Dropzone. Love this place.

If you like southern barbecue get here and stay here. The owner is happy to share some tips and tips and tricks to help home barbecuers take their meats to the next level. The ribs and pork shoulder embody the spirit and flavor of southern Q.

5 stars doesn’t do this place justice. The food is excellent every time I’ve been. The staff is super friendly and extremely patient. They talk you through the menu if you are confused. The prices are really good and I can feed my family if three for around $20.

Good BBQ. I have tried the ribs, chopped shoulder baked beans, bbq cole slaw, regular cole slaw, brunswick stew, and potato salad so far. Got the regular sauce by mistake instead of the hot one. I personally wasn't disappointed, but I was ordering takeout for other people who wanted hot, and I didn't want to touch their orders to check.

Quite the hidden gem of the Phenix City-Columbus area. I’ve been there multiple times and it’s always a wonderful visit. There are times it could be faster but the staff is great. For being Alabama bbq the price is fair for what you’re getting. The buttermilk pie is fantastic! I will be going back on a regular basis.

I really enjoy this BBQ restaurant! The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Fort Mitchell is lucky to have this restaurant, and the proximity to the base is also wonderful.

I have been eating good bbq in nc for my whole life. The bbq at the bbq house was some of the best bbq I have ever had in my entire life. I will definitely be returning. It was quick, the owner is nice, and it has that rustic feel that a real bbq place has. I highly recommend
