The Carriage House Inn

We stayed here back in 2021, and we loved the place so much that we are going back again, the cottage we stayed in was so nice and well kept, the courtyard is very quaint and relaxing, sitting by the firepit in the evening made it perfect and meeting others as they traveled thru the area, They have some cute cottages on the property for your stay here in Mena. The foliage is spectacular during the fall as we drove the Talihina drive, the town is small but I love the smallness of it, they have several restaurants to eat at and few a shops to look thru when you stay here. The owners of The Carriage House Inn made our stay so special that we are returning again 2023.

Lovely and tranquil lodging. The hosts have painstakingly remodeled the property to be accommodating and modern yet in keeping with the charm of days forgotten.
The kitchen was amply stocked with all one might need to cook a meal and the appliances were thoughtfully chosen in keeping with an earlier era.
This was by far our favorite lodging out of our Arkansas and Missouri two week trip.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sonoma suite. Clean fresh room with a very comfortable bed. The grounds are beautiful and I loved the water feature in the yard. The welcoming soft classical music was a pleasant surprise and chocolate chip cookies were amazing. Would love to stay here again.

An absolutely wonderful experience in every way! At the end of a long day of driving, we stopped in Mena for dinner and stumbled upon an available "room" at the Carriage House Inn. It wasn't just a room, it was a small private cottage that was beautifully decorated with access to a wonderful and large back yard (including a large fire pit area and some roaming chickens!). The reception was amazingly personal and friendly...as they showed us around the property. Walkable to some downtown restaurants, tranquil, and relaxing...it was definitely the surprise highlight of our roadtrip.

First, I would like to start this off by asking if we could just move in….please?
Before arriving to the cottage Ashley had provided an amazing list of places to eat and visit during our stay. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Scott, he made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. In the kitchen we had the most amazing chocolate chip cookies waiting. We would drive another 5 hours to stay one night just for those cookies.

On the last night the tornado sirens went off and Scott was at our door guiding us to the shelter. We met the entire family including their two dogs!

Scott and Ashley, you are amazing and we can’t wait to stay again!

This sweet little farmhouse was lovely! Cozy & comfortable, private & secluded, yet conveniently located just a short walk downtown to several great shops & eateries & even a delightful brewery/coffee shop/pizzeria. There, we happened upon an evening of musical entertainment, which we enjoyed so much we returned for a second night! Hosts, Ashley & Scott, were so warm & welcoming, had wonderful recommendations, and even greeted us with homemade cookies. Tasteful decor with great linens & bedding and the quiet & solitude of the inviting gardens in back made this adorable property tops on our list of return getaways; can’t wait for the Fall! Everything we needed & absolutely superb!

Was blown away by how quaint and cute this property is! It’s extremely apparent ( and greatly appreciated ) how thoughtful Scott and Ashley are in making the guest feel welcomed and at home. The waterfall adds to a serene nights sleep in the cozy bed liens. Loved being able to walk to restaurants and a park. Only got to stay two nights for work, second day was ruff.. coming back to this sweet spot took away the stress from the day and had the best sleep. This is my first time stayin in lodging accommodations like this and I throughly enjoyed it. The only suggestion I have is a full length mirror, iron board and iron in the Sonoma Suite, everything else was perfect😊 will absolutely come back and tell my co-works about this gem!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Sonoma Suite - historic charm with a completely modernized room experience. Good space, comfy bed, excellent bathroom. We look forward to staying in one of the host's rooms in the future.

I’m a student and needed to stay in Mena for 5 weeks and somewhere that close to the hospital. I looked at motels online but all of them looked disgusting and gross. Then, I found this place! I called Ashley and told her my time frame, budget, etc. She mentioned the Farm House which has a king bed, full bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, and a tv. That was perfect for me! Throughout my stay her family was so accommodating, sweet and easy to get ahold of. The hospital was just over a mile away, a laundromat across from the hospital, a park and a diner within walking distance, and plenty of trails in the area to hike in your free time. The Farm House is very private, clean, and looks brand new! If I ever find myself back in Mena and need a place to stay, I will not hesitate to call Ashley and book a room again. They have different sized housing for what you need and I would love to try one of the other houses, each one looks so cute! Even though I wasn’t staying here for leisure, it sure felt like it because the property was so quiet and relaxing. I loved my stay here!

Made a last minute booking here. All I can say that it was the best thing I did. Stayed in the little loft room and was pleasantly surprised with the room and the property. Almost decided to spend another night just because it was such a nice place.

The owners Ashley and Scott were warm and gracious hosts. The place is tucked away inside a quiet neighborhood not too far from downtown and very close to the Talimena Senic Byway. Excellent location. You won't regret making a booking here. On of the best experiences I've had so far.

Ashley was so understanding when I had to cancel due to the virus outbreak. I was sooo looking forward to my stay at The Carriage House. The home and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. If I get the chance to visit again The Carriage House is the only place I want to stay.

Beautifully restored historical home, friendly family, great place to stay. Much better choice than a cheap, half rate hotel in such a small town. One of the best options, we will definitely be planning another stay with them

Excellent place to stay in Mena. Rooms are very nice. Property is great, lots of outdoor space. Owners are also very nice.

The owners are kind and thoughtful, very accommodating. The property is beautiful, charming and relaxing. The room was comfortable clean and lovely, with everything you need.
