Love the selection of sweet old things, costume jewelry and crafts. And loved chatting with the owner.

Very unique gift shop, was closed when we were there but will return and will do a longer review later. Looking forward to returning this summer. I love shops like this. So different, So creative. So Maine.

If you value being treated like a human being, steer clear of this hell hole. Especially as a Mainer.

Things are very cheap and fairly priced, but it quickly becomes apparent this is the *ONLY* way the place can survive as a business. The old lady running the place immediately greets you with a threatening and scolding “where are you from?” And when you regrettably answer her with being from Maine, she doubles down on the threatening attitude, mentioning “good that’s what we want here.”

It’s not just a joke, it’s a backhanded and dangerous tone that’s met with complete seriousness. I know dry humor, this is not it. As a lifelong Mainer, I will steer others clear of this very unwelcoming, non-Maine like, junk-filled horse stable of a business.
