La Riviera Mexican Grill

I can’t say enough good stuff about La Riviera!!! It looks like their Facebook page is kept current, with more info than google maps, so make sure you go to their fb page.
On to my review! We had actually chosen a different taco place for dinner but they were jam packed and didn’t answer the phone for takeout so we searched for other restaurants.
We found and agreed on la riviera. We called ahead for seating. Since we already struck out with one restaurant, we wanted to be a step ahead & we had a party of 7. They weren’t that busy, and we let them know that we would be there in a half hour.
The restaurant was easy to find. They were expecting us, and we were glad we got there when we did, because shortly after we got there, every seat and every table was taken!
I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in! It was bright and festive, happy! The restaurant is small, but it’s homey. The waitstaff is very very kind, very very sweet and genuine.

The cooks, oh my the cooks!!!! They work magic! Those dishes they prepared for us were huge portions, extremely flavorful and frankly the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten!!

The salsa was highly flavorful with plenty of cilantro. I honestly could RAVE about each dish! I wish my stomach could hold more because the food was so delicious and flavorful!!

I wish I could have gotten dessert too!!! This is my favorite authentic restaurant, maybe even my absolute favorite!

I will be returning, and I will be bringing other family and friends with me!

Totally friendly staff and cosy environment. Not too noisy. Serves superb comfort food. We ordered the fajitas and seriously thinks this can be shared. The portion is rather generous I would say. Couldn't really finish all. Its a pity. Would recommend anyone to come try!

My family and I were driving through town and found Riviera’s. Some of the best authentic food I’ve had! Vegetarian Fajita was very yummy, and the portion size was more than I could finish. I’ll be coming back next time I’m in town!

Wonderful food and a nice quiet family atmosphere. Had the Burrito Loco for dinner and absolutely loved it! Shared the Flan for dessert and I was equally impressed. Very delicious! The non corporate feel of the inside made me feel like I was back eating in Mexico. Only downside was not having a margarita or Corona with dinner. Prices are great and service was spot on. Will definitely be back for more!

When you walk in, it can be rather... underwhelming. Nothing stands out, looks kind of small and the booths/tables aren't the nicest. I also come from a bigger city so I am used to more flair when I dine.

That being said, this place has the absolute best Mexican food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The waiter brought us out chips, as is customary in these restaurants. The salsa is delightful, the perfect amount of spice for a house salsa. Refills were brought free of charge.

Chicken a la Mexicana (pictured below) is what I was lucky enough to choose that night. Above average portion sizes and the taste was incredible. Perfectly cooked and topped with some Mexican sausage that idk where it came from, heaven? Probably. No tortillas for me, but I had extra rice and ate it with chips and I seriously couldn't stop eating. Even then, I still had enough for entire meal the next night.

10/10 HIGHLY recommend.

ALSO, prices are more than fair for what you get. $9-13 a meal is more than worth it.

We ordered the tacos de carne asada and the beef fajitas and it was off the chain good! Huge menu selection and great service!

This place is amazing!! We have been back here multiple times and the food is same every time!! Flavorful and always made the way you ask! Owner is a gem! Will keep coming back!

WOW! Chimichanga de Casa ... Chicken, steak and.grilled shrimp. HUGE portion, lots guac, sour cream and pico. Plate is 16" long, packed full. Muy delicioso!!! Fast, good service too.

The food was extremely good and the waitress was super friendly.

I can't say enough good about this place. I've been here multiple times with family and friends and always suggest this place for someone looking for great food. I've never left here hungry. You get a ton of amazing food for a tiny price. So much flavor packed onto a plate its hard to say it all. I will for sure be coming back with family as always because this place is amazing. The owner is a pretty cool guy as well as the waitresses are always amazing. Can't wait to come back!

We came in about 20 minutes before close, desperate for a place to eat. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, and our takeout was ready quickly! Everything the four of us ordered was DELICIOUS, plus they gave us lots of chips. Great prices for the portion. This place may not look like much, but the great service and food cannot be beat. Would definitely order again if I'm back in town.

Out of town visitors, its Small place on river, .... Salsa has good flavor and food was great, Will definitely be be back if in the area again !!

Great service, warm and friendly. The salsa, beans, rice were so yummy and fresh tasting. Great quality, would definitely recommend. They could use better street visibility as we almost missed them on a busy street.

This restaurant was recommended by the folks at the Brewery, because they were at capacity. When you drive up, it is not much to look at. However, the food and the service were excellent. Every restaurant we visited on this trip, was short staffed, but not La Rivera. I had a Burrito, which was excellent. Their chips and salsa were excellent as well. Highly Recommended!

I've tried nine different things (*over time) lol... and Ive truly loved every dish! :0)

UPDATE...(*05-22-22) - Dine-in, if possible. The take-out portions have been expensive and disappointing.

Love this place! REALLY good food, nice staff and reasonable prices! They follow social distancing rules :)
We have really enjoyed this place in the past, however the last time we ate there the service was just bad and my meal was disappointing since in the past it was so good, this time not so much.
Has there been a change in management or ownership?

Thought we'd try again, said on on this site. They were closed! Maybe closed on Mondays?

Excellent food, friendly staff, fast service, great prices. Please note that when they say spicy, they mean it! Their dinners are big enough for any hunger, and their a la carte menu has lots of great, inexpensive lunch options. Highly recommend! Dining in space is limited, but atmosphere is nice. Take out is quick and easy, so we usually go with that. Well worth the drive across town!

This place is so absolutely delicious and am excellent choice to eat at. The owner and his daughter did a great job taking care of our family of 5 this afternoon. Serving sizes of food is epic. Highly recommend the carne asada and the burrito gigante - huge! We love this place.
