Jane Addams Trail - Wes Block Trailhead

This is a great trail, well maintained (often I see Dave biking with his shovel, filling in holes), scenery is varied and rustic, and unlike the roads that get better when you cross into Wisconsin, the Badger trail gets worse! And, they removed the fee box at the start of the trail, so you could get fined if they catch you. That trail is not recommended for a racer type street bike.
The Spring picture is of the old mill in Scioto Mills, IL. They would load their product straight from the mill on to the train...smart! Just as you cross Rt26, there is a covered bridge that was built a couple of years ago. Be sure to enjoy the small lake and nature look-out here. The Autumn picture was taken North of Orangeville, IL.

Great trail for walking, jogging or biking...just grab the big spray!

Peaceful, quiet, but don't forget your bug spray! I visited after a couple weeks after my area had experienced a week of rain. The mosquitoes swarmed me! My fault for not being prepared.

Wife and I loved this trail, went there for Memorial Day. It a had great shade covered trail. We went for about 20 miles. Would definatly recommend

Good spot to start out a bike ride or run. Bathrooms available and plenty of parking. Bring bug spray for the trail.
