Animal Care Center

my little buddy had been sick for a few days and my home remedy efforts weren't paying off, so I started looking around for a vet (his only vet history has been with the mobile pet vac for shots/flea meds and the humane society when he was neutered).
I went down the meager list of local veterinarians and started making inquiries. An Iva vet seemed aloof from the start, then even condescending when I said I would have to pay in cash or make payments, abruptly offering me an appointment 4 days later (after I'd explained that he'd not pooped for 3 days already at that point...) fortunately the person I spoke with at the next place, the animal care center, explained that they also didn't take payments but cash would work and gave me a time within a couple of hours of my call to bring him on in.
The staff and doctor were really nice and explained the potential issues and treatments and made sure he didn't have an intestinal blockage. She gave him an Rx (I could have used one myself for anxiety!!) and sent us home.
I hope I never have to go back, but if I do, I don't have any 2nd thoughts about going back.

Dr. Melinda is amazing at what she does and is great at working under pressure. My family has been taking our pets to her for at least 18 years now, and I know she will do her best for every patient she sees.

Got an appointment fast, the vet was really good at explaining my dogs condition and didn't rush through and took her time with us.

Had to put an animal to sleep they where compassionate and made it a little easier with kindness

Wonderful vet wonderful staff. They will work with you to schedule your babies in and take wonderful care of them and not charge you an arm and a leg. They treat all my dogs amazing even when they are scared and not at their friendliest. I remember Melinda coming to my house to work on my horses when I was just a little girl she's always been great to me and my animals.

Very nice people! For a home style business, I was easily swayed into thinking this was a tiny house that sells shots and meds. Boy was I wrong. It's an amazing place to bring your pets, and very affordable shots.
