While out looking for something good to eat, I ran into a taste tester who was testing Lemon Garlic Butter and Spinach Anchovies Dip 👀 Chell’s is a black owned business. I highly recommend you try these items.

Came in for some doughnuts and a king cake from doughnut hole . Got caught up with all the other good stuff I forgot Mathernes had. Definitely some of the best finger sandwiches around especially the roast beef. While there the hubigs pie man had fully stocked them with pies and I was able to get some with out the headache that most stores are having with trying to get them.

Fresh everything! Fruit, vegetables, hot food, etc. Family-friendly atmosphere, will be back. Plenty parking & wheelchair accessible.

Store is huge and has a largd selection of products. The cashier was very friendly and professional. Prices were pretty good too. I would highly recommend this grocery store.

Five stars every time. My favorite place to shop for all my groceries needs. It’s always a pleasant experience and the cashiers are so friendly. Today I had Ava, she was great! I love the wide selection of wine and the rare liquors. So nice to have a convenient and local place to go and be in and out with no issues!

I always find what no one else has here. They also have great deals on ice cream. I do believe it is the lowest in the area. Their breakfast and hot food section are always great. There is nothing negative to say. In and out every time.

Really nice people that work here. The hot breakfast was pretty good. And the salad bar looked so beautiful. If I lived there I would certainly return.

All kinds of local foods from crawfish boudin to frog legs .. great steaks .. every local beer possible.. prices slightly high. But the service is worth it.. still kicking. Still the best place ever.and ever

Matherne's is my favorite and only go to grocery store. I go there quite often and they have great food, friendly staff and great prices. Best of all, they're local and I support that.

I absolutely love Matherne's Supermarket! The worker's are always really nice and super helpful. They also have an amazing selection and the store is extremely neat and organized. They sell cooked food that is perfect family meals and they also have larger portions that you can order if you are having a party or event. The fruit and veggies are fresh and the sweet treats are to die for! Some items are slightly more expensive than other grocery stores, but in my opinion it is worth it for the quality of your overall shopping experience.

Great prices and bargains in every department. The store is clean and he staff very helpful. If you want frozen crawfish tails, you have to ask for them - they are kept in a freezer behind a counter in the front of the store.

I love the little store that has a lot. Great cooked food, delicious chicken salad, beautiful cuts of meat and you can top it off with lotto or scratch tickets. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the prices aren't to bad either.

As far as I am concerned, Matherine's is the top grocery in the River Parishes. The food from the deli is restaurant quality (and less expensive). Store Manager and his staff understand customer service and work hard to deliver a great experience for all their customers!!

Very pleasant from front to back we'll stocked merchandise, Haven't seen that much working in any store in years. Well worth the little extra cost to be in a professional environment such as this store. Associates all very eager to assist you and gladly stop what they are doing to answer any questions.

The butcher is great with awesome specialty cuts to order. The deli meats are tasty with fast friendly service, the cashiers always have a smile and everyone takes care to ensure all of their goids are meeting quality standards from shelf to bagging.

All of the employees are super nice and easy to get along with and have no problem with special orders. I particularly like the meat manager Joe. Most importantly, checkout is super fast unlike Winn Dixie.
