The Porterhouse

I’ve ate here probably a dozen times now. I travel to Philadelphia for work a good bit and this is by far the best place to eat if you’re in town.

From their steaks, to their catfish and grits, to their gumbo, you can’t go wrong.

On top of the delicious food is a fantastic wait staff that are all super friendly and are great to talk with.

All the bartenders are super friendly can make almost any cocktail or drink you can imagine. The waitstaff is super friendly and very knowledgeable of their menu.

Give this place a go if you’re in town and want some amazing food from some good folks.

Tonight was the first time we have tried PorterHouse. Our waiter, Bobby was so friendly. He was attentive and made sure to take care of our table. Everyone of the staff that were there tonight were so friendly. Our food was delicious. I had the red fish with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. My husband had the ribeye and it was both great! Our boys had the chicken tenders which they enjoyed! We definitely will be back!

Had a delicious dinner at @PhillyPorterHouse last night started off with the Crab Dip w/ Pita Chips which tasted great and was full of crab. Then I moved on to the Gumbo, which was packed with chicken, sausage, and a whole lot of flavor. Finally for the main course I had a 6oz. Filet Mignon w/ Fries. Seasoning on this steak was bold but not overpowering definitely let the meat shine and the cook was a perfect medium. All in all a very good meal!

First time eating here and I was impressed! They were very busy when we arrived so we opted to sit in the bar area vs the 20+ minute wait it was going to be. The service was excellent, food was great, and the atmosphere was on point for this style of restaurant and bar.

I had the Creole Red Fish with crawfish sauce and asparagus. Yes it was great! Lacked just a little on the portion in my opinion.
My daughter had the Salmon and I was surprised to see her eating it. I tried a bite and was disappointed I hadn’t ordered it myself.
A friend of mine ordered the 20oz boned in ribeye and from the looks of it and the satisfaction on his face I think the chef must have done the job. That’s about all I can say since I didn’t taste it.

I will definitely be going back to try the salmon and the steak in the future.

Visited for dinner with my girlfriend, good little date night spot that won't break the bank. She had the ribeye and I had the redfish, both were very good. I enjoyed the atmosphere and we had an overall great experience.

The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Went with a small group of 4 people, everyone felt the same about the service and food.
I'm usually not big on steakhouses, I prefer to have my meat cut and grill them myself. The filet was cooked perfectly and the lobster tail was spot on.
I'd highly recommend giving The Porterhouse a try, it's worth the money.

Great 1st experience, what a delicious steak. Kelli was a great waitress. My boy Brody (bartender) recommended crab cream sauce over the top of the steak & it was phenomenal. Drinks were great, overall 12/10.

I had the 14oz Ribeye and it was probably the best steak I've ever had and was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The waitress was very nice. It was beautiful inside and a great atmosphere. The parking lot needs some work but all in all it was a great experience. If I ever go back to Philadelphia, I will eat there again!

Great service and wonderful food. It was the best redfish I have ever had. The baked potato and broccoli were fantastic.

Food was very delicious, server was on top of her job, had live band playing to entertainment customers, the only issue we had was a couple that look at us for our skin color didn't want to sit next to us... Our money spends just as well as theirs... Overall I recommend 10 out of 10..

One of the best chicken dishes I've ever had in my life was the spinach chicken. Great service and great atmosphere.

Came here on recommendation from a friend and had an amazing experience. Best crab claws I've ever had, steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, bread was fresh and came with homemade butter, I could even taste the smoke in the bacon that came on the baked potato. And it was all reasonably priced. The Porterhouse is now a mandatory stop for us every time we're in town. Highly recommend.

Walking thru the door it feels like your with family . The staff don't meet strangers only friends . The food an service was excellent. The price was to good to be true I thought . Hardly any wait time . A large variety on the order menu. A night to remember for a long time .

Had a fantastic steak - perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as ordered, The staff was wonderful, the music was awesome, The drinks were strong. Thanks Macee! I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Still awesome staff and amazing food!! Best steakhouse in Philly!!!! Some places lose that little thing called customer service but not here same customer service if not better as the years go on!!!

Absolutely delicious! My wife and I went here on our anniversary. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was prompt taking our order. He brought our drinks, and some bread. Our meals were fabulous. The service was excellent, and we even had a delicious brownie and ice cream dessert! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars!

Great atmosphere and even better food!!! I have known the owner since before he opened this wonderful restaurant...if you haven't ever been there, put it on your next to go to restaurant!! Worth every penny you spend! If I could I would give them 10 stars! 🥰

Looking for a great place to eat while in town. Great atmosphere, food and service. We might come back tomorrow night for a 2nd round! My wife had a Chicken Panko plate and I had a perfectly cooked med- rare sirloin. Highly recommend.
