Fortune House Restaurant

Nice place with good food! Wish I'd known about it sooner as it's not too far from me. The food was very good & flavorful. Service was very good as well. It didn't seem like it was walking in, but it's a pretty good-sized restaurant. We parked in the rear and went in the back as Main Street gets very busy.
Will definitely return!

Went for lunch early, we were the only ones there. We will definitely be back for dinner soon. Food was delicious! My only complaint is that they don't have my favorite, Sweet and Sour Pork, they have chicken but not pork. I survived with another pork dish. LOL

The food is SO good here!! Authentic recipes & fresh ingredients. Everything made from scratch, instead of dumped out of a can onto a plate. My husband had pho & I had chicken pad Thai. Both were fantastic.

Decor is a little old/faded, but everything is clean & the food is great, so you kind of overlook the small flaws. Worth coming back to! We live an hour away from here & will make the drive in a heartbeat to get quality Chinese food.

Looks like dreadful cliche middle American faux-Chinese (though the visual kitsch is charming for us hopeless old farts) but it is astonishly good. They name some dishes--or such is my presumption--to soothe the hackles, real or imaginary, of small town Michigan thus what is obviously satay becomes a Meat Stick as if it were a Sino-Tibetan Slim Jim. They have pho and curry as well. Pretty good, especially for, well, small town Michigan. Impressed.

This place is home. The people, the food, the smells, the feels. What a gem in Owosso! You can’t find flavors, spices, and sauces like this just anywhere. Treat yourself. <3

I love Fortune House! You’ve gotta try the General Tso’s Chicken, and the Spring Rolls. We eat here every time we are in Owosso!

Best restaurant in the county, and truly an Owosso staple! I’ve lived in NYC for a bit, and I’ve never had an EGG ROLL as good as the ones they make here. Same goes for the General Taos, and maybe even the Egg Drop Soup. I can’t praise this place enough. I’m a chef who’s well traveled, and maybe it’s the nostalgia, but Fortune House is one of my favorite restaurants.

This is the best chinese food that I have ever had. I drive with my family a good 40 minutes to get here and will continue to do so. The owners remember us and our order. The server Heather is always really nice and often times will remind me what I'm forgetting with my order just because she knows me better than I do sometimes! lol. This place has flavor and good quantity and quality at great prices. They are really good with substitutions and modifications for meals, the vegan/veggie options are great! Still the same delicious food as it was when I used to live in that town in 2013!!!!!!!!!! Love this place :)

ALWAYS love my favorite Chinese restaurant! The owners are husband/wife with family that works there. Great owners. Always allow me to specialize my order off menu because we purchase a ton of food at once! LOVE THEM! And I absolutely love their food! Hope this restaurant stays around for many more years!

My first time in, and it was great! The food is made fresh not from a box. Everything was amazing! Got two appetizers, two soups and two meals for 36 bucks. The best part was our server Gonie, she was incredible, knowledgeable very friendly and appreciative! Thank you

Delicious Chinese food! We get the beef and vegetables, almond chicken or sweet and sour and the portions are big and tasty. Egg rolls are crisp and good sized. They have jumbo fried shrimp which we love. Very good!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY FAVORITE CHINESE PLACE!!! They always allow me to customize my orders and always make me and my family feel welcomed. I worked here 10yrs ago when I was pregnant and the husband wife owners were amazing and still are to this day! Great restaurant I hope is around for many more years!!

We’ve been coming here every Christmas Eve since 1997. Maybe it’s tradition and covid made it’s mark, but if ordering Chinese food from Owosso this is who we call.

The egg rolls are to die for! Seriously my absolute favorite!! All the food is delicious.

Wow! I just ate at Chinese restaurant that isn't located in a strip mall or use the same menus as a thousand other Chinese restaurants out there! And boy was it yummy!

I had almond boneless chicken combination that came with variant fried rice, egg roll and soup with the fried chicken breast sliced on a bed of lettuce and a unique sauce that is very delectable and I only have found here.

Mostly booth seating with a bar with a somewhat limited selection of liquors and other libations.

The service provided by Heather was not only friendly, very polite but she was able to answer my questions.

I definitely recommend eating here!

Really good food. We always buy spring rolls from them at the Meridian farmer's market. Today we took a drive up to Owosso to support their restaurant for the first time. Was not disappointed. Food was delicious, and the family running the business was very kind. Will be back again!
